Has da war against da Alliance got ya down? Would ya sleep bettah at night knowin’ dat ya got a couple extra seaforium charges or goblin land mines hidden around your front yard? Do ya need a couple of litres of phosphine or chlorine gas to finally get rid of dat nasty dwarf infestation in your basement? Or have ya just been too nervous or tired of late dat ya feel like ya gotta try our new line of black lotus narcotics to function on a daily basis? Take my word fer it – ya’ll feel so good aftah ya try it, ya’d swear it was illegal! Allegedly addictive! Or is it extra labour ya be lookin’ fer – night elves and hoomie ladies fer ya harem, dwarfies and ogres fer yer menial labour, worgen fer yer freak shows and circus. What evah it is, da Modas il Toralar got it! Come on down to our Undermarket, and we’ll hook ya up with what ya need fer a bargain price dat ya won’t find anywhere else on Azeroth, Draenor, or elsewhere! We got weapons – biological, magical and mundane – slaves, drugs, liquors, all kinds of services ranging from assassination contracts to da kinda stuff ya wife would nevah agree to, and much, much more! And for a limited time only, buy one barrel of Forsaken Blight, and get another free! Das right – a second barrel of Forsaken Blight ABSOLUTELY FREE! And if it ain’ product ya be lookin’ fer, but ya be offerin’ services, da Modas il Toralar be hirin’ RIGHT NOW! If ya got experience smugglin’, or arms or drug traffcikin’, we got ya dream job in da Undermarket! Da Undermarket: accessible by portal from da Cleft of Shadows in Orgrimmar or Magic Quarter in da Undercity, and soon to be many more convenient locations! My name be Dree’jin, and I give ya my solemn promise dat if ya experience occasional bouts of antisocial personality disorder, den yer gonna walk out of da Undermarket happier den ya been in years! I guarantee nobody walks out of da Undermarket disappointed! Nobody! ((I just about died laughing when I read this. Drake, at some point, may have to pay this Undermarket a visit.))
((And...at some point I mean eventually, after he escapes his present state of captivity. xD)) ((Brilliant, Dreejin, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.)) |

Gentyl looked at the flier the goblin handed her. "What is it?"
He held out his hand and croaked something about time is money. She'd show him time if it was another stupid flier for the sea circus with all new shows. He read the flier with much animation, and made a few notes. "Slaves, drugs, weapons?" She looked around Ratchet, hoping Dree'jin was somewhere in sight. "Slimy worm. Someone needs to take him and that whole crew out." Where was Kod when she needed him? |

((Wonderful Dree! Made me think of : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UICgA-P67Zw))

(( Cheers everyone! Obviously this is pretty RP based due to game constraints, as a lot of these things don't actually exist as items, but if you have an in game request, Modas will try to meet it as accurately as possible! ))

((This was fantastic, Dree. :3 ))

((I have to say. Dree'jin, this was awesome. Though be warned, you'll have an angry Night Elf at the Undermarket's doorstep soon, I reckon. :) ))

*whistles innocently* I swear, I had nothing to do with it. *continues whistling innocently* ...okay, seriously, though, folks, Drake might be stirring up a wee bit of trouble too. ^^ All IC of course, and all just for the sake of plot and RP and fun and such. I think the Undermarket itself is a brilliant idea, with tons of RP potential. I salute thee, Dree'jin, and Modas. ...so when Drake's idiocy finally catches up with him, and he inevitably ends up the recipient of a beating...be gentle, plz? ^^ |
(( Looking forward to it. As everything the Modas does, the Undermarket is partially designed to stir up some controversy :P ))

Gondorin read the note, his currently-human features remaining impassive. "I wouldn't expect anything less from the Horde," he muttered. "But these Modas... I've heard Gentyl tell about their leader, and about this troll as well... perhaps it's something that needs dealing with..."
He rose from his seat in the inn in Stormwind, casually dropping some silver coins on the bar on his way out to pay for his drink. "Worgen for their freakshows, eh?" he growled as he walked out. His glimmering blue eyes took on a tint of red. "Worgen for their freakshows, eh?" His steps, unnoticed by him, were hurrying, even as his skin started swelling slightly. "Worgen for their fracking freakshows, eh?!" He stopped for a moment, startled, as he noticed commoners of Stormwind hurriedly rushing out of his way. His inner rage, so well controlled from the ceremony at Tal'doren, came bubbling out of him as his skin ripped apart, sprouting fur as his human face elongated into his natural worgen form. Panting in excitement and pain, he completed his transformation, dropping to all fours as he let loose a piercing, shrieking howl in the midst of the Mage Quarter's manicured lawns. Dogs in remote parts of the city took up the call, and other citizens of Stormwind quickly latched their shutters, having heard tales of the worgen invasion of Gilneas City only a short year previous. Gondorin rose to an upright position and yelled, "THIS WILL NOT STAND! THE BASTARDS WILL NOT SURVIVE!" Dropping to all fours again, he dashed off, guards and commoners leaping aside in surprise and fear. |

((Quick question for any Modas folks around or about: How should one go about contacting Modas about the Undermarket? Here on teh CC forums, in-game, or on a separate forum? Drake might be trying to contact y'all soon. ^^))
(( In game, or on our guildportal site. There's an IC forum for members and non-members alike. ))
((Okay. Thanks for all the info! I'd also checked with Tyrexus, who suggested just starting up a thread here...would that be alright with you as well? And, if you'd rather run this on the IC forum on your site, what's the URL for Modas' guildportal?))

** Just so everyone knows, the Undermarket is not a purely Modas creation, if I recall. There was a brief quest in the Burning Steppes or some such, with some Undermarket folks in a cave. but, Modas took the idea and ran with it. After all, how could ther NOT be an Undermarket in a world such as WoW? **

Drakehide sighs as he stands at the mailbox, about to drop a plain envelope inside. This was not originally what he had planned. When he had heard initially that slaves were being kept in the Undermarket, it had troubled him deeply. Drakehide was not one who solved his problems with words, or with thought. He solved his problems by the sword, by tests of strength and endurance, by one's conviction in battle.
But...Modas il Toralar were not his enemies. The work that they did was work for the Horde, and there was honor in them. The son of Rukh was walking a sword's edge - as many of his colleagues prepared more radical solutions to the Undermarket's trade of slaves, solutions that bordered on the outright treasonous, Drakehide hoped desperately that the situation might be disarmed through dialogue, and that diplomacy might prevail. This new issue carried with it the promise for a whole new level of open warfare, between the Alliance and the Horde. When the Alliance learned of this, their retaliation would be swift. It would be a great battle - a GLORIOUS battle - but, when it was done, the son of Rukh feared many of his friends, his allies, and his loved ones would be dead, lost forever. I did not survive torture at Tyrynna's hands only to watch my home destroy itself. He cast the message inside. Soon, it would arrive, and would be brought to the attention of the Modas il Toralar. Silently, he prayed to the spirits that this situation would be resolved soon, without the need for a single shot fired, on either side. Resolved, before it consumed them all in flames... |

The note, contained inside the plain white envelope, is as follows:
To Whom It May Concern, among the Modas il Toralar ((Thanks for your patience, Dree and Tyrexus, in answering all my questions thus far. ^^ IC, Drake is opposed to Undermarket slaving ring...I'd love to sit down in a tavern in-game and have a chat with any of y'all about this, sometime. I think the Undermarket as an RP concept is brilliant, especially the slaving bit - it has a lot of promise as a running theme in RP's for both factions. Anyway, see y'all in-game!)) |
