Anyone have a macro to automatically prospect all the ore in my bag by pressing it once?

Can't be done due to the restrictions on secure APIs. You have to press some keybind for each and every prospect, because there is no equivalent to "create all" for the prospecting (or milling, or enchanting) skills.

Best you can do is a prospect macro that looks like this:

/cast Prospecting
/use Elementium Ore
/use Obsidium Ore
/use Pyrite Ore

However the macro fails if you have a partial stack < 5 leftover of e.g. Elementium.

We've been asking Blizzard for some relief here for years now, with no joy.

which is really annoying after all these years.

Good macro, I basically have/use the same thing. But this last point you have here is another annoying 'feature'. To be more specific of the macro failing, it fails based on where you have a partial stack in your bags. ie:

If you have 6 stacks of ore in your third bag and have 1 partial stack in your first or second bag, the macro looks for the first stack it can find (in order: bag 1, bag 2, bag 3, etc). It will prospect in groups of 5 (obviously) on the stack in that second bag, then when you have a stack of 1-4 ore left, it fails.

Same thing happens if you have multiple stacks in the same bag, but the you have a partial stack somewhere before the "last stack" in the bag.

Bind your prospecting macro to mouse wheel down, construct an auto mouse wheel spinner using the LEGO motor, ???, profit.

Although I think this is against the ToS. In which case I do not support this idea and I most definitely have not implemented it. Or used it for disenchanting too.

I believe it would violate the spirit, but not the letter, of the ToS. Your device would create a unique physical action for each in game action, however, it would not require your presence in the game.

Allows clicks/key presses to pass through to WOW while doing other things alt tabbed out... Read the info about it before you decide (it seems to be not technically against the rules, but they couldn't get Blizzard to comment for sure), but potentially better than staring at wow while prospecting. Super easy to setup

Edit: Just to clarify the timing function is likely the part that skirts the edge of the rules. If you use it purely to pass a single button corresponding to your prospect button in WOW, and you actually physically press that button everytime you want it to prospect then you're fine. The key sending itself is basically how most Multibox software works, and Blizz isn't against that. I'd just imagine the timing function is the part that is an issue with possible rule violation.
