Sick of /afk emotes
|
To start off, no I didn't fall for one. I know better then that. I feel for those, however, who do fall for it. They pay to play and experience this game just like everyone else. They don't, however, pay to have you ruin that experience for them. I ask of you Blizzard to please implement a feature that will remove you from the battleground regardless of how you type /afk. If you type /afk at all; even in an emote, it should remove you from the battleground. I don't see any other reason for someone to use it, other then to tell someone how to leave the battleground. Karma's a <insert bad word>, Those who choose to be impudent jerks deserve to have a taste of their own medicine. I'd love to see someone type a fake /afk emote and then get removed from the battleground. That would really make my day.

If everyone reports him afk he'll get kicked.

You thought wrong then... If everyone reports him afk he'll get kicked. That's the problem, nobody besides me reported him. |
As I said before, no I did not fall for it. Ive been playing this game since 2008. My friend who got me into it pretty much gave me all the basics and things to expect when in a battleground, including the infamous fake /afk emote. If you don't have anything productive to add to the actual subject then grow up, stop trolling, and leave please. |
Honestly, why be rude? What satisfaction are you getting out of being rude to the OP. He posts a legitimate gripe that people think is funny in trying to trick people. It's sad and pathetic. |

You really are a kid. This is a post regarding a problem in a battleground, not skills in PvP and raids. Posting on one's main has no benefit of the matter. As I said before, grow up, stop trolling, and leave please. If you continue to be a bother I will report you. I'm sure judging my your childish attempts at trolling that you have been reported on multiple occasions. You will receive a forum ban. Learn to follow the rules. Post on your main buddy.Nice contradictory there hypocrite. You're posting on a level 70 twink. I would hardly consider that to be your main. Edit - I strongly encourage anyone who has read this thread to report Prada for countless attempts at trolling my post. The more troll reports, the faster he/she is warned or banned. Thanks for your time. |

I'm not trolling anyone. The world is full of hazing, hell you can even experience it at a new job. As long as it isn't hurting anyone, it's completely fine. Yes, qq they left the bg, but they learned. You learn from your mistakes and move on, it's life. Demeaning me by calling me a child isn't helping your case at all.

You were obviously trolling. Now you're the one who is lying, not me. It doesn't matter if they learned or not. The fact of the matter is that they were victims of other people's immaturity. Blizzard frowns upon the fake /afk emote, and supporting it as you obviously do is stupidity in its purest of form. You're also wrong, it may not be the person who is being harmed, but their time spent in queue and their time spent waiting for their deserter debuff to wear off. As I said before, they pay to play and experience this game just as you do. What right do YOU have to ruin that for them? Besides, the /afk emote I saw was a clear attempt to remove BADS from the BG. How is anyone ever supose to get better at PvP if you don't want them in your battleground? Regardless of that, their is absolutely no point to this trickery at all. That person will learn from their mistake and still queue up for battlegrounds. Half the people I see fall for it are actually really good at PvP despite the fact that they fell for an immature and dirty trick. Even if the person who fell for it was terrible at PvP, they'll still be back again which proves my point that the fake /afk emote is utterly pointless. |

I never said that, and I was never trolling, just simply speaking my opinion. If that makes me liar then so be it, I'm sorry you disagree with it but my opinion stands as is. They lose less then a penny falling for that trick, out of a fifteen dollar monthly fee. So really, if it's about money, they aren't losing much. Now if you want to argue time-wasted, I can understand. But 20 minutes, perhaps? Isn't that much, people shouldn't get bent out of shape over it. If you don't like it, report the person afk and try to get others to do so as well. |

@Nightwarden, If you didn't want my opinion of you falling for it to look even slightly feasible, you shouldn't have gotten defensive with me. It honestly hasn't helped your case at all.
Though much to your pleasure, I'm sure, it is indeed against the ToS as posted above me. |

Its not that big of a deal. I'd rather see them focus on a lot bigger issues than anything related to this.
You will run into...
Your whole life. They will do many things to get to you if they know they can. And only because they know they can. Ignore them in game and as much as possible irl. |

I fell for it once, and it was hilarious.
It was before BC launched, but after the patch that added xrealm BG's and a lot of the new zone changes like Kara. There was a druid with the legendary that ported you to Kara ( And promptly was ported to outside Kara where I was owned by level 70 mobs. People who spam it are annoying, but it's an IQ test. I always retort "that doesn't work anymore, blizz added a confirmation box now". I've had the original spammer fall for that one before! |

They got me once with that emote, I felt quite silly after I realized what had happened, but o well I guess ppl will just get tricked once, and I for sure always report afk any one spamming that macro, I don't think it would need blizzards intervention, it is something we have to deal with, just my personal opinion.
