Hi! I've been looking for a new realm to transfer to since my server is blowing up right now, in the worst way. I have considered a few options but Medivh is currently on the top of my list since Medivh is my favorite in-game character and it seems like it's not a total failure of a server.
I have raid-ready characters and while I want to raid, I'm also pretty hard into pugging old content (usually Ulduar or ICC). I haven't decided if I want to stay alliance or go horde yet, but I was just wondering if anyone could tell me a few things about this server.
I know it's a bit alliance-heavy, and I've heard good things about the raiding scene. But I'd like to know, for both sides, how the scene is for old content (like I said, mostly WotLK stuff). How's the community? Are there helpful people? I'd like to see raiding, so what's the progression like on both sides?
Thanks for all your help, and I hope to see you all soon!
Umm current content, people are pugging heroics now. I know Tornn is now running Normal 25 man GDKPs as well.
Old Content, we have weekly runs for both Ulduar and ICC. If you do transfer here contact Nibenon for Ulduar or Xuedo for ICC. Both are 25s and I think run smooth. I have been running them for a while. And if you wondering they focus on metas and non meta altering every week.
The server itself I dont think its bad. As stated above, a lot of pugs. Economy can be high at time but if you are into your professions the gold wont be an issue.
Elixis: Thank you for the information! :3
Nektrupos: I'm not necessarily looking for an Alli-heavy server, seeing as I'm considering a faction change too, but thanks :3
Azhurea: Haha thanks for the guild plug, I'll be sure to check it out :3
I've found it -really- depends on your schedule. Some days of the week, one side or the other will seem completely dead and you'll get no replies in trade LFM for an ICC25 acv run or something, but other days you'll get 20 replies within a minute or two.
That being said, even on the less-populated horde side, I haven't had significant difficulty finding folks for taking small groups (3 to 5) to clear out classic content.
Being in a similar situation as you, a couple of us decided to roll a new horde guild. Posted about it here: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/4079627560#1
