Hi Mobile AH users and Blizzard Mobile QA/Development team,
First off, love the app, really great way to stay in touch with guildies and manage auctions on the go. At the moment I'm totally satisfied for $3 a month. I do have several suggestions / complaints, coming from a power-AH user standpoint, and I'd love for you to just glance through them and tell me if there are any possible solutions. 1) 200 transaction limit per day(!?) -- It's been said before, and I read the thread where you mention that only 1% of mobile users have ever hit the cap, but still this number seems pretty low -- a quick search on wowhead shows that there are 346 glyphs, and ever since you screwed inscriptionists by making glyphs permanent, there's never a reason to buy multiple, so I list glyphs one-by-one, and I can list glyphs alone and hit 200 transactions pretty ridiculously quick. How about 200 transactions per CHARACTER instead of account, if there really needs to be some limit? 2a) Default sell price setting -- good functionality, but why do I need to choose EITHER undercut/match/remember? In-game addons like Auctioneer or Auctionator will do "undercut by % if there's a competitor, ELSE list at last price" -- it's terrifying to see a Delicate Queen's Garnet's buyout price start at like 5g, simply because my preferred option is "undercut by 1%" and there aren't any on the AH at the moment. Fortunately I haven't accidentally sold anything for near-zero gold quite yet. At very least make the pre-set price BLANK and unlistable (in the case where you have it set to undercut, but there are no items listed yet), so the addon makes sure you put in your own price. 2b) Superior default listing options -- I notice that the app remembers my preference for 12hour/24/48 for each individual item, but why is the default 12h for every item until I've changed it once? I like listing things at 24h, and I have changed that option sooo many times. 3) Mailbox management improvements -- it definitely seems like it is intended that the app cannot interact with your character's inventory, and that's fine, but how about simply being able to offload items from your mailbox into your bank? 4) Multi-stack mailbox management -- if you've failed to sell 100 volatile life, which you listed in stacks of 10, then you're hogging your mailbox space up big time (and you're going to blow through your transaction limit as well) whereas you should be able to handle all 100 at the same time if you wanted to, because they can stack up to 200 in-game. There should be some way to handle this. 5a) Mass-price check on all of the items you're thinking about relisting -- I pull up my mailbox (full of 50+ items) and I'm trying to choose which glyphs to relist (because I'm dealing with a 200 transaction limit), so I want to relist glyphs that are selling at a high price at the moment (or none are currently listed at all). It would be sick awesome if looking at all of your mailbox items from the "Create Auction" menu or "Ended Auctions" menu would also put the current lowest price of that item on the side (who cares about 29 days / expired message in "Ended Auctions"? Why are the only sort options in "Create Auction" Name/Rarity/Required Level? We're talking about cash!!) When you browse auctions it shows the current lowest price of all the relevant items over on the side -- it would also be super useful to see that same price info when you're choosing which items to re-list. 5b) Price check on the sum of the item's components, if the item is craftable -- if I've made a bunch of enchant scrolls that didn't manage to sell, when I re-list them I want to make sure that I'm charging more than the sum of the total cost of the components -- I have some addons handle this for me in-game, but it would be pretty awesome if the app could handle it in real-time! 6) Mass re-list / undercut -- this one might be a little controversial (because of undercut-spammers), but I think it would be hugely awesome if you can simply checkbox a bunch of your items in the "Create Auction" menu, and press "List All Checked Items", so it would list all of your items very quickly, while following your undercut/remember price rules. I can usually stand the tedium, but I think this alone might make this app catch on like wildfire. It was mentioned elsewhere that perhaps some of these more power-AH user functionalities could be part of a super-premium mode, where you charge us $5 / mo or something, and I think a good handful of us would be really pumped to pay for it. Maybe the hardcore AH users aren't the most common around (and it seems crazy to me that only like 1% of mobile-AH users ever hit the 200 transaction cap), but when I decide to pay 20% additional subscription so I can have a badass remote Auction House app, I would hope the app would allow to me to seriously control my auctions, show lowest prices on all the items I'm thinking about relisting, automate re-listing, etc. MAYBE even use my professions to craft new stuff to put on the AH -- would be ridiculously awesome! Thanks for your time and dedication, you guys make the world's most awesome games! |

I just subscribed to the paid Mobile/Remote Auction house a few hours ago. My first impressions were all very good. However....
I prefer to post most of my auctions in stacks of 1, which I have been doing for years on the In-game auction house. I have many characters who all have different items they auction (based on professions etc..). Well... I posted all the auctions for one of my characters through my new Mobile subscription and all went well. I then switched to another character to post their items. Within a few posted auctions I got a message telling me i was going to hit a transaction cap and I needed to wait 8 hours to post any more.?.?.? I still have auctions to finish on that character, and then 8 more characters just on this server (then to the next server and more toons). If I do some top-of-the head math, I am probably 10-15 % done with my auctions for just TODAY, and I am already cap locked. Something needs to be done (raise cap numbers drastically or some form of verification that gets rid of a cap) to make this subscription a worth while investment for me. The fact that an hour into my new subscription, I am already capped and unable to complete what I started, does not bode well for me keeping this subscription for a second 30 days. I could change my entire Auction House philosophy, and sell more items per stack, but my view on posting is to give people the option to always only buy 1 item where needed and not a 20 stack for 1 item. Are there any plans to change this soon? |
