Great video! I just started to begin 1v1's on my fire mage. Although they really don't matter, I was curious which class do you think counters a fire mage 1v1 and how do you recommend I play verse that class? Appreciate your help :)

Glad you enjoyed! Fire Mages are very good at 1v1 and it's what I'm specialized into oppose to arenas and such because not many people want to play with Fire Mages and rather go with Frost. There are only a couple classes that counter Fire which i'd say are good Hunters and good Spriests whom will dispel your Combust if they get a chance which gives them the advantage. I can't go in-depth on strategies on how to defeat them but one day I will cover a video on all classes, but in the mean time good luck! Sorry I cannot help you at the moment

Awesome video man! I'm in the process of leveling a mage (only 69) but I was floored at what a great fire mage could do. It seems the play style of a fire mage is to be very aggressive and get in ppls' faces. The music was also very well done and fit the video perfectly. I subbed to your youtube channel. Keep the videos coming man, because they are awesome. I rarely get excited about PvP videos nemore but your vids are pretty sweet.

You cast scorch alot ;o i'm suprised that we're in a PvE forum and people aren't telling you about all the damage you're missing out by not bunkering down and casting your hardest hitting spell when you aren't getting hit.

The rogue you dueled was not very good.

Well in PvP situations as Fire, you shouldn't be hard casting Fireball or Pyroblast. Expecially in arena.

So you don't bother with Fireball even when your target is locked down on killing someone else and you're a good 30+ yards away? I use Fireball when I don't need to move. Scorch's damage makes me rage when I'm hitting 4500+ resilience targets.

I meant you shouldn't be hard casting anything other than Scorch most of the time, but if your target is disoriented and you know you have a free cast, by all means go ahead and get off a FB, FFB, or Pyro. If you saw the video you would know instead of having to ask on this thread. Please post on thread after watching the video, or if your not interested, this thread is not for you. This don't pertain to fire pvp (though I did enjoy the video it was very nice :D) but I have noticed a rise in fire mages since 4.3 but I've been fire since the start of cata (I pve fire) arcane Mage in my guild always beats me though :(

Hey you gotta have a hater right? The forums are filled with PvE greasers that have no idea about the more challenging part of the game. Yes, you know how to spread your combustion effectively and you have the occasional db -> ring, but your play isn't far over the mediocre mark.

You're just kind of rolling noobs in bgs. Where is the zomg vurtne/noone playstyle that made me literally ;O in rl?

You cast scorch WAY to much, use blastwave for damage as opposed to kiting (go back and watch some of your clips), and never focus impact. Furthermore, you tend to either not use your MI's or use them incorrectly and you often times blink yourself into retarded spots that leaves you open for anal %@*@#@.

Your definitely not BAD but you don't capitalize on your opponents mistakes (shattering off a ring in the warr/rogue duel (who runs through a ring..)) You're 2k at best sorry =/. Nice video tho it was a good break from this droll environment at work.

Even though I agree with most of what you said, I think he was using the blast waves less for damage and more to fish for an impact proc. Just sayin
