This paragraph...right here...this is beautiful. Still why I do ICC to this day. |

Dear Naysayers/trolls regarding LFR and it's "baddie friendly" or whatever label you give it...
There are 8-9 of us to every 1-2 of you. Stick that in your elitist , pompous, pedestal standing, douchebagging, attention seeking, negative pipes and SMOKE it. That is all. |

Personally, I think LFR is way too dumbed down. It turns fighting Deathwing into a complete and utter joke. This is absolutely the attitude and language that, in this community, needs to go sit in the corner for a while. If you can't stand the thought of there being multiple difficulty tiers of content -- into which we pour a lot of our development efforts -- to make raiding feasible for more than 2% of players, hit Heroic mode, turn on vent, and repeatedly remind your friends how good you are. I have no doubt they care. :) Some people, like Vindicare, get it: I don't feel any sense of accomplishment from killing a boss if it doesn't involve some form of challenge or progression. |

For once, the debate is not about gear at all. It's entirely about content access. While I think the sense of entitlement here is reaching critical mass--it's not just what other people get. I don't want to see the final boss of a patch the first day it's released. I just don't. It disturbs me greatly knowing I can.

Honestly you should stop worrying about the actions of other people, and quit trying to put a label on them because they do not share your same interests. You want to progress on the harder difficulties, that's your business, but we could just as easily say that all you are interested in is shiny pixels as well. Shiny pixels that you work so hard to get just to have it replaced in a few weeks/couple months by something only marginally better. All that time and effort for throwaways. Of course, that is not all you are interested in and there are more benefits to raiding in the upper difficulties, but don't belittle the enjoyment of others (or attempt to tell them why they enjoy it), unless you are ready to find yourself equally under the microscope. |

I did ICC on another toon. absolutely loved it. i have seen vids on "BOOOONESTOOOOOORM!" but experiencing it was on a whole nother level. it was super late but i wanted to see Arthas so bad. Sadly, we all logged off though. I still have not killed the Lich king but god I still want to. Sunwell was epic as well. |

Personally I found Raid Finder too easy but then I realised that it was not made for me ... and I'm cool with that.
I'm actually more happy that the tool is being loved by the people who Blizzard ultimately made it for. Gratz Blizzard ... you really did show all those naysayers. Hopefully in the near future there will be no need to nerf normal or heroics raids ever again, and both casual players and raiders can live in harmony ... |

Also, I love how most of the stuff to watch out for is highly visible. I don't like having to use DMB to tell me that some debuff is about to expire or some stack is getting to high. I want those killed things to be very visible, and I think they've don't a great job of doing that. I've been in the process of slowly getting rid of addons. I'm just tired of updating them and tweaking them. I really stops me from actually playing the game when I'm constantly changing how information is displayed. I am sooooo tired of looking at timer bars. I want to look at the actual game. :)

but in the back of their minds we all its really about getting gear that they would otherwise never get. They will never get 397 T-13. i guess your right, except you forgot when then rolling nerfs come out for DS everyone and their mom will be flying in there to get there free gear. EDIT** not that its hard as it is.. except madness maybe... heroics on the other hand will kick you in the teeth. |
I like you. |
That said... today I have finally killed an expansion's final boss within the life of that expansion. Within his first week of life no less. Something I, an average player... never did in the previous expansions. Congratulations! I'm thrilled for you, and also for me, because I just hit ilvl for LFR and I hope to experience what you have. Your post could have been written by me, but you said it much better. Thanks for this, and again, congratulations! ;-) |

Personally, I think LFR is way too dumbed down. It turns fighting Deathwing into a complete and utter joke. Why can't I "like" this?? I'm glad to hear so many people are having fun. The people keep the game alive. The more fun the playerbase has, the healthier the game is. |

This!!! Oh god this! Please Blizz the one request I have of you is that you don't nerf the normal and heroic raids anymore now that LFR is out. If you can promise me that I'll be more than satisfied. |
I know how you feel, I killed the Lich King almost a month before Cataclysm released...on Remembrance Day which is sorta cool I guess. Felt good to see him though, Im glad I got to kill him before Cata. You'll get it though, no worries. |

The only problem I have with LFR is when two of the same items drop. I saw one person win both so it would be better if two of the same items drop have the second not clickable yet until everyone clicks need/greed. Then the second item opens up to roll with the person who won the first item not being able to roll. Other than that I think LFR is pretty cool as well.
