Rather than being nerfed, isn't it just as likely that Ultraxion has a higher damage mitigation to physical ticks than Baleroc had?

Zon'ozz isn't really a good fight to look at. He gets a stacking damage taken debuff when the orbs hit him. 10% per bounce.

Do you honestly believe that, for some inexplicable reason, all bosses and target dummies this tier gaining a resistance to bleeds which has never before been implemented in the game is more likely than a stealth nerf, intentional or otherwise, to Fury's deep wound damage?

Deep Wounds is showing similar damage for Arms as it did in 4.2. It only seems to affect fury so that should put any argument about dummies/bosses resiting bleeds to a higher degree to rest.

Feral QQ would blot out the sun if that were true... No Warriors are bugged or DW was stealth nerffed.
Well a boss isnt really a good test cuz in all we got buffed by raid buffs. Thats why im using a dummy as a test. But on avg, i pull about 2-3k dps less

I've experienced what everyone else here is saying. I'm seeing a significant decrease in deep wounds damage now as Fury.

Its not just TG either.. SMF has a big DW reduction as well.
Who wants to bet this won't be fixed before MoP or just simply ignored.


In other news Mages can now out dps melee in every spec.

The damage from a single crit of Deep Wounds in either hand has correct tick sizes.

However, I am noticing weird things happening and would say that it's BUGGED and not nerfed:

  • It ticks 7 times sometimes, when critting with auto-attacks within 1s of eacthother, and the 2nd crit's input is delayed 2 seconds, dealing damage on the 2nd tick
  • It ticks 8 times sometimes
  • Spell crits such as Avalanche no longer produce DWounds
  • Multiple Whirlwind crits only put DWounds on one target
  • Multiple Herioc Leap crits no longer produce DWounds
  • Off-Hand Raging Blow no longer produces Deep Wounds
  • Main-Hand Raging Blow sometimes doesn't produce Deep Wounds
  • Fiery Attack no longer produces Deep Wounds
  • Intercept no longer produces Deep Wounds
  • Dual-Critting MH+OH Raging Blow either does not produce Deep Wounds, or only provides 5 ticks


I'm probably going to make this list bigger!

Looks a bit like a bug to me. Maybe not the Avalanche proccing it though, that seems more like a fix.

It might be that fix causing it though. Tried to make it so spell crits wouldn't proc DW, ended up breaking a lot of other stuff by mistake.

Yeah, I suppose things like avalanche and fiery attack not proccing DW makes sense. That other stuff is lame, though. Hopefully we can get some fixes out soon.

Screw the fix right now. It would be just nice that a Blue would say, "Hey I see what you guys are saying, and we are looking into fixing this as soon as we figure out what is causing it."

I'm pretty sure that the nerf for offhand damage significantly nerfed bleed damage as well. It's a secondary effect to a straight out damage nerf. They seem to LOVE blanket nerds on warriors. Idc really, I still wreck every other melée dps except Enh shamans. On and btw, the increased attack power to melée buff SUCKS compared to the changes they made to
Casters.

no logs. Going purely off memory here. i'm not a fantastic player, never claimed to be pro.

But overnight, i've seen a DPS decrease of about 2-3 k on Rag fight.

I've upgraded almost all my gear since last time ive been in here. More strength. more hit, more everything

My Main hand attacks are at least the 5% lower. I was hitting executes last week of 50k. i'm now hitting executes of 35-40k (crits).

My deep wounds tick for 2400 max, last week was 3500.

Net result, last week, same fight, 21,000 dps, this week, 17,000.

speaking of mages.
just starting giving my Fire Mage some love again.
20k easily on single target in 370 ilvl.
40+k with a good combustion on trash.
I dun feel like being the worst melee until MoP but I have a feeling this will be the case.
