70 Worgen Death Knight
Is anyone from California ( or any state for that matter) experiencing a terrible connection? I show 90/120 ms (25mb isp speed and this is the only "pacific time zone" server i have that high of ms with) and get 5 second lockups constantly.
Ive played other pacific servers and get 10-15ms with both home and world. Where the heck is this server hiding to give such high latency?
As far as I know, it was in Boston when I started playing in TBC, and was there until Cataclysm came out. They moved a lot of servers around for Cataclysm, and ours went to New York.
Time zone doesn't have anything to do with where the server is located though. Every battlegroup has a variety of time zones on it, despite all of the servers on the battlegroup being in the same physical location. I assume they do that to spread out peak times for either server load or bandwidth reasons.
