People have to be nice and kind IRL at their jobs, with friends, everything. In a world of anonymity you can let go and blow off steam that has built up from other things.

It sounds like the people that you describe have issues. Serious issues.

Issues that won't be fixed playing a video game.

All people are jerks unless forced not to be, whether by conscience, necessity, their guildmaster, or their boss.

Sometimes in this game there is no force. If there is no incentive to be nice, guaranteed that the guy will not be nice.

Why? Seems simple to me really. . .my 12 year old gets it. . . Why can't a bunch of people who are PLAYING A GAME "get it"?

You don't HAVE to be nice, although it's always a good thing to be, IMHO. However, you should be polite and respectful of others, whether in a video game or in your own life.
