The Birth of the Harbingers

Hi all, Orusc here.
Some of you may know me as the last Guild Master of the Warsong Outriders and lead officer in a few others. I noticed that besides Knights of Menethil, which is a guild I duly respect, there have been no other Ebon Blade based guilds that were successful out there. Well, I plan to fix that; I've already formed an Horde-side Ebon Blade guild called 'Harbingers of Vengeance' with several active members now and still growing. I've opened my doors to any Death Knight level 60 and above that has at least some kind of decent RP skill, for those that don't, I'm more than glad to help with that (provided you aren't the 'Son of Arthas' or 'Lost red dragon born of Genn Greymane's handmaidens'). But it isn't just Death Knights who have a chance to join the guild; obviously a single class guild is a very hard thing to accomplish and requires considerable patience and effort to form, as well as members willing to go that distance. So, just as well, Harbingers of Vengeance also allows Warlocks of any calibur, priests who will be indoctrinated with ability in the art of shadow if they so choose, Warriors who will be indoctrinated as 'Dark-touched' as seen in Naxxramas, Mages who would be indoctrinated as Blood Mages, just as well, if they so choose. Hunters and Rogues, depending on their race have the choice of becoming 'Dark Rangers' and 'Dark Ranger Assassins' or 'Black Archers' and 'Shadewalkers'. Of course though, there are the three classes that would make absolutely no sense in a guild like this, those classes are Paladins, Druids and Shaman. I apologize for that for all you folks who like to play the good ol' 'Hippies' and 'Righteous vanquishers of evil'. The purpose behind the guild itself, for its IC reasons, is centered around the ascension of promising and potential Knights as well as well rounded Champions into the true Champions and Warbringers of the Ebon Blade. The guild itself is also a way to help a character's story along, be it from lowly initiate to Plague Champion or a Knight who's found his calling as a Scourgelord. The name was derived from two things: As we should all know, a Harbinger is a 'bringer' of something, be it war, happiness, sorrow, anything. Vengeance as derived from what the Ebon blade itself was founded on. The Harbingers of Vengeance, thus become the greatest weapon against the foes of the Ebon blade. If you have any questions or specific interests on the guild, feel free to ask me. Suffer well, forums. -- 'Success is measured in blood. Yours, or your enemies' |

Finally. The last Horde-Death Knight guild was led by Mustadar, and I enjoyed the DK guild very, very much.
Good luck! |

May our foes look upon us and know despair..

Of course an all-DK guild is difficult - that is half the attraction!
Still. We look upon this with interest, high above in our Saronite towers. /fingersteeple |

If ever there was a time I wish I had a spare Horde alt, this would be it.
As it is I'll be watching. Maybe I'll find a reason to dump one of my 2 characters in here and revitalize my Horde stuff. |

We all know who ran you through those dungeons, Eig. Shush, son.

Every time I read the word Harbinger, I think Harbringer, because my mind thinks it sounds better.

Update:
The first official indoctrination of two non-Death Knight members has taken place now. Within our ranks are two Dark Touched Warriors and a new Elven Dark Ranger. The guild has now reached fourteen members and growing with nine actives and four who have proven particularly active and contributory as well. We're doing good so far, people; let's keep it up! |
