We've updated the original Battle.net Balance announcement to clarify that Battle.net Balance cannot yet be used to make digital purchases through the online Blizzard Store -- in some regions, this includes World of Warcraft digital game-time codes, pets, and mounts. Digital Blizzard Store items will be available in a future Battle.net update. We'll have more information to share in the future, and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Thanks for the update, Bashiok!
I was confused at first as to why I couldn't utilize this new feature to Battle.net on the Blizzard Store until this update was posted. Hoping this feature will soon be available on the Blizzard Store to make online purchases. Do you happen to know though if we will be able use the Battle.net Balance feature for recurring payments at all in the future for World of Warcraft? I think it may be a good idea, But if it was able to work with the current system. =) Hoping to hear some more information on this new feature added to Battle.net as it does sound very promising! |
I think it is more than a good idea.. especially for subscribers who use other currencies than USD (as the value of currencies do change over time). |

Just to confirm, this also applies to Character Services like Character Transfers and Appearance Changes as well, right? Just wanted to make sure.

yes, thanks for the mass updates. can we please also get a blog/forum update when things from the blizzard store and subscriptions such as wow remote become available for those of us that uploaded money with the intent of using it for those services?
thanks :) |
