Ive been banging my head at this all day now several gm tickets and several forum threads and posts
nobody can give me a real answer the original gear was incredibly hard to get so blizzard doesn't just want just anyone to be running around in it. it only retains most of its leetness with being illusive the point is you have to have earned it pvping in vanilla wow to be able to transmogrify it now the only problem I have with the current system is that I earned half the pieces gloves boots shoulders and robe and cannot transmogrify it the reason being that I have to have not made the knight captain rank (rank 9) but only made knight lieutenant (rank 8) pretty lame I think. It was a tremendous amount of work for somone who was 14 at the time |

This goes along the same lines as the "why can't we transmog legendaries" threads. This is just Bliz pandering to the special snowflake crowd to let them flex their e-peens at all the lowly peons who've not been playing this game since Beta. It's not changing, and not going to change. I'd advise finding another set to 'mog into.
