Anyone bidding on Ravencrest?

It's been a while since i've played on this server, but I began my journey here on Ravencrest 4 and a half years ago and was here for almost 3 years. Most of the characters that I still play today were made here as well. Lots of nostalgia in this piece for me, good memories (and some bad ones too!) as well as an awesome and unique collectors item.
So, anyone else taking a shot at Ravencrest? P.S. Please don't bid on mine :3 |

How expensive are they? I'd be interested but I am sure they are out of my price range, especially because I am moving :(

There are 4 total, they start at $100 each. The ones for my current server Stormrage got up to $400 before they ended today. I missed out on those though, waited til the last second to set up paypal and my account didn't update in time. :(
Edit: Stormrage is also much more populated than Ravencrest. I saw many of the smaller servers stay in the $100 range. |

Blizzard has prettied up their retired server hardware and is auctioning them off as neat collector's items for charity.

It's been a while since i've played on this server That's attractive to know, I always pictured the person buying Ravencrest being the type to do something like this...."Walks casually to the mailbox" "Picks up nice looking brown package" Could this be....yes....YEEEEESSSSSSS!!!! "Does some odd random dance movement" Neighbor walking dog stares". "Runs to backyard" For sooooo long Ive dreamed of this moment...To be able to destroy the evil that once held me here... "Sits down the package" "Runs to garage" /yell IM GOING TO STEAMROLL YOU RIGHT INTO THE GROUND!!! "Driving his "rented" steamroller to the backyard" "Cellphone ringing" "John" What?! "That annoying successful WoW Player" Hey John guess what I just got today in the mail? Yeah that's right I won the Stormrage Auction! "John" !@#$ OFF! THIS IS MY MOMENT!! "Hangs up" "Arrives at backyard"...YOUR FINISHED!........"Some time later" Mntindoo-Ravencrest. "Logs onto forums" Hey guys, anyone notice our realm is still down this afternoon? Lol annnnnnnnyway....I think its very kind of everyone and Blizz to do this for a charity and I hope everyone enjoys their piece of WoW history. It's a very kind thing to do. Best of luck on your piece!-Mnt. |

I asked my husband, who immediately gave me the "you have got to be kidding me, you are never going to have that woman STOP SPENDING MONEY ON STUPID CRAP" face. :P
I need my money for moving honestly, but I do think it would be so awesome to have one of the RC servers! It's important to me and I do love the people I've met here. :) |

I want one too, but I'm not going to spend money on it. Sure, charities are fantastic, but so is eliminating my student loan. :D

Wow, those wound up getting a lot higher than I was expecting. Grats to whoever got one of the other three!

415?! Lord, glad I didn't bid even though I really wanted one.

It will forever remain as a pedestal in his room, reminding you where that $415 went. And in case of some unforeseen situation, it can be used for emergency rations. If it cost $415, it better have some multipurpose functions!

It's ok. When people ask how much we spent on this ridiculous item, we can just say we donated X dollars to St. Jude's and received it in return, hopefully making the other person uncomfortable in the process.

I bid, but lost at the last moment (as these things tend to go.)
So if you saw it selling for about $200 then watched it shoot up to over $300, it was probably me that made you pay more. |
