If die by the sword was made to block all damage, piercing howl was a 70% slow, and RB was NOT reliant on enraged you might see fury warriors suceed more in pvp. That or t refine warrior self healing back to 4.0 when I could regen 80% health.

I have tried both and I gotta say, I love fury for both PVE and PVP. Now that I've said that however, you need three things to rip up PVP. First, you need good PVE gear. About 365 average at minimum but the higher the better. Second, you need a few good pieces of PVP gear. Not too much but about 1500-2k resilience. Third, (and the most important one) you need a pocket healer. Never, ever go in alone and expect decent results. You WILL get focus fired down as soon as they notice you.

If you follow these three rules though, you will tear through people like a hot knife through butter. Half the time, they won't even know what hit em.

I usually swap between Fury and Arms. If I get tired of running around with a stick up my !@# while slam spamming I go Fury. If I get tired of running around with a stick up my $%^ while waiting for Recklessness to get off CD I go Arms.

Fury is more fun in PvP if you're in a hack-n-slash mood, while Arms is for a more tight n' serious try hard pants mood.

They are both viable for PvP. Saying that one isn't is just moronic. I can't stress this enough. I've had my fair share of failures with both specs. I've also had my fair share of ownage with both specs, so I guess my point is, Don't knock it till' you try it. (When I say "try it" I mean play at least week in the spec)

nothing wrong with busting out some fury in BG's for fun :3
hell the damage output if done right is insane, plus thanks to skirmisher you can be more mobile then arms

competitivly i wouldnt think it would be as viable but still good for !@#$s and giggles

Pretty much this, fury is super fun in BGs since it requires a tad bit more stance dancing (which I love) but Arms for arena without a doubt.

On a side note I tried TC in BGs and found myself getting rage starved to often, SMF seems to work better... for me at least.

I've been an arms warrior for years and only recently re-leveled this guy to 85 since shelfing him during the 2nd to last season in Wrath. To break the monotony I decided to rock out as fury and I'm loving every single second of it. Admittedly I haven't done any competitive PvP yet, just random BGs and duels but arms just seems so static and boring compared to fury's dynamic play style. I wish arms was the PvE spec and fury was the PvP spec. Fury is even more fun to look at, I mean who doesn't like looking like a boss with two two-handers?

Fury is more fun in PvP if you're in a GET hack-n-slash mood, while Arms is for a more tight n' serious try hard pants mood.

SMF is definitely better for pvp, no question about it. Just grab a pile of hit, and combined with SMF you'll finally have all the rage you could want.

SMF instant slam procs also hit with both weapons, giving you another hard hitting ability that doesn't rely on any enrages.

Fury is FAR better than arms for random BG's. The only time that arms becomes better is when your opponents are on vent/skype, and calling out CC's, peels, heals, etc.. when you need the control of throwdown, and possibly a hamstring snare.

Other than that, Fury has higher burst damage, higher sustained dps, more mobility and better survivability than arms does, which makes it the prime spec for unorganized random pvp.

Arms is barely less mobile than Fury. Also, Arms has a snare and the best melee stun. Arms does not need to time CS with its CDs as CS is almost always available on demand.

Well it depends on what classes you're trying to kill, if you're trying to kill a pally or a shammy it really helps to time CS with a trinket/CD.

I facepalm so hard that I leave hand prints in my forehead when I see fury warriors in any battlegrounds.

I almost feel bad for them. It just isn't viable in anyway shape or form in comparison to arms. It just isn't.

dumbdumbdumb. i play arms like all of you but fury has more burst potential than any other spec in the game. in arena's theyre pretty useless because of purge, tranq shot, etc, but in bg's theyre damage POWERHOUSES, and theyre used in high-rated RBG's just as often as arcane mages or boomkin.

Fury is not too bad. I find a lot of times people underestimate Fury warriors thinking free kills then they get owned hard without them even using some insane Reck + DW combo.

Arms has better control which is one of the aspects you need to be successful in reaching the high ranks.

To me Fury has:

- Better self heals
- Better burst
- Slightly better mobility.

Thing is despite the above I find that the control of Arms pretty much outclasses all that. Improved Hamstring and Throwdown make a huge difference to me.

That being said Fury is fun and I sometimes like going in being the spec that everyone thinks is crap then proceed to beat them. Doesn't always happen of course, but when it does it's pretty much an "in your face" moment. Its like getting beat by a Combat rogue.

I find it funny how irritated everyone gets in battlegrounds when they see i'm fury... even funnier when i start smashing face and get twice as many HKs as anyone besides hunters.
At least at a low skill level, fury is just fun as $%*!.
Beating on RPDS or healers who have no idea how to get away from you with two massive 2 handers? Yes.
I've even started to hunt down DKs more often with no ill effects.
I am, however, interested to see how this scales in Arenas... if it just isn't good enough i'll go back to PVE. Love my huge axes =)

Getting your enrage dispelled is annoying and is the Achilles heel of Fury in PvP, but every spec of every class has its weaknesses. Fury has enough burst, mobility, not to mention the element of surprise, to make the spec enjoyable in bg's, and that is all I care about.

I did bg's as arms for the whole of Lich King and in hindsight never really had that much fun. Now with Fury I enjoy it all the time. So if you're looking to just enjoy randoms and don't PvP competitively (and that covers so many WoW players), then I think Fury will be for you.

Run with it...you'll like it!
