Faded Dreams Birthday Celebrations 2/14-2/16

Faded Dreams was formed on 2/16/2005 by Psoriasis, Gyeran, Blak, and Emoo. Faded Dreams has actively raided since creation date at max capacity. The guild decided to open up our birthday celebrations to the server, this is your invitation to attend the events detailed below. Faded Dreams guild members will be participating in the events and will be eligible for the purses. The judges of the games will not be eligible for their designated event. All events will be recorded by Faded Dreams judges and volunteers in order to compile a video of the events. All the event purses are paid for by Faded Dreams Members and will continue to grow as more of our raiders and possible outside sources add to the purses. Please read the rules and descriptions listed below as they may be updated/changed prior to the events. |

RUMBLE IN THE JUNGLE
Tuesday 2/14/2012 at 11:59PM (server time) we will be hosting a mass PvP free for all in the Gurubashi Arena in Stranglethorn Vale. OPEN TO BOTH FACTIONS PURSE REWARD: 80,000 Gold (and climbing) Description: At midnight (server time) the yell will go out for the treasure chest in the Gurubashi Arena. This is a mass PvP free for all. Solo/Groups/Teams are allowed. The individual who loots the chest will be the winner of the reward money. This event will be FRAPSed. Rules: None If the chest despawns before it can be looted, the reward money will be rolled into the other two events. In order to collect your reward you must contact the Judges of the event after winning the chest. Horde faction contacts will be: Celticdruid or Akimash. Alliance faction contact will be fdalliance. You will be required to have a Horde toon in order to accept the purse. If the winner is alliance, please whisper your horde name to the alliance alt of the judges to confirm before logging over. Taras is the winner for Rumble in the Jungle. |

Playing Thermonuclear War on WOPR: AKA WARGAMES
Wednesday 2/15/2012 at 4:00PM (server time) we will be hosting a 3v3 double elimination War Games competition. OPEN TO BOTH FACTIONS ENTRANCE FEE: NO MORE ENTRANCE FEE WOOOOO!!!!! PURSE REWARD: 56,400 gold for first place, 28,200 gold for second place, and 9,400 gold to third place. All teams must be registered before 12:00PM Tuesday 2/15/2012 2. Teams are allowed one substitution, who must be registered before the above time 3. A player may not be a substitute for more than one team, as well, they may not substitute if they are already part of a main team. 4. The winning team must take a screenshot of the end match screen to verify a win. 5. To keep the spirit of honorable competition, stalemates caused by sustain teams will result in both teams losing 6. The arena will be determined 5 minutes before each match by an ingame /roll. No re rolls will be allowed. In order to collect your reward you must contact the Judge of the event after winning the matches. Horde faction contact will be: Celticdruid. Alliance faction contact will be fdalliance. THE GREAT RACE
Thursday 2/16/2012 at 5:00PM (server time) we will be hosting a LEVEL 1 ORC race from the starting area to a zone/city that will announced when the race begins. PURSE REWARD: 109,000 Gold (and climbing) You will need to create a level one Orc. You will race at the appointed time of 5:00 server from the starting area to a destination told to you at the start time of the race. Rules: 1. You must be a level one Orc when you start the race. 2. You must be unguilded: you will be required to join a Level One guild at the event. 3. You will be removed from the event if you use flight paths. 4. I dont think it needs to be said but anyone using underground fly/hacking will be removed. 5. BOAs/Enchants are not allowed. 6. Summons are not allowed. 7. The use of two seater mounts are prohibited 8. You cannot be in a group, the judges will randomly invite you to ensure you are not. If you are unavailable to accept the group invite the FIRST time it's given, you will be disqualified. 9. No buffs/auras may be given by other players to your level 1 Orc toon. We ask all players watch your teammates and Screen Shot the offending player's buffs. 10. Ghost Running is prohibited. 11. You must be a 'resident' of Blackhand in order to accept the purse. AKA your main must be on Blackhand, toon activity will be checked. 12. Potions/food/or any item/food buff/use is prohibited. 13. You cannot be resurrected by another player. The first participant to open trade with the Judge at the end point will win. This event will be FRAPSed, judges will look back through the recording to ensure the rules were met. Technically 12am or one minute after 11:59 pm. Most server raids end between 10pm and 11pm. 3pm is too early for a Tuesday. 6 and 9 fall during high raid times. |

As to The Great Race, I believe a rule regarding heirloom gear or any non starting gear is in need of being addressed.
