Heroic Morchok 10man
|
Hello everyone, I apologize for not being able to post this on my main.
I'm a Holy Pally on a 10man guild, we just started heroic modes, and Morchok is stompin us right now. We are tryin to 3 heal the fight, I was solo healing Kohcrom while our other 2 healers were on Morchok. We had a rogue a lock a mage and a druid tank with me on Kohcrom. My problem was that the 2 times we didn't wipe due to god knows what, I wasn't able to heal my group, my problem was that right after the stomp I had to rush to the crystal, what didn't give me time to heal everyone to 100% before the next stomp. I really appreciate any help I get, I can provide logs if needed and get into more detail on our strategy and raid comp. |

Get the rogue/tank to soak? The rogue/tank can move over to the crystal right after the stomp if the tank moves a bit closer to the crystal beforehand. You'll still need to move somewhat of course, but no where near as much. |
Hello everyone, I apologize for not being able to post this on my main. The enrage is trivial, just 4 heal it. |
Hello everyone, I apologize for not being able to post this on my main. We 4 heal it currently 2 sides one side has a H pall and a disc priest (me :]) The other side has a Holy priest, resto shaman. Its a pretty tough fight but with coordination and practice its do-able! Just remember to not get too frustrated and try your hardest to have fun. Even if the wipes are never-ending. never-ending wipes. Now that's not fun in either aspect. Yeesh! :3 |

As long as you have an armor buff on each side you should be okay. We 4 healed it and one side had a resto shaman with stoneskin up and my side had nothing. There was definitely a difference in damage taken.

We began to 3 heal it and our Rdruid would act similar to a floater(I'd solo heal kohcrom till the first black blood, she and the mage would switch and she would help me while the disc would solo heal morchok, next black blood her and the mage would switch and I would solo heal Ko again while they two heal Mo.)
Today though I was able to solo heal Ko without a blood dk or hybrid to help heal and overall it's pretty easy. Don't be afraid to use your mana on the first two stomps, and know after the 3rd stomp you have lee-way. Always prioritize crystal soakers to be above 50% when crystal hits, then begin to top everyone off(You have quite a bit of time). So if you're so keen on solo healing Ko and not using something similar as to what we had to before this week than just play smarter. Make sure you have a solid stomp soaker, make sure your tank is rotating cd's properly, make sure dps are using any defensive cd's they have. The reason his health is so much lower is because it's a survival fight. If you're forced for some reason into 4 healing it, than your raid is just playing bad and not using the tools at their disposal to stop damage. So telling them to play smarter and use cd's as well can make a big difference. |

Don't expect to get very far in other heroics if you can't manage to 3-heal Morchok. I laugh everytime I see logs of groups 4-healing it. We've had 3 different classes heal Kohcrom's side now, it can get rough but it's not that bad.
That being said, if you simply can't manage 3-healing it, just 4-heal it because the enrage is (or rather should) be a complete non-issue. |
If you're talking heroic tell someone to fraps it, because I would have to see it to believe it. |

what is the other healers? maybe you are not the best to solo heal it.

We 3 heal it. We 2 heal the Morchok side because there are more stomps and crystals on that side. The Kohcrom side gets solo healed, which I did last week. This week I was having a lot of difficulty healing that side so I paired up on the Morchok side with our H Pally and our Resto Shaman healed the Kohcrom side.
Its doable but difficult. The person solo healing really needs to be on their toes, and I apparently wasn't last night. I'd recommend putting a tank with a lot of mitigation on the side being solo healed. In my case, I would've preferred our DK tank switch to that side as he takes a lot less damage than our Warrior tank. Instead we just swapped healers and downed it that way. |

We 4 heal this fight. His enrage timer is really forgiving.
However, you do have 5 seconds to get to the crystal, so you can get a cast or two off, then use Speed of Light to get there quick. You need to get everyone up fast, especially if he starts spamming crystals at you. You're probably going to have to have someone on that side with you who can either off-heal, or can put up several CDs to reduce the amount of healing you have to do. |

Seriously - this fight is a joke on ten man heroic compared to twenty five heroic. Just make sure you have two heals on the Morchok and one heal on the other. Make sure one healer on the Morchok side is mobile like holy priest or druid. Or 4 heal it for more lulz.

Just remember that if you put a melee in each grp it makes it much easier. Rogues and DKs absorb big time (rogues are best damage reducing for this but also DK in BP, IBF). The shards are not different on heroic. You just always keep the range+healer on shards REGARDLESS of who it links on. As long as the same 3 assigned get there to share damage that's all that matters.
Range finders to 25 - always stay in range easy to do. EVERYONE must share stomp damage. Tank will need to move a bit and position when crystal appears. Many guilds 4 heal this but my guild 3 healed it. But since like other's stated there is no time to worry about other than dragging it out a bit. Anyways even with 4 healers it's not like a DW fight for time. Pro tip: Shard soakers - just like Baerloc - equip BH trinkets. The savings in damage every min is too massive to ignore. |

The issue really is that around twice in the fight, each side will get two sets of stomp +crystals back to back. Meaning, stomp -> crystal, new crystal spawns almost immediately after (with another stomp to soak before that crystal explodes). I believe this happensshortly before the second and third (fourth?) black phases.
Essentially you'll get two stomps, and two crystal explosions in ~ 25 sec window. we've two healed it, but it's very dicey if you don't use some kind of cooldown for them. This is even more true if you get a set like that during the last 20%. |
Pro tip: Shard soakers - just like Baerloc - equip BH trinkets. The savings in damage every min is too massive to ignore. Not really worth the raid wide DPS loss, considering you don't need that to do the fight in any way. |
