Cheat Death

Did they mess around with Cheat Death in 4.3.2? After the patch it has been doing next to nothing for me and every time it procs I just hear the noise and I die anyway, it doesn't seem to be bumping my health up to 10% and reducing damage by 80%. I've tested it countlessly in duels and BGs and I can confidently say that they've done something with it this patch.
Anyone else having these issues? My guess is that they made the Damage Reduction not scale with resil via a stealth nerf or a bug. |

You guys are gods in pvp, shut up.
Be happy you got legendaries. |

You guys are gods in pvp, shut up. You got killed by a rogue and now proceed to the forums to bark at every thread whether it is concerning a bug issue or not. I have no respect for you. FYI I don't have Legendaries nor Vial -.- |

Trolololol. I think you need a hug. I'd give you one, but I'd rather hug a stick than a warrior. Since a stick is at least useful in pvp.
And yes, it does seem to not be reducing damage. It is like it is just proccing with no affect. |

It takes weeks of raiding to get the legendaries, they don't just fall out of the sky. It's probably glitching with something that hit you beforehand and taking your health away, i.e. like how Hebisa ambushed/eviscerated this guy, vanished, and got sapped immediately. Definitely needs a fix. |

It never increased your health to 10%. The tooltip only every meant if you were above 10% and took a "Killing Blow" you were knocked down to 10%.
As for the damage reduction. You're probably just getting really bad luck and it's proccing off DOT ticks (which are usually only 1000-3000 damage). But, you could test it by checking numbers in the combat log. You guys are gods in pvp, shut up. lol |

I know what it does and I know if it's bad luck or not. I've been playing a long time and I know when somethings changed, I'm not just saying this because of a particular incident, it happens frequently ever since the patch. edit: Also take into account the other frequent bugs that have been happening lately.... the Ret seal one especially. |

Your original post just implied you thought it brought you up to 10% if below. Maybe there is a bug. I fought a few Rogues today with it and didn't notice anything odd. Most players pick it up so hopefully there will be more reports if there is. |

I have a love/hate relationship with cheat death.
I love when it procs and saves me, and I win a battle because of it. I hate when it procs and does nothing and I die instantly. The reason it breaks so often now is because the tooltip is very misleading. It doesnt always proc you up to 10% hp, it only does this if your above 10% and would be killed by one attack. If your at say, 2k hp and a dot or auto attack would kill you, It will only proc you up to a much smaller amount of hp. The 80% doesnt help if you only have 4k hp left with someone bashing on you. |

I'd rather put points elsewhere. Cheat death has been really hard to notice like OP said... just doesn't seem worth it to be honest

The tooltip, while correct, doesnt elude to the situational effect of the ability. It works, but in some instances it does nothing to save you. Example, you are at 18k hp, and you get popped for 17k, CD procs with you at 1k hp, and you still die 1sec later. It worked, but you had such a small health pool left, that it couldnt help you.
Now...if you are doing arena's and have a dedicated healer watching you, CD will save your butt in insta-swaps, where you become the focus target. It should give a healer enuff time to nurse you back up. Thats why its so often taken by the arena crowd...for good reason. For RBGs, imho, its a waste of 3pts. Very rarely is the rogue the focus target. Rogues are usually off alone ninja-ing nodes, in the back on enemy healers, stalking/slowing the EFC party, or peeling for team healers. When it comes time to kill the EFC, the rogue joins the fray, drops Bomb, things die...repeat. If your rogue is a dedicated node camper, you could consider it, but again, imo speed and insta-restealth are too important. Since RBGs are in a much larger playing field where speed and mobility are even more important, dropping the 3 in CD for Nightstalker and a point or 2 in Waylay will serve you better in most instances. My rogue zips around the bgs at 132% stealthed. I can get just about anywhere I need to be in a hurry....AND...while I cant prove this, my added speed boost stealthed seems to improve my stealth. I can get into other places much easier than the "slow" rogues. I know that during the leveling process, CD gives you an extra couple of seconds to score a kill. I can see the charm in that, but very rarely in RBGs or in lvl 85 duels do I think that if I would of had CD things would of worked out better for me or that I really, really, needed it. |
