{Guild Origins}
From as far away as Durotar to as near as Deathknell they hailed, traveling great and miniscule distances to meet under the canopies of Tirisfal Glade. Prestigious or common, Orc or Sindorei, Knight or Blacksmith; they all had come for the same reason - to hear the words of the 'Father' and behold the vision granted his 'Voice'. These individuals, dressed in dark robes that varied from plain to ostentatious, did not see scullery maids or landlords in the pews beside them; but brothers and sisters in faith - kinsmen whom shared their devotion and hunger for a united purpose. From that night of worship and enlightenment emerged the 'Chapel of Night', a sect of shadow-worshipers whose desire for the unity of their sister sects is as strong as their fervor in the Shadow itself. Thus, hidden amongst Silvermoon's notable socialite circles; tucked away in the legions of Orgrimmar's ruthless legions; and even secreted into the plains of Mulgore did the word of the 'Father' take root and grow in the hearts of the ambitious, downtrodden, and rejected. {Guild Inspiration} In late December, a post called, "A Call to Arms" in response to the "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" thread posted by Volanaro of Dominion of the Sun. This post set off a chain of events that would soon give birth to "CoN/Chapel of Night". Inspired by the storyline shared between the Dominion of the Sun and the Clergy of Holy Light, I developed my own group which viewed the turmoil caused by the conflict as the catalyst to initiate its plans. This group is a sect of the religious organization, The Cult of Forgotten Shadow, which calls Andorhal home. For the most part, the rebuilding of Andorhal and its surroundings is their professed goal, though as you read on you'll see there is so much more in store should we grow. On a side note, it is well-known that the CoFS (Cult of Forgotten Shadow) and the CoL (Church of Light), are oft in constant conflict with one another. At times they even enter open conflict, personal militias or even bands of zealous worshipers, exchanging blows. I will happily acknowledge there is no love lost between these "opposites sides of the coin", but advise any interested in joining to flavor this hostility towards the "common foe" with subtlety and forethought. Many of my own characters are quite hostile towards worshipers of the Light. However, in order to effectively pursue the goals of the guild and to realistically portray the religious and political conflict these two engage in, they do not hold the overtly zealous and carelessly aggressive in high regard. {Guild Goals} Political Entity

Guild Ranks
In regards to ranks, CoN breaks its ranks into four tiers. The first tier pertains to members of the trial ranking and characters, whom are non-combatants and not members of the clergy itself. Basically, it is composed of the laity, which ranges from the everyday parishioner (worshiper) to a missionary volunteers and similar. The ranks that fall under this tier are: Follower, Parishioner, and Lay-worshiper. The latter of which possess privileges identical to "Regular Member" and "Veteran Member" ranks. The second tier pertains to characters that are members of the clergy itself, and usually see to the day-to-day operations of the church, as well as the needs of the parishioners whom look to them for guidance. The ranks that fall under this tier are: Acolyte, Disciple, and Canon. The latter of which possess privileges identical to "Regular Member" and "Veteran Member" ranks. The third tier pertains to characters that serve as high-ranking members of the clergy, similar in their capacity to cardinals, and normally oversee the specific groups within the church that take care of certain tasks from day-to-day. The ranks that fall under this tier are: Woespeaker and Revenant. Both of which possess privileges identical to "Sub-Officer" and "Officer" ranks. Last but not least is the fourth tier, which is fully explained at our guildsite, where you can find more in-depth explanations of the tiers and even ranks. ___________________________________________________________________________ Guild Roles Below one can see a few of the roles their characters can specialize in, while serving the Clergy of Andorhal and advancing the goals of the Chapel of Night Sect. These are just a few of the positions available in the Clergy of Andorhal, which can range from the prestigious priest to the dour mortician. You choose your path in CoN, we simply provide the road. ___________________________________________________________________________ Guild Sections |

How to Apply
If you wish to join, Chapel of Night, then you will need to contact Vilewomb in-game; both In-Character and Out-of-Character. In regards to In-character contact, the sect has flyers and recruiters seeking willing laborers, potential converts, or current worshipers; that wish to be of service. Should your character have found a flyer or overheard the promoting of living in 'Reclaimed Andorhal', then they need to use either of those as the foundation of the letter, adding why they want the clergy to pay for their transport to the city and how they can aid the clergy in the reconstruction effort. All letters are sent to Sister Diedri Vilewomb, a confessor, whom works as a personal adjutant to the Bishop-Exarch. Normally, such a letter will run you two in-game mail letters, if time and effort is taken to do so. We consider this as a way to judge a player's interest in the guild and its concept. A poor letter won't exactly harm your possibility for acceptance into the guild, but it does play heavily in our perception of you. After your In-character letter is sent, you will need to send an Out-of-Character one, in which you sum up your player goals and what you'd like out of the guild. More than likely, you'll receive an In-character and Out-of-Character response within 1-3 days, after which there will be a short interview, where we confirm your interest and commitment to the guild and induct your character. All in all, its a letter, an interview, then causing assumed Argent loyalists to get hung in the streets for treason. ___________________________________________________________________________ Character Requirements Member Expectations |

Grats on getting that delicious hood. No problem! I'll be on around evening this weekend due to work, so I'll see you around then and we can pick-up from where we left off. I hope we win Wintergrasp tonight, this really isn't the hood I wanted but the set does go together nicely, doesn't it? ^_^ I should look for a matching staff. |

With a great shout and a heave of arms tattered and scarred, did Yazenovac display his strength before the unbeliever, lifting up the fallen message of the 'true' path so that all might rejoice.
Hallelujah. |
