I totally forgot I was in frost gear when I got into a WoE at the 2nd boss. Hardly took no damage though and was top damage sadly. I swapped to tank gear after the boss though since I got pulled into a in progress one lol.
Makes me miss dual weild tanking a lot :( |

The new heroics are not challenging.
I've tanked them in full DPS gear since the day they were released, as I'm sure plenty of other tanks do (not specifically DKs, but especially DKs). You can practically get away with anything. |

i tanked rag in dps gear 2 days ago .. i totally forgot to switch the gear.
I just found it weird when i had a str trinket when i tried to use it. And the fact that i was beating people on dps .. so yeah... heroics are really not challenging anymore ... but sure, you can have fun dw tanking in that content. Every now and then i dw with a  Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker on the OH .. just for the lulz.

Now that I would notice as most abilities won't work with a fishing pole: SotR, HotR, CS, Templar's Verdict, Divine Storm, etc. Basically any ability that requires a melee weapon (or shield) turns red with a fishing pole equipped. |

Don't recall any of a druids abilities requiring a melee weapon off the top of my head. |

I think I tanked more heroics with a fishing pole in 3.0 than I did with an actual weapon.

Haha. I know we had a boomkin in wrath that would notice she had a fishing pole equipped after our weekly ICC raid was over. She told me her first LK kill was done with a fishing pole lol. |

I tanked full DS with HM-Morchok 2 weeks in Monkey form.
A new guildie wanted to film it, cuz he came from some crappy server, and was using the video to convince all his buddies to come over. Since I'ma prima-donna, I do well on camera. Tank-wise. Only downside was when I asked to wait a couple times for the cd to refresh. You can imagine it wasn't our fastest run. They need to make the monkey trinket on a shorter cd!!!! Stupid  Super Simian Sphere

I almost tanked Rag as a bear in resto gear before.
Didn't take much more damage than the pally tank either. |

I liked to queue into random 5 mans in Wrath in a full Summer Solstice set. That was always fun.

Everyone posting here might goof around with gear but they still do the basics of using cooldowns, spreading debuffs and keeping mobs in front. What should make you sad is people who aern't goofing around (intentionally, at least) and are much, much worse tanks. |
