So lets say me and my husband are both paying for separate accounts. Are we able to share them with each other since we are both paying and no one gains anything out of it. Is there any give to this rule?

It doesn't matter who pays for the account. Joe off the street could pay for your account, and it wouldn't be an issue.
However, only the person who's name that is on the account is allowed to play it (and one minor child whom they are the legal guardian of). There is no give on this rule. |

There is only one rule (and one exception).
Rule: No sharing of accounts, ever. Not between friends, spouses, siblings, roommates, no one. Period. One exception: a parent may let ONE MINOR CHILD of theirs play on their account. |

the rule is clearly no sharing accounts.
but realistically blizzard is not going to know if you or your husband is signing on to each others accounts. and i don't think they are really concerned about making that a high investigative priority. i think this rule is mainly in place in case their is a problem down the road they can always point at the rule. a couple gets divorced or something and they both want the toons they played. before i even i knew this was against the rules i had two accounts under one bnet account. one was not working even though it was paid for. so i called up blizzard i told them i was able to sign onto wow1 but wife cant sign onto wow2 they then talked to my wife and told her it was a payment glitch and that wow2 should be working in about 1/2 hour or something, and then she would be able to sign on. the person on the phone clearly knew and understood me and my wife were using the same bnet account to play on, but they never said we could get banned or actioned because of it. they knew i was signed on wow1 and they knew my wife was trying to sign onto wow2. unless blizzard installs cameras in your house they wont know who is logging on. |

Until you come back complaining that your toon was moved, you gold is gone and you're claiming that you've been hacked yet Blizzard states that there was no malicious access to your account. That's just one of the many scenarios we see here every week. That's just one reason NOT to share your account with anyone. |
