Melee damage out of control
|
|
Tonight in BG one rogue was hitting me for 12k with simple 'melee swing' and over 25k with Hemorrhage. And I have around 4.5k resil.
Would love to know how blizzard justifies this much of damage, specially in PvP. |

it's cool, let's just give them an extra 10% damage buff. And legendary daggers.

I wanted to armory that rogue..but he has special characters...so cant search. His ID is Outkast. that 'O' is with a crossover. From Gurubashi server. Might have some legendary. But this is insane for blizz to allow that in PvP. Yes, there were 2 more melee on me, but I pretty much got globaled whenever that rogue was there.

Yup..that was him.
By the way Burninater, most of the hunter that come here and say they did big damage, I really would recommend them to armory their 'victim' first. See whats the gear difference and then come and say everything is working fine. I also can pretty much 2 shot someone with !@#$ty gear. Doesnt mean hunter damage is really good. Edit: Also check his auto damage, aka melee swing, did around 12k damage. Our autoshot does that? ever? I understand that much of damage was due to his legendary weapons. I propose that's why legendary weapons shouldnt be allowed in PvP, any kind of. |

rogues ignore 70% of armor
|

your absolutely right.it seems almost every class hits for 20k-28k and that's not good for hunters cause we don't have great self heals or Dodge and Parry sure we have deterrence but we know the cool down on that.lol if you get stunned your pretty much going to be done for..i doubt Blizzard employee's actually play this game.

12k auto attacks? And a 25k hemo?
Either you have -4.5k resil or you're plain lying. And no, no rogue has the legendaries, you wont see those until late Feb-March, so quit QQing about 'em. |

Sad part is even if you deter the rogue can/will just stealth and wait it out then repeat the process. So unless you have help you are pretty much done. Standing in a flare is fail. No pet aggressive. Can't Camo because Pet is still in combat. Trap will be disarmed outside of detect stealth range. Can't run because rogue auto applied a 70% slow while stealth allows 100% movement speed. Can't Disengage because Shadowstep/Sprint will have a word for you. blah blah blah the list goes on and on.I don't mind losing when I'm out played, out geared, out RNGed. Heck that stuff is part of the reason we all play this game. However it gets very frustrating to lose time and time again because my skills and talents are broken, useless or "huntery".Bottom line is hunters are being out DEVed. There is no other reason/excuse that other classes get improvements to skills and talents that are already working while hunters sit here with the same "huntery" garbage. Why in the World of Warcraft do rogues still need a 12sec duration auto applied 70% slow after stealth movement speed is buffed to 100% !? This is the type of stuff that make hunter DEVs look ridiculous in my book. Geez how true that rings. Between the rogues, warriors, dks, and even the other ranged classes, I'm always getting walked over in pvp. I don't have all of the gear I need, but it just gets ridiculous. I can't take anyone out on my own and the only real good I do is throwing down a few traps, which get disarmed by a rogue, and slowing down demolishers in Strand. Every time I use Disengage, I'm either death gripped, charged, or shadowstepped and killed anyway. My gear might not be as good as honor points can get, but I'm being taken out way too easily. |

Tonight in BG one rogue was hitting me for 12k with simple 'melee swing' and over 25k with Hemorrhage. And I have around 4.5k resil. hi there. you are a Hunter. they are melee. they hurt in melee range. you need to keep ur distance so you don't get hurt. Hunter's can keep their distance from melee for decent lenghts of time - so when they get close, they hit really really hard to compensate. in MoP, Hunter's can pew pew in melee range. this will not help because the melee will still hit much harder. so bad Hunter's will still be bad. |
