Hi.
So, while normally you and I don't talk much, LH realm forums, I decided to try to get back in touch. Don't worry - I have selfish reasons, I'm not just being polite. We need mages and rogues. And I'm not talking just any mages and rogues. I mean mages and rogues who are well-geared (394+ item level) and who are good players. We might take some mages below this item level as long as they satisfy that second criteria. Now, normally, we recruit off-server. This is true. Most guilds at our level do. Why? Because we're elitist pricks. Just kidding, we're not. Not all of us, anyway. Actually, the reason we recruit off-server is because we usually want a certain kind of raiding experience (extensive Heroic mode experience when they're current content) to go with our raiders, and believe it or not, players with this experience are way, way more likely to work out in our roster than those who don't have it. Years of experience and literally hundreds and hundreds of applicants has taught us this, as it has the leadership in most other leading US raiding guilds. So you may be asking yourself, "But if you guys hate us so much (which we don't), then why do you want our mages and rogues?" The answer to this is simple: mages and rogues transcend player skill AND raiding experience. It's true. Those classes are just that good. When Dragon Soul launched, there was a huge Blizzard development meeting in which they all sat down and said, "How do we make this content really insanely difficult early on?" and the conclusion they came to was that all guilds should just need to find a lot of mages and rogues. Seriously. That's what happened. We checked. Maybe. So if you're a mage or a rogue, and you want to help us out in Dragon Soul progression, you should drop us a line - especially if you're well-geared and you don't suck. Really, in general, if you feel you're one of the best players you know and you can commit to our raiding schedule, you should apply, because you'd probably work out just fine. We like good players. I guess you guys are getting pretty desperate watching the dps requirements for H Spine to want to try to poach people on server. Btw it's pretty easy to see who would fit your requirements just by quickly checking in Wowprogress, which it looks like you already did looking at the update times on alliance mage and rogue profiles. Search brings up a grand total of one mage and two rogues, one of which is pvp. Don't really know why you bothered to post, since raiding is so dead on this server, but good luck with your class stacking all the same.

Well, it's not that we want to poach people, but the DPS requirements are... well, they're DPS requirements.
You have to make them one way or another to kill the fight, right? Mages are great at putting in a lot of damage in a short period of time. It sucks that class stacking is a requirement for some of these fights, but... we're basically forced to work with what Blizzard gives us. As gear improves, class stacking will give way to the dramatically higher damage that Heroic gear affords this tier, and it won't be as much of an issue anymore. |

Hi Varnius! Long time listener, first time caller. Now, the message I really received from all that is that instead of a mage, you would rather have an ele shaman. This is understandable as we really are the most desirable class and spec. Anyway, it is my pleasure to inform you that this is indeed possible! All you need to do is pay for a faction change (perhaps you as a guild could work together and pool funds, or something) and toss some epics at me and we'll call it square. Talk to you in game to iron out the deets. One love.

I thought Mages and Rogues were still awesome for Blackhorn as well, simply that their burst was flat out required for Spine atm. |

Nah he actually is going to be playing with me on his alt for the rest of the season ;). being called a good spriest by someone that has played with the best Spriest (Talb) is quite the compliment I would say, and not indicative of any sort of carry whatsoever. |
