The first iteration of the MoP talent calendars left a lot of classes pretty underwhelmed, mine among them. It seemed that we were mostly just getting our current talents re-packaged, but would have to pick which ones to lose. Not awesome at all.

But the new calculator has lots of genuinely new abilities. And in most brackets, I am having trouble deciding which one I prefer; I will legitimately be picking differently for different situations. Which is exactly what you intended.

So, credit where it is due. GG on the new talent trees. I am now genuinely excited to try them out, and looking forward to MoP far more than I was before.

I just want to second this. I think there's a lot still to be done, but I really like what I'm seeing so far. When it first came out, I was skeptical - there were a lot of "obvious" choices, and usually we ended up losing things that we had before no matter how you sliced it. Now we have new things, and playstyle/encounter determine what you take rather than the obvious "best power."

Paladin MoP talents are amazing. Very well done Blizzard. Holy Paladins for example will have cc along with "prep". Very cool overall, and looking forward to see what direction you take other classes.

I am a tad upset with blizzard, I really wanted Bloodbath and Stormbolt to be in different talent trees. If bloodbath ends up being more DPS than Stormbolt I'ma be a sad mountain King without one of his abilities!

Overall I can't wait to see what else is in store.

From a mage perspective, +1. New talents are amazingly amazing. For the mathematically inclined, that's amazing^2.

Too good if anything, I dont expect most of it to make it out of beta, or to be nerfed shortly after.

They are just trying to keep people interested

Can't wait to see the final iteration of the Hunter talents since they said they're still in heavy development, along with Shaman.

Our end tier is amazing. I always like Caitlyn so Power Shot is awesome. WTB Inferno Bomb!!

You can say you're in it, just not talk about what's in it.

Pulling spell ideas from MOBA games was brilliant on Blizzard's part.

I hope they give Warriors another pass, however I'm really liking my Hunter talents.

Now we know someone who works at Blizzard. They're usually more careful with that sort of info.

I agree completely, the new talents look great, i'm actually really excited to try them, and I think the best part is knowing they arn't complete yet, there may be new cool updates to top these already cool ones.

And people say change is scary :D

That being said I think paladin level 60 tier can use a liiiiiitle bit more tuning, and hammer of light needs to be made a little more appealing compared to the other two, and maybe fist of justice (I know it's nice, but in reality it's just a way of saying "lowers the cooldown on hammer of justice by 30 seconds) it's not unique.

More like "Now we know someone who was pretty obviously pulling everyone's chain"...Come on now, I know you're excited but don't get taken so easily :P.

I kinda like it too. Because in a sense, the true viability of a tree now relies WITHIN that tree and not because of important talent points.

What will break the trees is the set of spells in it, and not because of utility. At least if a talent point is useless, then it's dead for that bracket but doesn't affect the whole tree at all.

I'm thinking that most class specs MIGHT be viable in PvP (or close to) because of this.

This is probably true for most classes. But some will make it through the beta with amazing abilities, same as mages and rogues have all through Cata. Question is, which specs will Blizzard decide to make the flavor of the expansion. I am betting on mages and rogues again. Hunters will get some improvements and may actually be viable in arenas until they nerf them about a month into the expansion lol.

don't forget monks, they will make them OP to try and gain back some of the ~2 million they lost during cata.

First round of warrior talents looked the best, imo. Cripple was something I (and I assume many others) were looking forward to. Personally I think in the level 45 talent tier Piercing howl should be moved to baseline, and cripple should go in it's place. It'd give warriors a reason to take Staggering Shout, or let us choose between an AOE root, an AOE silence, or auto snare.
