Careful if you PUG raids with <Beta Tested>
|
Ran 25 man BH with them. Took my Druid on their main run, got nothing. Then they ran an ALTs BH 25 man.
So i go on my DK to help them fill up the numbers, 2 pieces of PVE tier drop for DPS (gloves and legs). Since i was the only DK DPS, i though, HELL YEAH. I win the first set, as i'm the only one who is eligible according to their loot rules. I get them with no issue. The Beta tested DK tank (also ML BTW), then decides to change the looting rules. He saves the DK gloves til last, waits til the raid starts leaving then rolls. A few people call him out on it, as he posted MS > OS, then proceeds to tell me its 1 loot per boss, which he already violated giving the same person 2 pieces of loot not 2 minutes earlier (a fellow guild member i might add). Anyways after a lengthy argument, and only after i tell him its reportable to ninja against the loot rules (ESPECIALLY if you set them yourself) he gives them to me, claiming that there were no rules in place, but "Ima tank so i dont need anyways". For the next hour, I receiving hate tells and garbage from various members of their guild, calling me various hateful names (im sure you can imagine without me going into detail). Honestly, how angry i am right now, id rather nothing dropped, than what happened. My final messages from them was "your on guild-wide ignore" and "blacklisted from any raid". In before all the cool story bro or whatever, just posting this as a reminder to always be careful of PUG's, especially with <beta tested>. ALWAYS get the ML to post the looting rules in any PUG raid, then you can report it if someone ninja's an item and it WILL get taken care of. In the end i got my items, but no one should have to go through abuse like this to get them. |

Posting really isn't going to do anything except make you more of a target; just report the ones who harassed you.

Honestly, if someone reads this and it saves themselves the hassle i went through, mission accomplished.

I'm pretty sure people already know PUGs are shady. You were probably not the only one that got screwed in one today. The only difference between you and the rest of those morons is you felt it necessary to post about it on the forums like it's going to do anyone any bit of good.
Use the in-game mechanics that were put in place to stop threads like this from popping up. |
|
So im a moron, because someone used ingame mechanics to screw me over? Yet your answer is to use ingame mechanics to fix it?
Yeah, that makes me a moron, something i have no control over (other than never grouping). Using the in game mechanics to report these people, first thing GM's say is "did they post the loot rules". My post, was to highlight this. Make sure they post loot rules. If you dont like these threads, dont read them. It was pretty obvious what it was from the title. Even a moron could tell that. |

Pretty sure Curaga is just a troll. That, or he doesn't realize that people have reasons for their actions. How about instead of insulting everyone you come in contact to, you analyze what they've said, and come up with constructive criticism. (But again, probably just a troll.)
TBH, if I saw these people LFM in trade, I most likely wouldn't join their group after reading this post. So, I guess that did a bit of good...?

Broccolich, I think instead of attacking the guild as a whole, you should have named off all the people (especially the tank) who gave you this trouble. Speaking for myself and a few others, we are not like that and I bet if you gave us insight to who it was that person would be /gkicked. :)

I did name names (in game), and got multiple people spamming me with abuse. If you want names here, Alaina (orc DK) was the ML/ninja. As i have come to understand it after talking to a few of your members, Alaina asked in guild chat/voice comms if they should ninja it, and was told to "just do it" by the majority.
Im sure not all of your guild are like that, but the bad apples will drag you down. I run a raid with you guys, and get multiple people cussing me out even though i did nothing wrong, how would you feel?. I had a problem with 1 person, and your guild took it upon themselves to get involved (defending a ninja no less). You tell me what you would think of a guild that does this. Im sorry, but its hard not to place blame at the guild's feet. |
|
I know it's hard, but you also might/could have potentially ruined any raiding opportunities for those of us in the guild who were not on at the time and do not deserve any blame. I don't know Alaina personally and there are about 900 members in the guild so it's not surprising that there are those ninja/!@#$%^-s.
I've actually had an instance like this where I joined a BH with Standing in Durotar and the only thing us pugs could do was report them and wish for the best. |
|
You talk about the people who weren't online that do not deserve blame, did i deserve blame?. I did nothing wrong here. Alaina (and by extension, Beta Tested) wronged me. Im NOT the one whose greed got the better of them. What goes around, comes around i guess. Regardless if you have 8 members or 8000, allowing these people to ninja under your guild name involves the rest of you whether you like it or not.
I will be monitoring Alaina to see if he/she remains in your guild. That way ill know if what you say is true, that not all of you are this way. Im pretty sure that nothing will change. Ive had quite a number of supportive messages on this, and the general picture im getting, is Beta Tested have done this before (and have a reputation for it). If you chose to be in a guild that ninja's items (whatever the minority that do), prepare for backlash on it (or to be branded yourself). If in any way my post here ruins raiding for your guild, then i guess were even. This experience has ruined PUG'ing for me. My intention is not to ruin your experience, but to protect others that Beta Tested might take advantage of. |

We do raids now?
Guess I didn't get the memo. |

Your problem is you acknowledge that members of your guild may be giant ninja looting asshats and you still stay in the guild. You're apparently not that worried about your raiding opportunities if the only thing you're willing to do is post about it on the forums. We do raids now? Actually no, as of this thread you don't do raids now, which I'm assuming was kind of the point of the thread. Which, luckily for you, is the exact memo you seem to have lost in your fat. |
