((Yep....one of my usual holiday threads. Sorry im a day late for valentines, but its better late then never. This is basically a tavern rp in the 'Love is in the air' Wow holiday...))
In the hinterlands there is a tavern nestled outside of the forests. From the outside it would seem kind of large, two story. Decorations were strung across the front door and heart lamps were sitting along the outside porch like stand that would glow red in the darkness to light it up with lovely cheer. The door handle is also shaped into a heart. Inside was dazzled with cupids, heart chairs, romantic wines and beverages, and also foods that were prepared in the kitcen by her cheffs named Jim and Barry who were twin brothers along with a young blood elf named Lahara who was a excellent cook but didnt like to show it. The rooms on the upstairs were the natural rooms youd see at a normal tavern on the right side, on the left were rooms that were larger for young or old couples who wanted to have a romantic time. Candles, soft sheets, chairs, and miniature fire places were in each one. The building was almost perfect for a couples get away. The owner of the tavern, was no other then Kaylvana. She has had a bumpy past and doesn't like to discuss it with anyone. But on the holidays she trys to be as cheerful as she can. Instead of the average clothes a tavern keeper would wear she wore a red dress made of silk that drap-ed down her body as a more of a elegance. Long white drawn out hair ran down her back, complementing her dress clothing choice. The only problem about this particular holiday is she has no lover to share it with. Nor has she had one for the past fifty years. However, love could be around the corner and she has always been waiting for it. For the moment, she sat at a stool with a glass of wine in her hand taking a few drinks. The sooth beverage helped calm her and settle her nerves a little. (( btw, for anyone interested kaylvana is looking for a lover....could be your chance for your special character to have a relationship ;P )) |

(Just want to say, my toons story is a bit strange.)
Kremu flies through the cold days air hoping for a rest soon. He sees an inn that has a strange appearence. He shrugs and flaps his red wings to get inside the door. Before landing he retracts his wings into his purple robes and hides his beaked face with a hood. ((Just to give you a good idea of what he looks like, here:Kremu is a blood elf mage that had an unfortunate accident with an arcane experiment with a parrot. He is six feet tall and the skin that shows is a pale white. He has two large red wings that come out from his shoulderbaldes, allowing him to fly. His face is pointed and finnally curved into a beak, like a giant parrots beak, and his head is now flattened out making it look like a parrots and a twirled red feather on the top of his head(like in the game, with the parrots in booty bay) his eyes on different sides of his head. Red feathers adorn his body. His torso and legs remained relatively unchanged by the magic, except for the red downy feathers that now cover his body, his arms and legs covered in white down and being some what scaly(like a birds feet but his arms to). His arms are pale gray and scaly with five clawed fingers on each hand(pretty much same thing for feet). He also has scarlet red and blue tail feathers.)) Kremu walks up to the counter making sure to hide his face. He sits at the bar and asks the night elf woman he sees sitting, "Do you know where the owner is? I want to know how much a room and some dinner costs. I've been fly-I mean wandering for awhile and am quite tired." |

"Your looking at the owner. And if you havent noticed its the holiday, no point in covering your face up in a hood. Its time to be happy and have a good time. But anyway, a room comes in two different styles. You got your typical normal room for one gold or you can get a special romantic room for ten gold, but id recommend it for couples in love. Food is only from ten, twenty, or thirty silver depending on how big you want the meal. Drinks are ten silver for cheap drinks, fifty for expensive ale or wine."

Vorandria walked along the stone path, (her usually black) Warstrider, Arrow, followed close behind his coal-black feathers now bright pinks and reds.
"I'll kill that mage if I ever see him again!" she grumbled her teeth chattering slightly as she walked through the cool air in her black leather armor. The Blood Elf had left Arrow outside a tavern the day before, when a rather devious Goblin mage had spotted him and coloured his feathers to match the Love is in the Air holiday. Vora was often know for disliking the season, perhaps because she never had anyone to share it with. Adjusting her bag, which her sister had packed for her before sending her off on 'vacation' in the hinterlands, she thought it was rather light, but having promised not to open it before she reached the Inn, she resisted the urge to peak. "Well Arrow I suppose we are here." She told the Hawkstrider pointing up the path at a rather brightly decorated inn. The large bird cooed, ruffling his newly coloured feathers, almost as if he was laughing at the bright pink hearts adorning the Inn. "Oh be quiet you!." She snapped "I should have know my lovely sister would send me to a place like this! You also know it wasn't my fault you look like that Arrow! There was no need to make me walk the last mile.." she growled her mood darkening the closer she got. Leaving Arrow to find his way to a stable, or a place to rest, on his own, she grabbed the handle of the door swinging it open and stepping into the inn. The whole inside was covered with hearts and cupids and there was a night elf in a long red dress talking to a rather odd looking person near the bar. The pink glow of the inn lit up her fairly pretty features and long ears, while sort of hiding the scars near her left eye and bottom lip. her long black hair had been pulled up into a ponytail for the journey, and her bright red nails matched her scarlet lipstick perfectly. She was hot in her black leather pants, and top that bore her shoulders, and a strip of midriff, and a few tattoos peeked out from under her top near her stomach and a rose was displayed on her shoulder. Sitting down in the first chair she saw she waited for the Innkeeper to be finished with the rather...odd..looking patron. |
|
Kremu nods slightly and slowly takes off his head. He hoped the woman would not run from his bird like features. "Thank you" he says to the elf and places the money for a normal room, a small meal, and a drink on the bar table in front of the woman. "I hope my appearance does not scare any other patrons away ma'm. I tend to have that effect on people." Kremu lets his wings come out of his robes slits and he grimaces slightly as the muscles get aquanted with their position. While they may be fully functionel wings, he still had old blood elf muscles that were constantly becoming cramped due to the extra weight of appendages that were not supposed to be there. Kremu sits at the bar awaiting for a bartender or waiter to come and take his order.
|
|
"Please, ive seen demons uglier then that. Their green drool with all their destruction and ugly maws they call mouths. A few bird features is just unique to me but it is different. But hell, no ones perfect in this world ha ha." Taking the money and putting it into a lower drawer she went to the back where the kitchen was, gave them the orders and went back outside. Grabbing a key off the rack she placed it in front of the strange man. "Ill be right back." Kaylvana glanced over at the bloodelf sitting down near the entrance of the tavern. Walking out of the bar space she went over to her. "What do you need?" Kaylvana repeated the usual menu that was to be ushered to patrons.

The rogue had been studying the various heart-shaped decorations covering the Inn. Turning towards the elven Innkeeper she jumped in her seat, the red jewel on one of her daggers bumping against the chair and making a rather loud clanging noise.
The odd-looking Blood Elf? had now removed his hood, and seemed to resemble her Hawkstrider more than an Elf. Shocked she picked her bag up and slung it over her shoulder, ready to leave, but her weariness from walking so long, and itchy armor convinced her to stay. Looking up at the Innkeeper who had walked towards her she regained her composure. "I'd like a regular room." the coolness of her usual voice had left with the shock of the Bird-Elf. Fumbling for her gold she pulled out a gold coin for the Innkeeper, nearly dropping it. |
|
In a hushed voice she said "Its not polite to stair at people that have rather....special deformations. If you got a problem with it id suggest you leave no, because hes going nowhere unless he feel needs to." Grabbing the gold coin she smiled and said "Good day." And walked off to the bar and dropped the coin into the drawer.

Kremu gave a small smile to the woman and said, "Thank you. Most people run from the sight of me." He heard a scuffling of feet and turned to see a female blood elf staring at him befroe speaking to the owner of the inn. He swiftly turned back to the bar glad his feathers hid his blushing face. Even before the accident Kremu had always had trouble speaking to woman of his own kind. He scratched a spot on his arm, a habit he does whenever he is either nervous or thinking extremely hard. A large gust of wind blows into the inn and causes his feathers to puff out. Kremu smooths his feathers and strains to keep his wings clamped to his back, the wind making them in danger of flapping them around. He gets up and walks over to a table away from any windows or doors. He pulls a very worn looking book out of his robes and starts to read where he last left off. 'The aracane energies can affect the body as well as the mind...'

((Well now, isn't that impressive? Hai Kay!! *waves semi-maniacally* You get to meet Tristan...Which you might have already done...)) Allaynna & Tristan In the cool, night air, two shadowy forms flew through the sky. As the duo approached the inn, the forms resolved themselves into two skeletal gryphons, one adorned with paper hearts by some acquaintance with a sense of humor. Two voices called back to each other, barely audible over the rushing of the cold air. Neither person seemed bothered by the chill night, and an onlooker would have seen the larger person point, directing their mount to the ground outside the inn. As skeletons touched the ground, two death knights vaulted off the beasts, simultaneously dismissing their mounts and shouldering swords. In the fading light from the porch, one was revealed to be a female, wearing lighter, silver and bronze plate. The other was clearly male, and clad in black plate struck through with blues. The woman bore a large broadsword, the man wore two blades at his waist, one slightly longer and green tinged, the other coated with an icy sheen. Nodding to the man, the woman stepped into the inn, the brighter lights inside casting her prettily thin face into sharp relief. Pulling her helmet off, her copper hair was pulled up in a messy bun, bangs hanging loose above her glowing blue eyes. Allaynna Kidrain put on a smile, dragging her mind into the present. Giving a small wave to Kaylvana, she eyed her companion who had followed her in. The man was tall, standing just over six feet in height, he towered over Allaynna's shorter five feet four inches. His armor seemed to absorb the light rather than reflect it. Taking his helm off and tucking it under one arm, he ran a plated hand through short, black hair. His handsome face was marred by a single scar that ran down his right cheek, wrapping around his chin. Blue eyes shining in the light, he flashed a smile at Allaynna, his white teeth showing brightly against his tan skin. Touching his shoulder, Allaynna said, "Tristan, let's sit." "Aye," came the reply, the echoing tones deep, "We will stay here for the night, do you know the barkeeper?" "Yeah, that's Kaylvana," raising her voice, Allaynna called, "Kay! We'll have two Dwarven Stouts and a room for the night!" |
|
Kaylvana looked over to where Allaynna had called, but something was different about this time...... It took her a minute to figure out what it was. A rather large man was with her, someone she hasnt seen before. Past memorys flooded back of where Allaynna had worn a wedding ring before. Kaylvana walked over to Allaynna with a sly grin. "So, this was the young man you were keeping from me huh? He seems rather charming." Kaylvana winked at Tristan just to tease Allaynna. "For this holiday, we have a special room for 'lovers'. Its a large romantic room with candles and a small fireplace and the whole nine yards. Only ten gold if you want one."

Humph she thought, as the shock wore off and her usual snarky self returned. Raising on eyebrow at the Night Elf as she walked back to the bar, she closed the buckle on her bag and walked towards the stairs.
"I'm rather curious as to how he got that way.." she mumbled to herself pausing at the foot of the stairs to turn towards where the other Blood Elf had sat down. Her curiosity taking over she flashed him a small smile, as she turned and walked up the stairs, hearing the door open as two Death Knights entered. Reaching her room, she placed her bag on the bed, and began to take off her itchy leather armor. Opening the flap, and then drawstrings on the top of her bag, she emptied the contents onto the bed. "Ohhh I should have know...." she groaned. She and her sister might be twins, but are far from alike. Her sister was a priest, with long blonde hair she always wore down, and was the flirt of the two. She had packed Vora a number of flowy, flirty dresses in blue, black, red, and a lacy pink one. There was a set of pretty black sandals and a pair of silver ones meant to go nicely with each dress, as well as a bottle of her sister's 'Enchantress' perfume. "I suppose I'll have to wear one of these.." she grimaced, pulling the black one on. The small piece of leather holding her hair up, snapped, leaving her hair to flow down her back. "My luck!." she cried, bending over to pick up the two pieces of broken leather and trying to tie them back together. |

After travling for quite awhile through the Hinterlands, Tearahlinda finally found a place to rest for the night. Her hunt, had been quite tiring and she needed a place to stay for the night. Padding along side her, was her large, white tiger Zeborah. As the Huntress made her way to the door of the inn, she couldent help but notise the decorations lining the entrence. She let out a sigh and shrugged "Wonderful... I had to be alone, on THIS holiday? Oh well... Come on, Zeborah." she said quietly, before opening the door and stepping inside. Her tiger, following close at her heels.
As she slowly made her way accross the room, notised Allaynna and Tristan. She then turned away with a soft sigh, as she found and empty table and sat down. She brushed a lock of her gold blonde hair out of her emerald eyes, as she leaned back in her chair. She glanced over at the odd Blood Elf mage. She tilted her head curiously at him, before looking back down at Zeborah. The large cat nuzzled her leg, clearly wanting attention. The Huntress gave a small smile at the cat leaning sideways in her chair, as she was gently stroking the tiger's soft smooth fur. The Huntress wore light brown leather armor, as well as a light tan hunting cloak. A well crafted bow hung from her back. A curved, war knife was sheathed in one side of her belt. After a moment she sat up in her chair, while she dug through her bag. She pulled out a small leather covered jernal, a closed bottle of ink and a quill. She swiftly pulled the quirk off the bottle of ink and lightly dipped the tip of the quill in the ink. She opened her jernal to a clear page, as she then began wrighting to pass the time. Meanwhile, Zeborah was lounging quietly and contently near her mistress' chair. |

Kremu looked up from his book and saw the two deathknights walk in. Kremu laughed, a somewhat quite yet obvious chirping noise, when the night elf made a joke about the man being kept from her. He quickly looked back to his book so as to not draw attention to himself. A few minutes later a human man brought out Kremu's food and he gave the man a few silver tip. Kremu picked at the small biscuit and salad with a clawed hand and before long he was finished. Kremu decided it wouldnt hurt to have a few drinks and walked over to the owner who was still talking to the death knights, his claws *click clacking* on the hard wood floor. As he walked over he noticed another blood elf woman and made sure not to look at her directly in fear of embarressing himself."Excuse me ma'm. I was wondering if I could have some of that wine you mentioned. How much was it again?" He asked as he pulled out his rather bulky money purse. He rewarded himself with a small smile, glad that even though he was stuck in this form Dalaran had still funded him for research, but then again he should probably not tell them that he was spending some on drinks.

The Blood Elf dropped the broken pieces on the bed, and pulled the pair of black sandals on. Rummaging through the pile of clothes on her bed, she found a brush, and brushed her long black hair out so it fell around her shoulders. Spraying some perfume into a corner of the room, so it would look like she had used it, she placed it back in her bag.
Picking up her daggers, she fingered the blood-red jewels on the hilt of each dagger and slipped them into a leather straps she had made to fit around each of her legs so she could always keep her daggers close, and then walked towards the mirror on the other side of the room, somewhat afraid to see what she looked like. Looking in the mirror on the wall , she picked up a bit of her hair and let it fall back down onto her shoulder. "I'll kill her when I get back! I bet shes at home in Silvermoon, laughing at the though of me in a dress, with my hair down." She grumbled. Her sister Alianthia had always told her to get out more and be more girly, but this time she seemed to be indirectly forcing her. Walking out of her room, she closed the door and locked it, slipping the key in a small bag she had found inside her larger one. Walking down the stairs of the inn, she noticed a Blood Elf hunter had walked in, and that there were two Death Knights talking to the Innkeeper. Walking towards a table in the back, she sat down, pulling out her daggers and placing one in her bag, while checking the other one for signs of a crack in the jewel. |

Kremu is busliy pulling out some coind from his coin purse when the other female blood elf from earlier walks by but this time in a much more revealing outfit. As she walks by Kremu stumbles with his coins and drops a few on the floor. "Uh-um-I-ah-sorry" he stutters and picks them back up. He makes sure to keep his eyes downcast as he hands the money to a man at the bar and takes a glass with a small bottle of the wine. Sitting back down and pouring his drink into his glass he makes sure to keep the red liquid from spilling from his beak. He gulps back a few beakfulls and sighs contentedly. Kremu looks around the room and he see's the black dress clad woman again. Kremu gulps and steels himself. Walking over he says to her, "I'm sorry but I coul-dnt he-lp but notice that y-ou seem a bit distressed. Is th-ere anything wr-ong?" he asks, his voice a bit shaky, hoping that his wings were'nt puffing there crimson feathers as they usually do when he's nervous.

Looking up from examining her dagger, she sees that the birdlike elf from earlier is talking to her, his voice rather shaky. She smiled at him not sure what to say.
"Well you see..I bumped my dagger on something, and its fractured the jewel. I could use a jewelcrafter right about now..." She smiled at him again, placing the dagger on the table for him to see. Hearing a tapping noise on the window, she looks over to see her Hawkstrider tapping his beak rather loudly on the window. "Arrow! Be quiet!" She yelled at the Hawkstrider "I told you to behave on this trip before we left didn't I?" She sighed as Arrow strutted away from the window. "Arrow's got a bit of an attitude problem.." she grumbled annoyed at her mount's behaviour. "Would you like to sit?" she asked gesturing to an empty chair. |

((hey kaylvana i couldn't help but come on in here after our last lil meeting.)) |
