This typically happens when your having some sort of restriction on your network, or security software on your Mac.
Are you on a public network, like a university, military, or school network? Also, have you tried disabling your OS X firewall to see if this helps download the tools? If you have nay other security applications, I would turn them off too. ________________________________________________ Mac Tech Support for Baaaaahlizzard Entertainment || Sunday to Thursday 11:00 am - 8:00 pm CST http://www.surveymk.com/s/RF8K3KG ---- Rate my Baaaaalue Posts. Hi Honorface,
Are you wireless? Sometimes this causes issues, as it's hitting the router's firewall. You may want to try bypassing your router to see if it helps. Bypassing the router
2. Follow the ethernet cable from the modem to the router. Unplug it from the router. 3. Plug this end into your computer. 4. Plug the power back into your modem and let it start up. 5. Restart your computer. 6. Test. You may also want to try updating in safe mode to see if that helps. Starting up into Safe Mode (to Safe Boot)
2. Press the power button. 3. Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone. 4. Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear). ________________________________________________ Mac Tech Support for Baaaaahlizzard Entertainment Not finding what you need here? The tools update sounds like its having issues downloading due to network issues.
This often happens due to firewalls on the network itself. Networks like school, college, military, cellular and etc have issues like this. Also Warcraft III uses different ports to download than WoW. What type of network are you on, and are on wifi or directly connected to Ethernet? ________________________________________________ Mac Tech Support for Baaaaahlizzard Entertainment Not finding what you need here?
