I'm pretty much an Affliction-only player, so I'm going to list my opinion of it:

The Bad

1. I don't like how Harvest Life was removed from Empowered Channeling and how it now replaces Drain Life. I don't think a talent should have the penalty of removing a ranged attack. I'm aware of Malefic Grasp, but there are definitely times you want to gain health from range while also dealing damage.

2. Mannoroth's Fury. I really question the purpose of this talent. Tanks are supposed to round up the mobs before you AoE them, and in PvP I can't see the other level 90 options not being superior in every way.

3. Soul Harvest is gone? :(

4. I don't really like our level 88 ability Demonic Gateway. It benefits our team but not us, unless you really want to spend 20 seconds setting up your PvP fight instead of 5 (Demonic Circle)

5. Fel Flame only increases the duration of Corruption. Adds some annoyance to casting Unstable Affliction, but I guess it's the price of Haunt and Shadow Embrace being gone. Speaking of...

The Good

1. A new cast time DoT, Malady, to replace the utter pain of Haunt. I hated Haunt, there was nothing fun about it or Shadow Embrace

2. Twilight Ward also absorbs Holy damage in addition to Shadow. It really fits the Warlock theme to counter Holy damage.

3. Curse of Enfeeblement is still crazy powerful, which makes me wonder when the nerf is coming to it.

4. The Nightfall change to modifier and improve Malefic Grasp is great.

5. Unending Resolve for our much needed general defense cooldown.

6. I'm kind of neutral about it, but the Dark Intent change to just be a 10% SP buff to the raid will be quite helpful in 10-man raids.

My concern is the numbers around the Aura being given to Meta. 30% attack and cast speed reduction? That's better than the tank debuffs by far. If Meta isn't permanent, that'll be fine for clutch situations, but talk about woah.

We might also be reading the portal thing differently. Gateway doesn't seem to have a duration aside from a check on how quickly it can be used (every 15 seconds, up to five times). My question is if it is a two-part cast, or whether it'll spit party members out into your Circle. Cast Gateway here and here, or cast Circle, then a Gateway between 20-70 yards away?

I don't know much about the lock changes but from reading comprehension I gather:

Malady is only a beginner spell and replaced once you get either corruption or immolate.

Metamorphosis is not permanent.

The Curse of Enfeeblement does seem way OP in its current form, especially with Meta using it as an aura (RBGs much?)

Demonic Portal & Gateway are two different spells setup differently as well, without other information I would read these as being separate and both usable together. In practice I doubt that will be the case and yes would make the Gateway better for larger team fights (3s maybe, 5s and RBGs definitely)

Demonic Gateway has five initial charges, used whenever you (or anyone) would like but it only refreshes one charge every 15 secs up to a maximum of five (I would guess)

Unending Resolve is crazy good seeing as it is baseline for all locks. 50% damage redux without penalty? are you kidding me?

That's what I have looked at so far anyway.

EDIT: Oh Soul Harvest maybe gone (because resources are different anyway) but now you have a channeled anytime spell that restores health and does AoE damage... yeah that sux.

Harvest Life=AoE Drain Life. It's also stronger, granting 4%/s instead of 2%/s.

Manaroth's Fury will be great in PvP, allowing your Rain of Fire to cover 3x as much area as before. Imagine the damage you will be shelling out, especially since you won't have to channel it in Destro spec.

Soul Harvest didn't really DO anything, only regained shards, which will be exclusively in Affliction in MoP.

Demonic Gateway is not only useful in PvP but PvE as well, allowing raid members to move quickly if need be. And you still have Teleport.

If you're using Fel Flame to refresh UA then you're a bad player. It should only be used when you are being forced to move, all your DoTs are up, and you have high enough mana.

Haunt is awesome. It heals you and increases damage done, what's not to like?

Nether Ward absorbs all magic damage. Removing it is a bad thing.

I would write more, but I gotta go.

Harvest Life - Now drains the life from all enemies within 15 yards of the target, causing 107 Shadow damage and restoring 4% of the caster's total health every 1 sec. Lasts 6 sec. Replaces Drain Life. 40yd Range

The way I'm interpreting it, Harvest Life is still able to be used at range, the 15yds comes from the target you're using the spell on. Taking the talent trades Drain Life's single-target damage for increased self-healing and an AoE effect.

It's worth adding that it's been confirmed Harvest Life won't break CCed targets. We've yet to see if that's all CC or certain types (poly, for example), though.

If Harvest's 15 yards is around your primary target who is up to 40 yards away, that is pretty nice. And knowing it won't break CC is AWESOME.

Harvest is the main reason I would look at taking Mannoroth. But I am waiting to see if Kiljaeden has too large of a penalty, and if it works on non-spells (mobile mount casting alone makes it worthwhile to me if it works).

Other than that, I am primarily Demonology, so can't say much since EVERYTHING that I care about needs more details to talk about at all (uptime for Meta, stats for pets...)

Mounting while standing would still be faster in the long run than moving while mounting, since it will take twice as long, and that time could be spent flying.

In this age of balance and homogenization, and with almost every class being able to self heal, the idea that warlocks do the same damage with similar utilities to the other dps classes, but having to pay for it with health is just making a class pay for it's history with no real advantage to that disadvantage caused.
