Instead of bumping my own thread with an update, I'll just update this and let other people bump it instead. [Okay, I lied. I just bumped it.] First off, <The Covenant> is still recruiting (hence the title). Most of us have taken breaks for the summer, but now we're back. And now we want you -- badly -- to join our guild. If I had to put a label on the guild, it would be "social guild that does all sorts of stuff". What sort of stuff? Well, here is a brief list of things that some Covenant members do: - kill bosses - fight in the arena (badly) - fly in circles - your mom - collect legendary items - attend Pax East - go to bed early - serve in the armed forces - old content for rare/funny-looking items - attend night classes - use alts to join other guilds to check out their guild banks - hyperinflate auction prices - fight in and around Orgrimmar - play other games besides WoW - work in uninteresting IT-related jobs - level up alts - save Gamon with well-timed rooftop taunts - wear strange costumes - juggle - non-rated battlegrounds - ride chickens - Raziya - stay up late - scream like scared schoolgirls in Skype - win Tol Barad - ride the Deeprun Tram - rage about Alliance people who kill semi-rare hunter pets, because seriously, wtf is wrong with you? - amass an incredible collect of non-combat pets - heroic dungeons For the immediate future now that 5.0 has dropped we plan to get some raids going to test out the new talents and abilities before the mad leveling rush begins in a few weeks. If this sounds like your cup of tea (or whichever beverage you prefer), check out our website with the broken roster (http://cov.tripleozero.com) and/or talk to one of our friendly officers. Namely Rharg, Sheraton, or Raziya. If no friendly officers are available, you can talk to Rekthar or Darmoch instead. You should avoid Bakine, because he has standards and never logs in anyway. What we really need (more than anything else) is a healer, could use a tank too but the healer is more critical. If you want to be the only raiding healing priest too, you could be! We also don't have any DKs for raiding. Or rouges. Alysrazor is fun with our weird interrupt set up :P

Though the thread appears to be a bit more "streamlined" since the last time I checked it, I wanted to point out that recruitment has actually been going strong for some strange reason.
We have picked up several new healers, a tank, and a few dps. With all the new interest, we should have enough people to form up a second raid group. One thing we don't have at the moment is somebody that wants to LEAD a second raid group. If you're that person and know what you're doing (or can fake your way through it well enough to make people think you know what you're doing), this may be the right guild for you. |

I can lead it on my DK assuming it doesn't fall at the same time as our main run.

By lead a second raid group, we mean actually lead it, and be patient with people who might still be newer to fights. I'd bring Raziya to an alt FL group. :)

Oh hey now! I do actually have a fair amount of patience with people and do want to help them learn (though sometimes I do sound harsh/condescending in tone, I do mean well most of the time.)
But I am also ready and willing to replace someone if they are not getting it after a number of tries and failing (this number will be determined by a blind roll of my MtG life dice!) Oh the exception to this is Icyclone, Dede can tell you why if she remembers.... |

Haha I wasn't knocking you ;P I meant more for someone who might be new to the guild, I know you would be a perfectly capable raid leader.
I gave up raid leading after I stopped have a set schedule :( |

If you are interested in checking us out, we've gotten enough recruits lately to try for 25 man content, which we are going to try out Wednesday night at 9PM server! If you're interested in the guild and want to see what we're all about, even if you're not sure about joining, I'd encourage you to come with us (if we have spots left, which I am sure we will!) =) |
