Was going for the achievement criteria of not being hit by Gout of Flame. I successfully interrupted it when he began to cast it, but after he died I didn't get that criteria met. I DID get hit by something fiery during the fight, but I interrupted Gout of Flame, and they didn't cast it a second time, so how did this happen? D=

You have to let him cast it then avoid damage from the circles that follow you. As a rogue, you can hit sprint and stay ahead of them quite easily, though they are fairly easy to avoid if you just keep moving.

That's uber lame... it doesn't say I have to let him cast it, it just says not to take any damage from it. I didn't know it meant THAT... they should really clarify better! |

While I do understand the confusion, achievement descriptions are usually not able to include all conditions that may be necessary, include what may disqualify you from receiving it. For example, many achievements will list that they require you to do X, but one of the other conditions for several of them is also to remain alive. In this case, if you look at it another way, the only way to "not take damage" from an ability is if it is possible to take damage in the first place. What you are avoiding doesn't technically exist if you do not allow the spell to be cast. :) If you wish to see a fuller description for these achievements though it may be a good idea to post in the Achievement and Guild Advancement forum. |
