Why can't spice be the spice of life?

What do you have against oregano!?!

Not sure why the Blues dismiss concerns like they do now, it was not always so. Neth is better than most but some are downright arrogant.

Forgive paying customers for wondering if the game is worth paying monthly for while we wait for this 'mysterious' expansion. We pay you to continually give us things to do. Heaven forbid we start questioning if we will actually get anything for it in the coming months.

Neth, I don't suppose you have any comment on how beta invites will be working for Annual Subs?

The agreement states that you are guaranteed access to the beta, but it does not say when. Depending on the amount of people that took this offer, I would venture to say not everyone that signed up will get in when the beta starts.

Because of this, Blizzard could potentially have some Annual Passers not enter the beta until the stress tests at the end of the beta and fulfill their obligation. I am 95% sure that this will not happen as it would be PR failure (at best) and lead to more lost subs (at worst).

Forgive paying customers for trying to figure out if the game is worth paying monthly for while we wait for this 'mysterious' expansion. We pay you to continually give us things to do. Heaven forbid we start questioning if we will actually get anything for it in the coming months.

We are most definitely not dismissing concerns. We have regular meetings and do reports each week specifically to point out the current concerns and issues the community is discussing. Perhaps it may seem dismissive if we aren't agreeing with an idea or sentiment, but that doesn't mean that we aren't still discussing it in some way.

You have no need to ask for forgiveness for wanting to know more. We fully intend to deliver more and we did cover a lot of it during BlizzCon as well. We'll be refreshing that information however and moving you all forward with us by letting you know how things have advanced/changed and developed since then though.

We love your questions. We just may not be able to answer them all when or how you want. We may on occasion be a bit more silent about things than you (or we) might like, but as I've said in the past, there is a method to the madness.

What we always want to make sure of though, is that if people are asking questions or sharing feedback, that it be done constructively. We don't mind negative or viewpoints that aren't shiny and happy as long as they are done in a way that is constructive and doesn't become defamatory toward other posters or Blizzard employees. This is a place for discussions and it's important that when we come here to discuss, we do so with some thought and care for the people sitting behind the keyboards on both ends of the spectrum.

In short, we care. We care a lot. We may not always show it perfectly, but we love the community we have and we love the work we do.

I can't comment on this yet, but we will be putting together information on how everyone will be getting into the beta including those that signed up for the World of Warcraft Annual Pass. We know it's something people are concerned about and we want to make sure that we're as clear as possible on the process.

"We do have a plan to update the calculator with all of the changes that have been made (thus far based on constructive community feedback and internal testing) in the near future."

I get a little annoyed with this; constructive feedback should encompass negative feedback, but it gets quickly smashed with the troll stamp and discardly lately. There has been already a ton of feedback on this subject, and Blizz made it very clear, "We going to stick to our way." Players do not want this talent change. going from a 31 point tree to a 6 point tree is very boring and limting. Just because feedback may not embrace Blizz grand plans, doesn't mean it's trolling and disregarded. It is still postive and constructive, trolling is more defined as make outburst slander comments just to be insulting. I do love Wow, but not happy with the upcoming changes. There has already been a mass of feedback, that been completely ignored. It feels rather insultiing to the customer.

My issue with all the people saying the annual pass is a means to keep us playing 10 months without new content just ' cus we get beta invite and D3 is that for me it's the opposite.

They announce 4.3 as the last major patch in the expansion, they announce they plan to release content faster and not have the Great ICC Depression happen again, then they announce the annual pass, and that there won't be a Blizzcon this year.

I read that it means MoP is coming sooner rather than later, like an early summer release, which would actually match that famously leaked template that has been pretty accurate so far.

In all honesty, the first Annual Passes are scheduled to expire around October, if MoP is not out before that I can see a large subscription drop happening, as talking to my guildies and other friends who play WoW, they all say the same, " if they lured us into the annual pass just to keep us in a content-less game for a year, I'm not buying MoP".

I've been staying positive with that thought in mind, that Blizzard knows their customers will feel cheated and disappointed if they signed for an annual pass that locked them into a game that has nothing new to offer for almost a whole year, and will do a June release for MoP, especially with games like GW2 coming out during summer as well. They don't want another 1.3M subscription loss.

Too much negativity for a Wednesday.

BTW, interesting fact (that has nothing to do with the question at hand) but, 2012 is the "year of the dragon" in the Chinese zodiac.

I think this was a hint...

Not really a hint. More like Neth saying "You're stuck with DS until December, then our Asian themed expansion will be released right before the new year". That's how I'm reading it at least lol

No, it's Neth's way of saying that I was born in the year of the rat. Year of the dragon doesn't bode well for me since dragons eat rats, don't they? Then again, maybe we get along fine. I need to go look at the charts again to see...

*I just looked. I'm all good. Dragons and rats are fine. phew. Dodged a bullet there.

I like you the most, Neth. Sorry for being a grumpy bumpkin. I just love this game and hate getting bored of it.

There a bigger reason not to do a info release, hype factor. Based on the info in this thread, we have at least a five month wait, meaning five more monthes of 4.3. The "hype factor" makes players ignore the exist content weaknesses, and repetitiveness. I find this the most alarming issue in this discussion. A five month wait for a expanision a majority of people are not excited about. I think Blizz needs to step up, and try harder.

Is blizzard going to address the burst potential of classes in MoP? From what I can tell from looking at the new talent tree previews is no....they are not. Just more compensation by adding new active abilities which is only going to continue to kill the game.

It has nothing to do with negativity. It has to do with people wanting to be informed consumers. Do you make purchased blindly without knowing what you're going to get often?

We'll be keeping everyone informed. Don't worry. We can't give time frames right now. As you know, we usually say it will be ready when it's ready. That said, I can reiterate that we are pushing forward very well on the next expansion and again point out that we were able to show so much at BlizzCon for a reason. I am not going to reassure you of when we intend for this to come out since I don't have that authority or permission to do so as of yet.

We're completely aware of how quickly players consume content. We're also aware that not all players have consumed all of the current content either. Does that make us less aware that there are many who are ready for more? No. But, we want to make sure we deliver our best with Mists of Pandaria and it won't be long until you start seeing a lot more of what we have in store for it and for you.

There are a lot of misconceptions floating around and being repeated that are based on what you believe is correct information or at least suppositions. Again, I am not in a position to clarify or negate those misconceptions beyond what I've said here. At least not yet. Hopefully, it won't be long before you will get that "big picture" look that you've been hoping for.

People just do not want a repeat of ICC. People are getting Anxious for this expansion i think because of so much that was revealed at Blizzcon.
