■What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
PvE

■If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
Raids, heroic raids.

■If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
N/A

■What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
I think taking Seals off the Global Cooldown would make Seal swapping, which is becoming more of a necessity with the Seals of Command changes, A LOT less awkward.

■What makes playing your class more fun?
I like Holy Power, i like the idea of building up a resource and spending it. I like having a lot of CDs, and the variety between them.

■What makes playing your class less fun?
Although I like Holy Power, i feel it needs a few more additions to realize its true potential. Right now it feels like it builds too slow for some specs, and offers little choices to spend it on.

Ret: Reliess too much on proper CD usage and RNG. The sole reason why I don't do as much damage as I do in previous attempts is because Divine Purpose didn't proc as much. And that is NOT fun.

Prot: With the threat and WoG changes, it has gotten really monotonous. I feel like nothing I am doing matters anymore. Threat used to matter, and that was fun. I used to be able to activaly heal myself, and that was kinda fun. Now the only reason why i even use Holy Power is so that the gap in damage between me and the DPS isn't as high as it usally is.

■How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

Ret: It's clunky. REALLY clunky. It's Crusader Strike, two fillers, Crusader Strike, get on your knees and pray for Art of War or Divine Purpose. Downtime is the worst possible thing for a rotation to have, and Ret has the most of any spec i've played. A 3 second Crusader Strike would easily defeat this problem, and it would be a much better answer to the damage crisis than a Censure buff.

Prot: Its monotonous and mechanical. The only buttons that matter are Holy Shield and my cooldowns.

■What’s on your wish list for your class?

Ret: 3 Second Crusader Strike, Holy Power AoE, Seals off GCD.

Prot: Holy Shield tied to Holy Power, Holy Power AoE, New mastery that increases Block Value as well as chance.

■What spells do you use the least?

Outside of the typical useless things like Seal of Justice and Turn Evi...

Consecration. Seriously, so much mana for so little damage? Why?

What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
PVE

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues?
Having to change seals for AoE/single target. No holy power for misses/dodges/parries (mainly for prot). Hand of Salv off the gcd would be nice.

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
Former raider, although may get back into it if i like the raid finder. Currently just playing around with alts and soloing older raid content. Waiting for 4.3

What makes playing your class more fun?
I like the idea of a ret pally being a dps/support class, though it seems we are shifting more towards just dps. I'm currently having most fun as prot, overall the spec is in a good position. My only issue for prot is not having many options to spend holy power.

What makes playing your class less fun?
For ret:
- Having to push holy wrath and consecration for single target damage isn't fun at all. The rotation only seems to feel right with AW and/or zealotry up.
- 5 min cooldown on Guardian. I don't agree with having anything above a 3 min cooldown for dps, it's just too long and if it's too powerful to be any lower I would rather it be nerfed to fit into a more "fun" cooldown. This can also apply for LoH.
- Holy power currently doesn't fit well for this spec. One holy power every 4-4.5 second makes gameplay feel very slow
- Massive dps shifting depending on how lucky or unlucky we are with procs. The chances for procs is too low.
- I rarely need to use my support abilities anymore, which is a shame. I hate when I use hand of freedom to remove a slow in PVE, but won't remove it, which seems to be the majority of the time in Cata content.

How do you feel about your “rotation”?
Slow, clunky and just plain not fun. Holy power is most likely here to stay, but for ret, it still needs much work.

What’s on your wish list for your class?
Just some ideas, but overall i just want to have more consistent dps while having a less clunky rotation and making our support abilities more useful.

1. Less proc reliance or higher proc chances. Frost DKs are a good example of a proc spec done right.
2. Less dependent on our cooldowns, Avenging wrath on a 1 min cooldown but increases damage by 10% (not necessarily these numbers) for example, would be more fun. This would go well with changes to the normal rotation.
3. Nerfing/changing Guardian so it fits on a 3min cooldown and LoH to fit on a 5 min cooldown.
4. Lower base cooldown on CS, or another ability granting holy power (i think judgement would be nice)
5. I do like what Ghostcrawler said about spreading the damage more evenly among abilities, so i hope that happens.
6. More options to spend holy power, support abilities could be fun. Here are some ideas:
- A holy power ability that deals direct aoe holy damage
- A holy power ability that applies a DoT that we have to maintain for max damage.
- A holy power ability that buffs your parties(or a select players) damage/healing/damage reduction by a certain % for a certain amount of time. It could be on a 2-3 min cooldown. The buff could be based on spec.
- A holy power ability that increases the targets damage taken for a certain amount of time, again with a cooldown.

7. Diablo 2 auras!!! You gave priest chakra a nice aura graphic, what about us pallies!

What spells do you use the least?
Seal of Justice, Turn Evil and to some extent our support abilities such as HoF, HoP, HoSalv. The abilities themselves are useful, but the opportunity to use them continues to diminish.

What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
- Both (RET Spec). Mostly pve this xpac as pvp has become less enjoyable for me than wotlk

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
- Raid, 25man

If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
- BGs, very little arena, none for months

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
- Being a spec that is so highly proc dependant, hate that. Hopo generates at too slow of a pace, not enjoyable. Having to use Inquistion, hate this ability b/c it’s not fun in anyway for me. Using HolyWrath, not fun at all. Losing Divine Storm as part of main rotation, was an epic ability and so much fun to see it go off.

What makes playing your class more fun?
Loved Ret in Wotlk compared to Cata Ret. In Wotlk it always seemed like I had a fun button to push, in PVE and PVP, in Cata it just seems boring and unfun. Too many slow periods, too many buttons that are boring and not fun to push at all (ie. Inquisition)

What makes playing your class less fun?
Ret is too proc dependant. Ret has too many buttons to push that are not fun (Inquisition, Holy Wrath, pitiful Judgement). Holy Power generation feels too slow. Ret is too reliant on stacking its cooldowns than feels like crap until those cooldowns are back up. Losing Divine Storm from Wotlk as part of main rotation. Losing the Sacred Shield version and AoW heal procs from Wotlk, these were really fun.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
The Ret rotation is boring and not fun at all compared to Wotlk version of Ret (esp w/ the 2 pc divine storm bonus). I’m not having anywhere as much fun w/ my rotation as I did in Wrath vs Cata, it’s so boring having to keep Inquisition up and its boring having to wait to generate Holy Power, its not fun to hit the Holy Wrath button either. Ret in Wrath felt action paced and fun (and powerful in comparison), Ret in Cata just feels like a chore to play in both PVE raiding and PVP. Very Clunky.

What’s on your wish list for your class?
Inquisition gone. Holy Power scrapped. Divine Storm back in the regular rotation. Get Ret to be less proc dependant. Get rid of Holy Wrath in main rotation or change it to be a fun button. Make Judgement something fun to press like it was in wrath (a nice nuke). Bring back the sacred shield of Wotlk and aow procs like in wotlk for pvp. Add a snare for pvp. Make Avenging Wrath immune to dispel. Make Ret less dependant on having to stack cooldowns to do good damage and than having mediocre damage outside of cooldowns. Get rid of Seal of Justice and bake its affect into something else.

What spells do you use the least?
Seal of Justice. Consecration.

  • What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]

  • Both.
  • If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]

  • Raids

  • If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]

  • Arenas

  • What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

  • Protection can't be hit /expertise capped without sacrificing survivability, which constantly affects the rotation. Streaks of missed attacks can cause others to pull off of you, especially in two-tank encounters (I'm looking at you, Ragnaros!)
Mana is a constant issue in ret, especially during burst and any time using Consecration and (to a lesser extent) Holy Wrath.

  • What makes playing your class more fun?

  • I love my utility spells. Holy Radiance, Rebuke (interrupts for a tank- love it.), Hand of Protection, etc.

  • What makes playing your class less fun?

  • Retribution in PvP does feel easy to be kited and more susceptible to dispels on my cooldowns than I'd like.
Protection doesn't really need more threat, and our 3 HP WoGs don't make that much of a difference. I'd like to have something meaningful to do with my Holy Power.

  • How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

  • Protection- Given that our rotation is almost always CS (filler) CS (filler) CS SotR- I'd like more to do. 4/6 of our rotational abilities are set. Though proc'd AS was a great move- I'd like more to do, such as another HP generator on a longer CD even if we have to give up the 3 second CD on CS.
Retribution- The two fillers between CS don't have anything to be filled with half the time. I find myself constantly thinking I'm missing some ability because I have only one spell to hit between CS, if that.

  • What’s on your wish list for your class?

  • Guardian of Ancient Kings is awesome- but I'd love to -become- the guardian instead of summoning it, ya know?
I loved consecration- it just felt so Paladin to be standing on holy ground no matter where I went. Now it's highly situational- and even when beneficial, it makes both prot and ret paladins go oom (without protection speccing into it, and there's a lot more beneficial talents I'd rather take).

  • What spells do you use the least?

  • Righteous Defense- highly situational and potentially hazardous. Too big of a downside to warrant it's use.
Seal of Justice- using a GCD to swap to Seal of Justice in PvP just to limit their speed to 100%, then have to spend another GCD swapping back is terrible. I'd much prefer to have an ability off the GCD that has the same effect for a short duration and a long-ish CD, even if it consumes HP.
Turn Evil- Only usable rarely in PvP, and any mobs in PvE which I'd use it against are immune.

What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
    PVE

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
I do heroics for point gear, and try to get into PUG raids or trash runs as much as possible

If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
    N/A

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
Maybe it'd be nice to have a special window for Holy Power spells? Not sure, I'm generally happy with the QoL stuff

What makes playing your class more fun?
I love whacking things with a mace as a tank while having more utility and versatility than warriors or DKs. Holy power is a great thing that keeps pallies special.

What makes playing your class less fun?
back in vanilla I felt like pallies were more tied to the notion of 'the light' and holy energy. It feels like some of that has faded away as a result of the nature of some of the spell and role changes that have taken place over the past few expansions

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
    good

What’s on your wish list for your class?
moves that make me feel like the ashbringer

What spells do you use the least?
turn undead :( and a lot of the seals and hands (don't really get to use all the support stuff as a tank running heroics)

I should note that I primarily play Retribution, and though I have raided as both Holy and Protection this expansion this response is from a ret point of view.

What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
PvE primarily, with a small side of PvP

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
Raiding normal modes primarily. We lack the focus needed to tackle heroic mode raiding.

If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
What little PvP I do is in BGs

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
Having seals expire is only somewhat annoying, I feel they should be permanent until canceled or replaced with a different one.

What makes playing your class more fun?
The concepts behind each ability from a lore perspective. The fact that retribution has no cast time spells also greatly helps, personally I enjoy cooldown instant based classes/specs much more so than cast time specs.

What makes playing your class less fun?
Trying to pvp ranged classes with only a short speed boost rather than a snare/slow ability.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
I would say overall I enjoy the holy power system much more than what we had throughout Wrath, which again was a huge step up from BC. The major problem I have is the requirement of AoE abilities in Single target situations for retribution. This would be an ideal place for a level 85-90 ability, that would replace holy wrath and consecration. I think inquisition was not that well implemented, and would perhaps benefit from a slightly longer duration (like and addition 3-6 seconds per charge)

What’s on your wish list for your class?
Single target ability or strike per the above response.

What spells do you use the least?
Seal of Insight/Justice and Righteous Defense. The others are quite useful (though situational). If I can get away with using Consecration and Holy Wrath less in a single target encounter then that would be amazing.

    • What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
      PVE.

    • If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
Normal raids. My main is prot, but I've elected to switch to ret for single-tank fights. Since I used to be main ret/off holy, I'm more comfortable switching. I switched to prot after Cata hit, as I felt ret at the time was not raid-viable.

    • What are your biggest quality-of-life issues?
Prot is perfect. I have no concerns.
Ret is a different story, however. I used to love it. Now, quite frankly, I hate it. I don't mind the "casino" of abilities, and I'm pretty fine with feast-or-famine. It's the fact that, at the end of the day, my baseline is extremely low. To be honest, the only reason I get to dps in FL raids is because I'm needed for two-tank fights. And if I knew then what I know now, I would have made my DK my main when cata hit. While blood tanking is not nearly as fun or varied as prot tanking, at least my off-dps set would be more raid-worthy.

    • What makes playing your class more fun?
Like I said before, I actually kind of like the dps casino. It's fun, and it keeps me engaged. I'm glad I don't have that in prot, however. Having 8-second interrupts is something I am extremely thankful for. Also, having Holy Radiance, especially during Majordomo.

    • What makes playing your class less fun?
Only being useful for buffs and interrupts in ret.

    • How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
I'm fine with the mechanics. I am disappointed that we have to do more work for less output than, say, an arcane mage.

    • What’s on your wish list for your class?
More ways to generate quicker holy power in ret, and a bigger bang when we use it.

    • What spells do you use the least?
Consecrate is up there. Turn Undead is never used. Holy Wrath, however, is a big one for me. I use it to AOE stun abom's in the Rag fight.

    # What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
    Both, mostly PvE though.

    # If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
    Raids.

    # If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
All of the above, mostly BGs though.

    # What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
Holy Paladins being too situation and positionally based in raids in order to be competitive in AoE heal intensive encounters. Holy Power in general makes the Paladin class far too much like a Rogue, which I do not want to play. I want to play a Paladin and not have to rely on building combo points like a Rogue, especially as a healer.

    # What makes playing your class more fun?
Having some of the best raid utilities in the game.

    # What makes playing your class less fun?
Having to be held back by the class mechanic that is Holy Power. I do not enjoy healing with it. Having almost every one of my cooldowns being spell stolen/purged in a PvP encounter. I cannot even use Avenging Wrath without having to cancel it immediately after for fear of a Mage spell stealing it.

    # How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
Retribution is far too RNG dependent and the rotation has many gaps in it, making the fun of being able to press buttons simply disappear. DPS players enjoy pushing buttons and doing damage and Retribution has too many gaps where you aren't pushing buttons. Holy Wrath feels stupid having it in a standard rotation. Why would you remove Divine Storm because it's an AoE attack in a single target rotation then replace it with another AoE attack?

Protection's rotation is nearly perfect except the fact that we may not have enough mitigation talents that work off Holy Power.

As for Holy, having to maintain two resources makes the class very annoying at times. For instance, on the Majordomo encounter, there are times when Light of Dawn would be the best spell to use, yet I do not have three holy power, making it useless. While a Restoration Druid may simply press Wild Growth at any time and gain greater results, with no build up time.

    # What’s on your wish list for your class?
A better Retribution rotation. Holy Power being either improved or removed from Paladin's rotations. I honestly do not see any way Holy Power can be improved and if it cannot be improved, it should be removed. Retribution feels far too much like a Rogue and I do not enjoy playing it. Retribution Aura being useful in some way. Less RNG in PvP encounters as a Retribution Paladins.

    # What spells do you use the least?
Consecrations, Divine Storm (on 90% of raid encounters), Seal of Justice, Retribution Aura (it's terrible).

    Retribution

  • What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
  • Both

  • If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
  • Heroics, Raids, Solo

  • If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
  • Arenas, BGs

  • What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could
be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
  • Ret's build up can take 10-45
seconds, or even longer - Especially if you want to buff your damage.

  • What makes playing your class more fun?
  • I really do enjoy ret in PVE. I love the high numbers when I can pull them off in pvp too...albeit rarely.

  • What makes playing your class less fun?
  • I hate holy power. I hate holy wrath in our single target rotation. I despise going oom in PVE fights. I don't like needing to use AoE abilities on single target, and CS-filler-filler is really terrible IMO. The amount of haste needed to reach this is WAY too high for anyone to possibly reach, to the point where it makes haste an unwanted stat.

  • How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
  • For PVE - I don't mind it. I don't like needing holy wrath and Concecration to maximize my DPS.

  • What’s on your wish list for your class?
  • Dodging/Parrying/Missing CS to give Holy Power again. Ret vs Rogue, feral, hunter, or dk is an auto lose atm, due to our severely stifled Holy Power gain. I wish Zealotry could be used with 0 holy power, It's an ondemand burst...why can't I use it on demand? An AoE that costs Holy power would be nice.

  • What spells do you use the least?
  • [/ul] The least..? In pvp I use every spell in my repitoire, and I really like that. Of my 9 85s, This is the only class where I cannot think of a single useless spell to ANY spec. My least used spell would have to be Consecration for PVP, and Turn Evil for PVE. Not a lot of undead or demon to CC in pve, and I only use consecration to fish out rogues/ferals.

What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
    -Holy - Both

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]

    -Holy - Raids, some heroics

If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
-BGs primarily, Rated BGs at times.

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
-The 50% healing reduction for using our Divine Plea
-As holy, i can reuse my gear for a ret set or some sort of DPS set for dailies. So i end up with a holy pve set, a holy pvp set, a ret pve set and a ret pvp set. Other healer classes have an offspec that can dps and they can use most of their normal gear.
    -Our AOE healing is horrible.
    - in our talent trees i would like to not have to have a second spec just for PVP. i already need my second spec as ret so i can do dailies.

What makes playing your class more fun?
    - Special utility like salvation. The change to threat may end up getting rid of that though =(

What makes playing your class less fun?
    -Our lack of AoE healing
    - The healing reduction for using our mana regen abilitya

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
    - I think we could use a better AoE healing spell.
    - Judging seems odd for a healer. Back when it did something like return mana to the raid or healing the raid it felt alright. Now i just do it on CD to give myself mana. Not too fun.

What’s on your wish list for your class?
    - More utility in 10 man. The lack of strong AoE heals makes us less than desirable in certain fights.
    - With the change to threat it kind of gets rid of the need for salvation unless there's a crazy crit or two (RNG) at the start of a fight.

What spells do you use the least?
    - because i heal 10 man, i don't use light of dawn very often i wish i did. End up using word of glory most of the time.
    - Hand of Sacrifice i don't use often. I wish it were more of a "save" type ability.

    • What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]

    • I focus on PvP with assistance for my guild in PvE as needed.

    • If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]

    • Heroics of course, raids as needed for the guild.

    • If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]

    • I arena for arena cap and maintain a 2200 3v3 team for t2 gear. I don't take arenas seriously because of problems with my class. I lead rated bg's and really enjoy those, best utility of my class.

    • What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

    • Not having any utility in arena outside of damage.
Our 2 cc's are dispellable, our burst is dispellable, we are kiteable because we are the only class without a pvp approved slow. Our freedom is dispellable (see UH DK's).
Seal of justice is very situationally useful. (see below)

    • What makes playing your class more fun?

    • Maximizing the damage I can do on target outside of wings (cc/dispel magnet) by increasing the damage of my other abilities. Using effects against dispellers that makes them dispel me instead of watch positioning/health allowing me 3 globals to make huge pressure.

    • What makes playing your class less fun?

    • Every class can kite us to death. Every class.
Mostly in pvp when a healer runs in a straight line (laughing at me) knowing the netlag doesn't let me touch them in melee range. IF I touch them they turn and netlag gets us again.
The problem here is my seal of justice provides a huge dps nerf. Is dispellable, and the talent for an extra second of duration is not worth it.

    • How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

    • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
RNG in it's current form does NOT work. A percentage chance change won't fix it. It's broken in it's method. Chance to proc 3hp grants either 5k dps or 1k dps. Huge burst or none. Uncontrollable. Rogues and feral Druids don't get chance for free 5 combo point ability that doesn't eat combo points for a valid reason. If it proceed a lot, it'd be overpowered. If they were balanced around it and it didn't proc, they'd be underpowered.
Let me use consecration again. Let holy wrath do damage.

Ghostcrawler recently said (paraphrasing) that sitting around for 1 or 2 globals is okay, anything more is boring.
      0.0 CS
      1.5 judge
      3.0 holy wrath
      4.5 CS
      6.0 nothing
      7.5 nothing
      9.0 CS
This wait happens so often, it's very sad. I want fillers, or a 3.0 CS

    • What’s on your wish list for your class?

    • a pvp slow but realistically I would settle for judgement of justice again. (nondispellable effect again)

    • What spells do you use the least?

    • Seal of Justice. I only use it in these two situations.
1: my target won't dismount AND I am not being slowed.
2: my target is a Druid/shaman AND I am not being slowed AND they use travel/ghost to range me for a free cast.

Only being able to use one heal in arena (Flash of Light)

■How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
Holy Pallies dont really have a pvp rotation except spam FoL

■What’s on your wish list for your class?
a 31 point ability for pvp, Light of Dawn is USELESS

■What spells do you use the least?
Hand of Salv, all seals except Insight, Divine Light, Consecration, Inquisition

What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]
    - PvE as Prot

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]
    - Raids and heroics

If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]
    - N/a

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.
    - Holy power mechanic made the rotation feel more "active"

What makes playing your class more fun?
-Being considered one of the best tank classes. Self heals

What makes playing your class less fun?
-As a tank, the gearing. The vast choices of stats that makes you almost feel hindered for favoring one over another or even trying to balance them.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
-The rotation feels a bit clunky. Many times I'll find myself just standing there while waiting on CDs because I missed CS and don't have any holy power. Holy power has a nice feel but generating it feels like a chore. Also, I do not like that Censure is added by doing any holy attack to a target. Sometimes I need to pick up a mob before it is CC'd and just using Judgement to get its attention makes it break CC which get frustrating and also made me the unfavorable puller in raids. Lastly, Holy wrath just feels like it is missing something...

What’s on your wish list for your class?
-Making Inquisition more favorable for prot. Fitting it into the rotation is essential but its short uptime makes its difficult to micromanage when trying to move the boss or avoid mechanics.

What spells do you use the least?
-I feel like most pally abilities are used. Each seal has its use for a spec so I don't really think there is a "pointless" or "useless" spell. I do miss using Consecrate more but it still has its uses, aside from that I guess everything is used when needed

■What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]

I mostly do PVE on this toon. I occasionally run a non-rated battle-ground.

■If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]

Some Raids. Some Heroics. Lots of questing, solo'ing older heroics and raids (Kara), and running old raids with friends (Mag, Gruul, Hyjal, BT)

■If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]

    Non-Rated Battlegrounds

■What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

The holy power system is terrible. I'm forced to start out with terrible damage, then hope I get a lucky proc with TV or CS when I hit 3 hp and have Inq. up. The whole spec seems to be based off of RNG.

■What makes playing your class more fun?

Less reliance on procs for damage. Less ramp up time.

■What makes playing your class less fun?

Sub par damage, based around a terrible combat system, and poor rotation which relies on AOE abilities even on single targets. Ramp up time!

■How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

The rotation is terrible because you are stuck with reliance on AOE abilities such as Holy Wrath and Concecrate even in single target combat.

■What’s on your wish list for your class?

    (1) Please get rid of the holy power system
    (2) Please introduce more single target spells or abilites so that we can stup using AOE spells in single target combat.
    (3) Please remove the RNG from Ret! Hoping to get lucky on procs as a mainstay of your combat system is not fun! Big procs should be more spaced out, and a fun "bonus" to your main damage, as opposed to being the "bread and butter" of your damage.
    (4) Please quit nerfing RET because of PVP. It is not the paladin player's fault if the person he is fighting with does not gem / gear properly. Allows the paladin to stay in close combat with him (as in doesn't kite despite paladins being the easiest class to kite in the game).
    (5) Please bring back Seal of Blood / Martyr. That was the best seal in the RET's toolbox.

A new mechanic(holy power)and the addition of mastery! Theoretically, supposed to improve our dps. Practically, not so much.....

What makes playing your class more fun?
The class was very fun in wrath. I loved the rotation as well as the damage output that ret had. The number of abilities we had in wrath were almost equal to the number of abilities of other classes. I occasionally ran into trouble in world pvp but then again I was focused on pve at the time. So I understand my losses there. The class design for ret in wrath was fantastic!

What makes playing your class less fun?
Retribution talent tree is a skeleton of what it used to be in wrath. I loved the abilities we had in wrath. While leveling my pally I was really looking forward to the last talent divine storm. I was very happy when I got it! A new flashy ability that I could use in addition to my other abilities in my rotation. Every single talent was meaningful in wrath. Stoicism enabled wings to not be spellstolen right off the bat. When Cataclysm was announced, Blizzard stated they were moving away from passive bonus talents and providing more interactive talents. The Ret tree begs to differ. Almost all the talents are passive boosts that very few improve the dps of a dps class or make the class fun to play. I loved how the selfless healer talent looked on paper. In action it is very very mediocre. Hardly a dps boost. Warriors and mages get a dps boost for interrupts, why do we get a dps loss if we throw a heal?

Our pvp survivability is very low. Our wings are always dispelled. In addition we are too reliant on them to actually defeat opponents. A lot of classes have aoe disables. Ring of frost, fear to name a few. Retribution has no aoe disable and I would be fine with that if our single target damage/disable was sufficient to compensate. It isn't.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)
I feel the rotation is great if we had a talent to lower cs cd considerably. The current sanctity of battle talent is very lackluster. We are forced to using fillers like holy wrath, consecrate and a lackluster judgement in our rotation for dps.

What’s on your wish list for your class?
Improved haste and crit scaling as well as dispel protection. New abilities to replace holy wrath, consecration, turn undead and seal of justice. Crusader strike and divine storm sharing seperate cds. In addition, I would love if we had an extra ret talent tree in the next expansion that made the class feel new and fresh. This would definately remove the stigma people have of retribution being either a underpowered class or op class.

Also, after playing ret in wrath and cataclysm, I would like to see the class have new skills added to it so that I don't feel the game is repetitive while at the same time not make me feel like I have to break my back to keep up with other classes in terms of dps as well as pvp.

What spells do you use the least?
#1 Turn undead, consecration, seal of justice, holy wrath

Lastly I would like to say retribution in Cataclysm was a huge disappointment for me. I was frustrated in pvp and after firelands came out, in pve as well.

  • What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]

  • Both

  • If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]

  • Raids, can't step foot in another ZA/ZG

  • If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]

  • BGs, Rated & Normal

  • What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

  • My biggest quality of life issue is the gear dependance. Pure's only have to collect one set of gear and they can use any of their three trees. Those of us who are hybrids (all hybrids, not just paladins) have to wait and wait and wait until we can piece together a set of offspec gear. I firmly believe that for tier pieces the hybrids should get all 3 with one token. Or make it so the gear can change like old Benediction. I have a full set of 378+ tank gear but my dps set still has some 353's in it and my healing set....yeah...

  • What makes playing your class more fun?

  • The survivability of the prot tree is great.

  • What makes playing your class less fun?

  • Everything else... Too many cooldowns. Too many procs. Too kiteable. 20sec WoG CD.
The fact that my CS does not generate HP on a miss/dodge/parry.

What type of content do you focus on? [PvE/PvP/Both]

    I primarily Focus on PvE

If PvE, what type of PvE? [Heroics/Raids/Other]

    Raids

If PvP, what type of PvP? [Arenas, BGs, Rated BGs]

    When I pvp its arena.

What are your biggest quality-of-life issues? For instance, no longer requiring ammo could be considered a quality-of-life improvement for hunters.

I would say in pvp the removal of dispel protection and having hand of sacrifice on such a long cooldown compared to what it used to be makes me an easy cc target.

What makes playing your class more fun?

I would say removing the CD on word of glory for ret would make it fun again. I liked having the extra utility to offset my random damage.

What makes playing your class less fun?

-Removing judgement of light/wisdom/justice while keeping a very powerful raid heal for shadowpriest (vampiric embrace)

-Being easily kited in pvp, then spending all of my gcds cleansing myself and going oom while that happens.

-Relying on random procs and a slow building resource to even do damage.

How do you feel about your “rotation”? (Rotation is the accepted order in which abilities are used to maximum efficiency.)

I feel our rotation is horribly flawed, first off we have holy wrath in our -single target- rotation, an aoe ability that hits for next to nothing and costs quite a bit of mana.

Second we have holy power, while this seemed like a neat idea on paper, in practice it isn't very fun when there is virtually only one way to generate it as ret. Or you can't generate it fast enough, making it hard to compete.

Third we have the talent divine purpose which pretty much defines how much dps we are going to do on a given fight, it makes us rely entirely on a random proc that has a low proc chance off of most of our abilities. (most of which have long cooldowns)

What’s on your wish list for your class?

    - I'd like to either see a talent in place that automatically lowers the cooldown on crusader strike instead of relying on haste to do that. Alternatively crusader strike could just be lowered to baseline 3 sec cooldown as that would fix most problems.

    - Holy power needs a bit of love, especially in how we generate it.

-Make our damage more consistant, remove the divine purpose talent and give us back the extra chance on our abilities to generate a charge of holy power.

-Remove holy wrath from the single target rotation and give us something that is not an aoe ability.

-Make paladins in general less susceptible to long chains of crowd control in pvp, some added survivability without our 5minute instant dispellable bubble would be nice too.

What spells do you use the least?

Consecrate because it costs way too much mana and is only worth it on an aoe fight where the adds are kept in place, otherwise mobs or the boss gets dragged out of it making it a loss in dps to have wasted the gcd on using it in the first place and doubly so the mana spent.

What makes playing your class more fun? Smashing things that don't move.

What makes playing your class less fun? Not being able to smash things...being kited...forever. No 'fun' abilities like charge, leap, deathgrip. I hate the new seals. Too many useless ones. No snare...justice DOES NOT count. Long arm of the law is nice.but not the same.
