Dual Weilding DK Tanks... Why abolish them?

Why did you have to take that away? Why not place Threat of Thessarian on the bottom tier of Frost so Blood DKs could have their right to weapons with tanking stats? If we could have the option of getting Threat of Thessarian and Nerves of Cold Steel, we could choose which we'd like to do (DW or 2H), and to have that choice would not only add a slight diversity to the boring, cookie-cutter ways of DKs right now, but also make a lot of DKs happy, including myself.
Please, someone with power notice this. :) EDIT: I'm done on this post. Cry at will, I'm gone. <3 |

Why? If they still haven't noticed it by now it should still be mentioned.
Explain yourself? |

2-Handers work just fine.
Don't fix what ain't broke. |

Blizzard isn't outright saying you can't DW tank. They just aren't going out of their way to support it. There's no reason to. The only thing DW tanking accompishes is making shield tanks have to compete with DK tanks for weapons, and let's face it, you're only there so we don't have to compete as much and we couldn't find a druid.
OK, that was a little harsh, but really, there's no reason to actively support DW tanking. And besides, they damn well better give Enhancement back supported 2H before they give DKs supported DW tanking. |

Look, (this is more towards the first few commenters, the ones who blatantly just said "no" and attempted to dismiss me) I don't give a rats !@# how many people have beaten this dead horse, I deserve my chance to voice my opinion, WITHOUT people being so rude to me.
Okay.
Two-handers work, yes. But overall the stats from dual wielding would be better for us imo.
There is a reason, imo. The benefits from more tanking stats. No, it's not needed, but it would be nice. And I agree, 2h Enhance should be supported.
Answered in this comment already. |
Not significantly so. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/3881712442#11 Also a DPS loss. http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/968396860?page=37#739 Capable, sure, but not supported. Your damaging abilities are based off of weapon damage. 1H's just simply hit for less and the increase in auto-attacks don't make up for it. |

The benefit from tanking weapons would barely be noticeable.
2-Handers have more Mastery and Stamina, and we can reforge the other stat to something we can use. There's no good reason for us to be fighting shield tanks for weapons. |

And we have just as much right to point out that your opinion on this long-ago decided issue is neither new nor interesting, and you're about as likely to have a meteor fall on your head as change Blizzard's mind on the subject. Blizzard has decided for the sake of streamlining class balance that they will only support 2H tanking for DKs. That said, there's nothing preventing you from tanking with two weapons - there just won't be a significant amount of support in things like talents. Worst-case, you'll have lower threat and DPS than if you used a 2H. |
I have both a Paladin tank and a Warrior tank. I have gotten both of their shields and 1h's with extreme ease, and I have been passing on shields and 1h's for weeks, if not months now. I don't see the issue. |
Then RNG was your friend. Some tanks don't see a weapon upgrade for a month. Imagine how angry they'd be if a DK rolled on it when it finally dropped for his Blood OS. |
