Enhancement Shaman

I have proof that Blizzard hates us:
During most of Burning Crusade, Enhancement Shaman gained AP through Strength, like warriors and paladins. How many pieces of mail gear had strength on them at max level? None, outside of our tier gear, which didn't have much to begin with, limiting the capabilities of enhancement shaman outside of the realm of high end raiding. Enhancement will always be outperformed by other classes DPS wise, such as rogues, simply because of the length of our CDs. After I finish my rotation, there's around a 6 second timer where I have to either white hit (which is supposedly better than throwing in a Lava Burst), or use a Lava Burst. This applies to all shaman, but our totems are more of a hindrance than help. I can't even drop my totems before a boss fight because my Searing Totem refuses to attack anything, regardless of flame shock being on my target or not. Last night on Blackhorn, I had to refresh my Searing Totem six (6) times before it started to attack him, how ridiculous is that? Enhancement Shaman also have the highest hit requirement (hit+expertise combined) to be hit capped, which is kinda lame because I don't have any wiggle room in terms of reforging, which sucks. In terms of PvP: We haven't got any real defensive CDs, as Shamanistic Rage doesn't mitigate enough damage for us to survive, and our wolves are a joke. Our wolves had their hay day in Wrath, when they seemed to be doing fine, but now I don't even have to think about popping my wolves because their heal is incredibly minor, and the only thing they offer is an escape plan (which fails if one wolf is killed, because apparently the other forgets how to cast spirit walk by himself), and a small 2 second stun. Please, for the love of all that is good, scale our wolves with our level so that we aren't the laughing stock in PvP. We have great sustained damage, but our burst is lacking without Vial of Shadows, which will be nerfed, making us a joke again. Conclusion: This may come across as a lot of QQ, but if you played an enhancement shaman for a day, you'd see exactly what we go through. I'm extremely sick of playing a joke class, and I refuse to reroll because of how much effort I put into him. My shaman is my favorite toon ever, and all I'm asking for is a few minor fixes that are quality of life problems. I'm not asking to be OP like rogues or mages, I just want a little bit of the love that those two classes get endlessly. edit 1: grammatical errors abound |

I can tell that not many find this matter as pressing as I do. It's incredibly sad that issues that have been present since 2007 are still a problem in 2012. Step it up Blizzard, seriously. Enhancement hasn't impressed me in such a long time.

shammys are the redheaded step children of wow
conside for an instant that a shammy at 75 get rockbiter it reduces damage taken and increases agro enhancement with rock on both has the equivalent of plate and releasing the enchant is a taunt yet they arent a tank class so basicaly these abilitys are useless so why give them too shammys? simple answer blizz doesnt care shammys are a broken class that are being phased out as we speak hopefully monks are similar in design to shammys then we shammy lovers have somewhere to go |
|
I don't want to reroll though, I love my shaman, and I want to be fixed :/

|
not gonna happen shammys are a rare class and dieing as we speak
|
|
Hunters are quickly taking Shamans' place as being WoW's red-headed stepchildren.
|
Rockbiter is never useful though, we don't have any way to mitigate damage so having a taunt makes us, in essence, a dummy while the rest of the group can rez the tank. I haven't used Rockbiter since BC, when it was a damage increase. |

Really? i didnt notice we were that bad |
Worst PvP class since...forever and in a rapid downward slide in PvE. Yeah, it's a bad, bad time to be a Hunter. |
Because hunters aren't. At least you all get attention -.- |

It's true, we suck. I get made fun of for playing enhancement, I've also been told I don't know how to play my "two-button class," we are not necessarily picked first when it comes to RBG's or raids, and I have to make sure my rotation is spot in both PvP and PvE to end up towards the top of the charts.
Still, the class is super fun to play, I love totems, I love my wolves (even if they aren't an "I win" button) and the utility that comes with playing a shammy. I don't think I'll stop playing the class even if they replace my axes with foam bats. |
That's why I want to keep playing my shaman, because besides the glitchy totems and super underpowered wolves, he is still fun. And you pretty much are swinging foam bats when it comes to fighting DKs and mages -.- |

as a rogue/priest/lock/warrior/pally/druid at max level, I agree, Shaman need 1 a slight mobility buff, 2 major option changes(new move to quell the time disparity between CDs or SOMETHING ZOMG)
one thing that I was thinking, is make the thunderstorm(name? the move that blows people away as elemental) baseline. Then make it so one of the first moves in enhance/ele be the ability to increase its damage, and in elemental have it give it a pushback effect, whereas enhance has a "static cling" effect in order to snare them, cause earthbind totem is kinda lackluster... forgot I had an 85 max level drood as well, and added an idea to help with enhance a lil bit. |
Lower cooldowns on Stormstrike and Lava Lash, imo. |
I'm glad you can agree, despite playing all of those classes :p |

as a rogue/priest/lock/warrior/pally at max level, I agree, Shaman need 1 a slight mobility buff, 2 major option changes(new move to quell the time disparity between CDs or SOMETHING ZOMG) well the main reason, is because on bstab here, I can usually tear apart an enhance shaman pretty easy, on my priest, it's no question, lock, same deal, warrior they're weak, and on my pally, I just heal through the dmg no problem.... IMO enhance shaman are the biggest in-need class right now, they need some serious buffs. and I need some serious food! |
ding ding ding, winrar. We need help D: And Blizzard refuses to toss a life preserver |
