Kind of a thread necro, but I doubt anyone will know/remember me anyway.

In Vanilla, when this character was named Turan I played here on KM.

Kind of miss the people I hung out with at the time.

I remember playing on KM during Vanilla, I was like 12 then running around begging people for gold all the time as a level 46 hunter on this exact toon. never did make it to level cap before TBC came out but alot of these names I do recall. I was a Tauren back then though. :D!

i played on KM till mid Wrath, i was a pally named Dakin and a druid named Doodad. i have many memories of KM, back when everything in the game felt epic. i Raided with Veritas and Crimson Dominion (after the authority split)(loved CD too). Went back to CD till I left in mid wrath, came back as 4.3 was released and i didnt know anyone on KM, save Madscience, and i Transferred to Shadow Council, i wish i could find some of the old people too

Gone are the old days of Sunder popping people off in org, along with the the kill sharing to get the most honor during the week to rank up to HWL or GM. I do miss those days.

I had a human pally here by the same name as this char back in vanilla and TBC...raided with Phoenix and then Soul in TBC; before that I was in a social guild called Storm Riderz. Took a 3 year hiatus and now am back. There was definitely a robust group of characters on this realm back then. Sad to say I've only seen a small handful that I knew who are still playing on the realm :/

I got my start in WoW and raiding on KM way back in vanilla with Cooler Cats. I was cleaning out an old WoW install and came across some ancient screenshots. Anyone remember these names? I'm sure they are all long gone.

Nice screenshot. I have not seen any of these guys around for a few years now beside the Retribution guys (not that I'm logging a lot).

Wasn't here at the start of the server but did pop up before the gates of AQ opened... co-founded Cowpocalypse with Zuljinnu and Baybee. I used to be a Troll... and also a forum Troll... I miss single realm PvP. I could post a hostile tirade all over this place and then hold agg in WSG while my team ran the flag up and down the field all day... made up for the fact that I'm not any good at PvP....

Man this thread and those old names bring back memories. Sunder transferred (for free) to Khaz Modan when they opened it up because Proudmoore's login queues became too much to handle. Guys would get dropped during BWL raids and take forever to get back on some nights. The problem was that the guild leader Finnien made the announcement the afternoon of that patch going live, which coincided with the Ahn'Qiraj server wide war effort. Most of us had already turned in the mats that we'd been gathering for months before he told us that we would be transferring servers. So we transferred and had to start the war effort from scratch on KM. Sunder and Vision were the only prominent Alliance guilds with one Horde guild whose name I can't remember. Sunder was responsible for a huge majority of mats turned in for the war effort event for both the Alliance and Horde sides and it took quite some time to get the gates open. Consequently KM was statistically behind on server progression throughout late Vanilla.

The night we opened the gates, I decided to take some time away from WoW and devote all my time and attention to chase down an ex girlfriend. I came back seven months later, not long before TBC came out. After the expansion, and an epic multi day sleepless LAN party at Finnien's house, leveling to 70 and getting flying mounts, I was told I'd be a casual member with no chance of getting my raid spot back in the new world of 25 man raids. So I left on good terms and joined Authority. After a personality conflict with Seppyk during a Kharazan run, I quit and joined Soul. During a world spawn raid, I can't remember which, when my underpowered computer was reduced to a sub 1 frame rate, I took a break from WoW until I built a new computer with a new GPU. I joined some friends in Valeo and immediately became the hungriest player on the server eager to prove myself. I was an overachiever with Valeo through Tiers 5 & 6 until a big player exodus crippled that guild right at the end of TBC. When Wrath came out I was a free agent until Cataclysm formed up. I received an accidental invite, which pissed off the guild leader once he found out because the guild was heavy on Hunters. He let me stick around and I proved myself a DPS machine more than worthy of my place in the guild. That lasted up until I began preparing for my move from California to Florida around when the Ulduar patch came out. After I moved and the time difference made raiding impractical for me, that pretty much ended my WoW playing days about midway through the Wrath expansion.

I got married during that move from Cali to Florida. Since then I've had two kids and earned two college degrees. WoW ijust sn't the same and I really miss those fun times in the old days. There were some real characters. I got my guild invite to Sunder the same night as Lightstar. Midoc did the honors on a Wednesday night after a Molten Core raid because Finnien was on vacation in Europe.

Nice thread and a lot of great memories. I transferred a server full of toons the day the server opened. In the first few hours, there were just a couple of us and one level 60 (figured it was a GM) running around. Transferred from Elune --> Hellscream to here. Brightshaft was my first to pop in.

I watched Sunder transfer over, Family Values, Lakeshire Country Club, and several others form. I joined a fun social/leveling guild named Chivalry. Had a lot of great times with folks like Xlair, Camellot, Bany, Owlii, Nemi, and so many more. It was like a family of fun players. We ran with Sunder folks as fill-ins when needed.

For a while I was the toon who saved travelers from the crocolisks outside Wetlands on the Night Elf death-run from Darnassus to the only AH in Iron Forge.

I was there at the opening of AQ and had a blast dying over and over in those first few weeks. Loved the zombie apocalypse event when it was hard to log in and not get bitten immediately.

Joined Guildless Wonders where many Chivalry people moved to join Gatton and Dixiechick. Trinaswell, Erol, Vallentia, Beowulf, Lifepaw and Deathpaw, and so many great players as we moved through BC, WoLK, and Cata. By Panda, Guildless Wonders began to die off as many went to Zul'jin (high pop server) to raid on the horde side or left Wow as the content became more streamlined and generic. A few have come back, but the bulk of the players are still gone. Miss those days.

So many left when Blizz announced KM would become a 'starter server'. I miss all the old folks, Ally & Horde alike. Still hoping many of them come back.

Scoundrels Represent. I only wish I could kill Bru and Lightstar one more time for kicks.
