How did your guild treat you?

Hi all, this is a thread for people to post comments and opinions on their own guilds and guild officer echelon which includes the guild masters. This is purely not a thread to post insults or related statements, but a thread to post honest truth about the various guilds and guild officers on Gnomeragan. It is my sincere hope that at least through this thread, players can be greatly more well informed as to which guilds are good and safe for them to join, and which guilds to avoid, so that this way, players can avoid these 'BAD' guilds. Joining 'BAD' guilds lead to waste of time and effort, which would probably leave players with psychological or spiritual scars/wounds that could have been avoided.
At the same time, hopefully, through this, guild officers and guild masters would be more keenly reminded to conduct themselves properly, and NOT to treat their fellow guildies as 'EXPENDABLE' assets to kick around as they please or to steal their raid positions and pass it to someone who had managed to offer them seductive offers or tempting bribes, or treat players outside of their own 'ELITE RAID TEAMS' as squatters or non-existent people. Please post honest sincere comments, as who knows you would come back to this thread for information. Also, you can post your experiences about previous and current guilds that you would like to share with everyone. So to make things easier, please kindly post in such a format: Guild Name: The guild Name here, Guild Rating: How many stars out of 5? Guild Officers' Rating: How many stars out of 5? (PS: If you gave less than 4 out of 5, please state reasons.) Guild Good Points: What are the good points about the guild? What makes you feel the guild had been good to you? Why do you think this guild is good? Would you recommend this guild to other people? and Why? Guild Bad Points: Has this guild mistreated you? Why is this guild not good? What are its flaws? Did the guild officers steal your raid positions even when you signed up for it? Any Other Comments: Please post any additional comments if you have. Thank you. |

OP, sounds like you're mad about your treatment from a certain guild. Perhaps to lend some credibility to your thread, you should get on your main and post a report about this guild? I promise I won't revel in the ensuing drama...come on gnomer forums ENTERTAIN ME

Psychological or spiritual scars? If someone is allowing other players to affect them that deeply, they should not be playing. There are clearly more issues than that player just being in a "BAD" guild. I'm not saying that the social aspect of this game has no negatives, but saying that the negative experiences can leave a psychological or spiritual scar is a bit much. Because this realm is very much into cliques, I think a thread like this could turn ugly very fast. If you're in a guild and not happy, take the high road. Leave. Making a forum post about a guild or even specific players you don't like is counterproductive. I don't know about you, but I play to have fun. Why dwell on bad experiences when there is so much fun to be had? ...conduct themselves properly, and NOT to treat their fellow guildies as 'EXPENDABLE' assets to kick around as they please On the old forums and back when I was on another realm, a very abusive guild leader received 20 or so pages of various people from the realm letting him know exactly how they felt about him. It was the funniest and saddest thing I had ever seen. Not saying he didn't have it coming, but if you believe in karma trust all the people that have mistreated you will probably not get very far. People stopped playing with this player and avoided his guild. The moral: Treat others like you want to be treated. If someone doesn't treat you the way you'd expect to be treated, move on. Perhaps start your own guild and lead by example. |

I think what you need to understand is that some people don't play to make friends. Befriending someone would just be a bonus, not a requirement. If you got replaced in a raid then maybe you should reevaluate your gameplay and figure out why you're not as good as the player who trumped you. If the objective is to be competitive and down bosses then there are no sacred cows. Friendly competition amongst your guildies is not a bad thing as it keeps you sharp, prevents complacency and makes you compete for that raid spot. If you can't stand the heat then get out of the kitchen. Join a social guild or leveling guild. Like in industry, assets are replaced when a better product comes along - expendable. |

Guild Name: Apotheosis
Guild Rating: 1 outta 5 Guild Officers' Rating: 0 outta 5. Narph is rude and cannot control his temper. he yells at me everytime I log on because I'm wearing a purple outfit. He once made fun of how abnormally small my fingers were when i gave him a hand shake. One time I drank 4 loko on my 21st birthday during a raid and narph yelled at me and said that I cannot drink in HIS raid that I had to be dismissed. He then made me apologize to the guild for my immaturity and lack of responsibility and dedication to the raiding team in which I was so lucky to have been given a chance to participate with. Right after he laughed at my and banned me from mumble for 10 minutes. Guild Good Points: Good things? Good at being losers. I feel good about this guild everytime I log off for the night because I'm finally gone from them. I wouldn't recommend this guild to anybody. Guild Bad Points: This guild says mean stuff to me all the time like: Hey Geoda, you're a loser! or Geoda's online, everyone hide yo kids! This guild has no money. They promised me raid time which I never get. I don't get free repairs, flasks or food when I do manage to make it to a raid. Narph says I have to give him 25 cents everytime I want to run an instance with him because that's how much my time is worth to him. I feel abused, mistreated, scared and abused. and mistreated. I'm scared. I'm scared to talk in mumble because they always make fun of my voice, saying that I sound like I haven't hit puberty yet. One time I hopped in mumble and narph said that I couldn't hang out in mumble with them unless I sang "Billy Jean" by Michael Jackson. Any Other Comments: Moving to Gnomeregan and joining this guild was the worse thing that could have ever happened for me in this game. Are any other guilds recruiting? I have really good gear and i do really high heals. |
Guild Name: Apotheosis Nice. Good information, and at least, smart heads would think 5 times before joining such guilds. Please, everyone, if you have credible information about previous guilds or current guilds that you are in, don't be afraid to post information about these guilds, be it good or bad information. |

Guild Rating: 5 out of 5 Guild Officers: 5 out of 5 For the most part we treat everybody in the guild with respect. Guild good points: We try to help every member out as much as possible like if you need help with your rotation or professions. |
