Info popped up on the TW WoW site, starts the 27th?

October 27, the server maintenance, we will apply for the 4.0 and 4.2 copies of the progress of the team resets the changes, once the current progress of 7 days reset, reset the two into one week. Progress will be reset every week for the first time on Thursday morning 09:00, the second progress will be reset at 09:00 on Sunday. Why would they change it thougH? |

Thanks for the translated post, and I'm guessing to allow people to get geared slightly faster as there will be a raid finder. |

Well, Nerfed normal mode Firelands is something like a two hour raid now, so groups which are unable to do heroics for whatever reason spend 6 days of the week doing nothing. Although the reason in that quote seems to be "Because we want people to gear faster," which seems like they're sticking to their "everybody should experience Heroic Ragnaros" idea. |

korean realms as well.

Time to farm Al'akir.

The new raid lockout changes for Taiwan and Korea adjust the lockout timers for the patch 4.0 and 4.2 raids. The lockout timers for these raids will now reset twice weekly instead of once. These raid lockout changes are being made to allow players to raid more often and get more chances at epic loot drops. Players will be able to down current Cataclysm raid bosses twice a week, accelerating players’ progression.
We are testing these new raid lockout changes in Taiwan and Korea first. Our goal is to expand this change to other regions in the future, but we don’t have anything further to announce at this time with regard to North American implementation. |

It totally goes against what's been said was the reasoning for the combined lockout system... Just my opinion of course. However, testing this in that market isn't going to give very good results per the gaming habbits of that playerbase. (We are talking about the same cut of cloth that Stars is from here....) |

Relayed this information to the guildies on vent, their reaction was along the lines of "You mean we gotta do this two times a week now?"
In regards to progression. A few pieces of gear WILL NOT speed up progression in most cases. Say, it resets Friday night...most guilds who do progression raiding will be working on one boss each raid-night until they down it. While this would be fantastic for casual raiding, without a doubt it hinders guild progression. For the record, I have no qualms with this. I find this idea very practical compared to nerfing raid bosses. I do believe the right gear does make bosses easier through raw healing and damage outputs. Just no staggered raid lockouts please, those sucked. |

Still weird, Zarhym!
Query: Didn't you recently adjust drop rates in Firelands to reduce the amount of Dragonwraths out there? Just trying to make your life hard, ya know. :) |
|
|
I do not see how this would hinder a guild's progressions. You could still just extend the lockout. |

Makes t12 gear liquidation even worse than it already is. Oh well. I guess they have to do something to counteract the decrease in subscriptions.

I think this means 4.3 might be coming sooner, so they want players to get more FL clears in. Also I'll get my staff faster (Damn 10 man collection rates ;P).
It wont apply to Dragon Soul. |
