lovely charm bracelets..

Is it me or does it seem impossible to farm 270 love tokens to buy the mount, seeing this world event hasnt even been going for no less than 24hours. What i want to know are people duping the charm bracelets, because something doesnt add up.

You can buy these off other people and it's easily farmable if you have the will to do that much farming. I've already farmed about 160 of them from random mob kills.

They are not "duping" anything, duping in this game does not exist, the might dropping of something they should not and collecting hundreds or thousands would be considering an exploit. You only need like 30 per day ( aprox 300 ) in order to get the reward you want. |

the dailies can get you 30 tokens a day, so you ca get a total of 420 tokens towards mount, pet and holiday stuff.
Or you can collect 2700 charms to turn into bracelets that turn into tokens on a one to one basis. The event is two weeks, not 24 hours. |
What people aren't doing is 'duping', because such a thing isn't possible. What they are doing is going into instances with high trash respawn rates (Halls of Lightning is one of them) and farming charms that way. It isn't impossible and they aren't doing anything wrong. |
Like he said as long as YOU are the one farming and not using a "bot" to farm the charms for you, you are allowed to solo your way into and instance and farm fast spawning mobs. Really its just a time dedication issue more then anything |

In the Icecrown area there are packs of 8 Fallen Champions. Each group has netted me 2 to 6 charms, and they respawn fairly quickly. 2700 charms is easy to get if you have the time to farm.

Fallen Champions are in the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard. I think you're referring to Converted Heroes. |

I've already seen people with the mount, and i'm on day 3 and 1/2 way there. and you don't need that many if you are patient. 1 bracelet = 1 token if you got to the vendor, but each day you can give a bracelet to the leader of the factions (4 leaders) for 5 tokens. Takes longer but less farming. As far as farming goes...trogs in deepholm. |

You can get over 30 Love Tokens a day doing dailies too. Add that to the charm drops and it's trivial. |

It can be done if you are committed. I have the mount (that's why I don't have any gear on, New mount + nude + AFK in Stormwind).
This is how I did it..... Dailys twice. Head to Icecrown and kill thinks for hours and hours and hours.......... Nothing duped, nothing bought, just good, old fashioned grinding. |

Almost everybody here missed the OP's point, which was not that it is hard to get 270 tokens over the whole week, but that it would be hard to get them in the first few hours of the event, which people must have done to be selling mounts on the first day.
To which the very first reply provided the info I think he missed, the bracelets can be traded even though neither the charms nor tokens can. So people can easily have gathered the work of many people together by paying them enough. |

These are easily farmable in Throne of the Tides the elemental quater's before the last boss you can sit there for 2 hrs and farm Lovely Charm x1000. kill the mobs that respawn and redo till you have collected all the charms you need to get the mount.

What I don't understand is why people are buying the mounts. It's easy to farm them up over 8-9 days just by doing the dailies, so why spend tens of thousands of gold just to get it a week earlier?

Because the mount counts towards the mount collector achievement and people loves thems some achievements... It's a level 20 non-bound unique mount which means you can have a bunch across all of your alts and sell them for thousands over the course of the year...THOUSANDS |

You don't have to buy anything. You can get it in one day by farming. But of course that takes time. |
