Greymane horde is a ghost town. It's rare to see 50 people in Org even during prime time anymore. :(

Which means it's about normal ratios again, as it's been like that since Vanilla for the most part. We had a surge of ally to horde transfers not that long ago, but the numbers dwindled back down it seems.

The surge of ally to horde was basically FBHT x-ferring over and since this is now a low-pop server it seemed like a lot.

The essential death of TA as a 25-man raiding guild really breaks the last straw that Greymane had going for it, and it means there are more x-fers off. I know they're trying, but we need to be realistic... no one wants to come to our dead server anymore. This server is now a very good candidate for a merge.

It's not a secret that I plan on pulling Burn Phase off the server for MoP if I decide to keep running it. More and more of my members are complaining about the abysmal quality of pugs and lack of a decent server economy. Heck, I had 2 of my core guys (guys who actually parse on WoL) join a normal FL guild run (I'll spare the guild name from embarassment) last week on alts that couldn't kill Beth'tilac.

It's primarily Horde that's dying off. It's been dying off since late BC, and was mostly dead by the time Ulduar came out. TA made it look alive, at least enough for some people to get benefits out of it (hint: Divide, but really only them), but I remember complaining how bad Horde was when I ran this guild. It wasn't much better than now.

Alliance hasn't really changed from when I raided there. I mean, yeah sure Phoenix died, but the loss turned out to be pretty unsubstantial.

my censusplus shows 14200 alliance characters active in past 30 days...at level range 10-85 I believe. maybe its 1-85 or 5-85. point si, this is not 85-only. about 50% are 85s though so about 7200 alliance 85s online in past 30 days while i was online.

in wolk peak time alliance census showed about 2000 chars, now its about 1200. so decline is considerable but not...catastrohpic alliance-side. yet.

I honestly do hope I'm wrong about it, you guys being around as a progression 25 does nothing but good for the server, but seeing as you guys haven't had more than a handful of progression pulls on 25, and have run 10s for most of the year, I'm not holding my breath.

Our current recruitment posts say we had some attendance issues awhile back but still tried to push 25s. We really don't like 10s. But it's hard to recruit these days-- most everyone wants 10s, higher ranking, PST, alliance, late night, all French Canadian, that sort of thing.

So we put it off as long as we could, but recently started doing 10s to gain a more respectable ranking in order to attract recruits. It's gone well so far, cleared most of the heroic bosses in a short time. A couple more spots & we can return back to 25s where we belong.

Although I understand how things would appear to someone with an outside perspective, I wouldn't presume to declare the death of any guild unless I was privy to the details. Especially if they're trying to recruit atm. ;)

At any rate, good luck to us all. The server is only as dead as we make it.

all French Canadian

I'm surprised people actually advertise for that on the official forums when there's a French community forum known by just about everyone who cares enough to search that lists every single guild in that realm of interest.

Funny part to add is that in the bigger cases, once you get into one of those guilds you can join one of the retardedly numerous amount of raid groups they have without having to guildswap -- one of those guilds has 29 registered 10-mans within the same guildtag. (that's excluding the 25s groups they have)
