What happened to Dragonblight?

Seriously, what happened to Dragonblight? I remember when real guilds like The Ock, Reckoning, Exodus, and Exigence were top contenders for US placement. Now I see the top guild on the server had to resort to a 10man Heroic Ragnaros kill to stay on top?! It's sad to see that a once great server is now trash.

And I don't know that top US placement was ever really in contention. Top couple hundred I guess? But we were never a bleeding-edge server (at least as long as I've been here-from Sunwell on). |
Who are you and why do you care? Exigence was ranked pretty high Pre-TBC. Unfortunately, when you've been raiding as long as some of us have, the schedule of raiding Sunday through Thursday just isn't appealing. With the removal of server first titles and anything special raiding offered (rare mounts and the like), there really isn't any reason to push as hard as you would in previous expansions for that realm-first kill. Though in terms of difficulty, Ragnaros is a huge step-up compared to the rest of the instance (Even after the nerfs). We only pulled him about 8 times in the last two weeks, and we're pretty satisfied with just coasting until Dragon Soul comes out. Short version: No incentive to push for any first kills. |

Ahhh, I was over on Kel-Thuzad pre-BC and we had some high ranked guilds over thereabouts as well. Didn't know Exi was so high, I mean BC and on, we had some top-100ish (US) guilds, or around abouts there (I just remember blue coloring in Wowprogress).
I agree though. If we raided Sun-Thur 4/5 hours a night like we did back in BC, probably could have pushed Heroic Rag by now. But there's no motivation/incentive to do that, and 6/7 is such a joke now that the ramp up to him is just brutal. |

Exigence transferred to Dragonblight shortly after the release of Blackwing Lair, and proceeded to get nearly every server first from Vael to Algalon. but we're just casual scrubs now, so its okay. |

Who are you and why do you care? Exigence was a top ranked guild pre-tbc and during the first few content patches of TBC, easily in the top 50 US. I remember it on whatever that site was.. back when it was a big deal lol |
Exigence & Exodus will always be the bad asses in my eyes. You guys would run the sickest MC & AQ20 pugs back in vanilla helping the server get gear and grow the community. There are top guilds who do it for the progression but I would like to think back in Vanilla Exodus & Exigence played also to make Dblight just an awesome server to be on. /Ye old <Deadly Knights> & <Tribute> member PS: Lab says hi.
