Nope, in fact in the past blues have posted in "ninja" reporting threads telling folks to take their reports to their respective realm forums. Yes outing a ninja player is totally supported on realm forums and in your realm's chat on the server. However, as i stated already, you musnt break the TOU when doing these reports. Harassment is also looked at and judged by the GMs. Usually just outing someone matter of factly without any ire or maliciousness to that person is totally within the rules, its when you add insults, and repeated spamming, etc, that it usually becomes "harassment". Report, ignore, move on. |

You can sincerely tell someone that they are breaking the TOU and are getting reported and leave it at that and be TOTALLY IN THE CLEAR. But yea, like i already stated, when you cross the line and break the TOU yourself while reporting other players, you yourself stand a good chance of getting reported as well. EDIT: Oh as i recall they do look seriously into players who simply use the "ive reported you" as a form of intimidation to other players. This is typically seen as such due to the fact that telling someone they are being reported when they in fact were not reported is seen as harassment. If that is in fact what OP is talking about, then yes thats also harassment. But as i have posted already, if you think you are being harassed, report that person, ignore that person, and move on. |

I don't think I've ever run into the sort of thing you're talking about. If I'm watching or using the trade channel and stuff gets offensive and abusive I don't say a word to anyone about it, I just report. And it's not that I want to report a guy for swearing over and over and over in trade. I don't have any desire to see his account actioned, I just want him gone... but with our ignore list limited and trade garbage so prolific, reporting players is really the best option. |

The operative word is "can". |

Here's an idea. Dont break the ToU and no one can harrass you with threatening to report you.

Internet bullies ...
What power do they really have? The ability to CAPS LOCK you to death? Seriously? If you're getting upset by what people say in a video game, a chat room, some peer to peer network, or anything that allows people to HIDE behind a computer and spew forth senseless banter, then I suggest you not participate in any of these types of entertainment. In other words, quit taking this crap so personally ... it's no more real than the pixels you're killing to get pixel money. |

Ignore the person harassing.
If they constantly start creating new characters just to harass you, report them to a GM. |
|
You understand that this type of thread is against forum policy. If you don't delete the post I will report you and have it done for you.
In other news; you mentioned in the end that if you are going to report someone just do it. The people that cry REPORTED don't actually report anyone dude. If they did it would auto ignore that player and you wouldn't see them responding to every reply. |

The best part about this thread is that I can say...
I have Trade Chat turned off...everywhere! |
|
Were they just threatening you with a report or did you do something to earn that report? If they had no reason to report you, then report them for harassment. However, if you were doing something worth reporting, then the system is working as intended.

The OP is like:So much win with this. This population is so quick to rip someone's head off. Sheesh. |

By far the easiest resolution of this is /ignore. Really, that's what it's there for.
Idle threats are just that. As long as no rules have actually been violated, a player could get reported every day of the week, twice on Sunday and they'll never even know because the report would be found to be unsubstantiated. We only contact a player if a report has been confirmed as true and it violates a rule. |

And I'm all like: (╯°□°)╯- dude chill out everyone. I'm just explaining what the OP meant. I didn't say I was agreeing or disagreeing. And then you're all like: (╯°Д°)╯︵/(.□ . \) - ʇno ןןıɥɔ ǝpnp And then Orlyia is like: ノ(° -°ノ) - C'mon guys. This is all very silly. Put 'em on ignore and call it a day. The OP is like:So much win with this. This population is so quick to rip someone's head off. Sheesh. See...you get me. /hug |
