Northrend Dailies still worth the effort

Grinding gold the primary cata dailies become a chore. You can only run Tol Barad and Molten Front so many times before Warcraft becomes a job instead of a game. To break the constant monotony of dailies. I've added Icecrown dailies (Death's Rise / Shadow Vault) those pay 13 gold each (more then the Therzane's 9 or so). Venture bay (including Blackriver Brawl) can award anywhere between 204 to approximately 230 Honor Points (depending on guild perks) plus about 20 gold. The Kaluk dailies though less in a gold pay off allow the purchase of the Kaluk fishing pole at exhalted, which is still on of the best in the game. The Dalaran cooking daily pays off as well if not better then the Orgrimmar cooking daily, to include high amount of guild rep (depending on tabbard / guild perks). The jewel crafting daily (on my alt) has a similiar high payout in gold and rep.

Other perks include good drop rates of Frostweave and cata greens for DE. Both which bring a decent price on the AH. Rep for the various achievements. Patterns / recipes for the OCD who must posses all patterns.

And best of all is the speed for which this can be accomplished. A averaged geared alt at 85 can one or two shot most mobs. Good AOE can bring down a slew of mobs for looting.

In conclusion, if you've become bored with the rut on TB / Molten Front. Think about Northrend. I enjoy it.

Another unexpected benefit of Northrend dailies is that if anyone from the guild Saves The Day is around, you can gank the crap out of them then camp them at the graveyard with little interference from PvE CareBears. God, I hate that guild. My Kill On Sight list is as follows:
1) Anyone from Saves the Day
2) Anyone with any variant of Legolas as their name
3) Hunters who name their pet the same as the mob they tamed. Seriously, you tamed Sambas...wheeee, you are special, like every other hunter.
4) Princess Moira Bronzebeard in Blackrock Depths...oh help, I am mind controlled by Dagran Thaurissan...sure you are...
5) People who follow you on an escort quest and then kill your NPC right before the turn-in, then take off all their clothes and /dance on his corpse, then log off and server transfer so you can never get them back.

Overall, Northrend Dailies: Two Thumbs Up.

My GM is in Tol Barad a lot. Please kill his ugly pet turtle "Potpie" first. He'll cry and start yelling "HACKER you CHEATED".

Ugh! I too hate this... gets some creativity people! Jeez even name it off your favorite super hero or something! x_x;

And this is some nice information... I guess they lowered the gold because you get stuff like high end gear (At the time, still is kinda nice.) pets, mounts, and titles.

I really think the Argent Dailies would be huge if they built tournament in New Hearthglen. Mounted combat making dueling at any level equal could be huge. But its really in an extremely unaccessable place.

Completely agree. Still using that title.

Saves the Day is a gank and camp guild. I hate that. We're on a PvP server, so I have no problem with getting attacked in the wild even if the attacker is higher level. I do have a problem with corpse camping. I just don't see the point...unless you are getting back at Saves the Day.

You know turtle Bisque is a fairly low level cooking recipe and gives decent buffs.
