So as love is in the air draws to an end yet again i feel the misery of failing to obtain this rocket mount in its first year i defeatd the boss over 300 times to see no mount last year i defeated them everyday over 4 characters 4X14 = 56 and again this year 4x14 = 56 x2 = 102 + 300= 402.

So i have killed these guys over 400 times and still yet to see the mount anyone else think the rockets drop rate is a bit too low even if they doubled the drop rate it would still be pretty dam rare.

how many times have you done the rocket boss over the past 3 years have you ever seen it do you own one and or do you agree with me the rocket needs a slight buff to its drop rate?

The chance of not seeing it at all in 400 attempts is 52.7% so even though it sounds ridiculous, you're actually more likely to have never seen it with your sample size than to have seen it.

I don't have it, and probably never will, but I'm ok with that. It's alright for some stuff to simply be rare and for very few people to have it. Not everyone needs to get everything.

I would love one, though.

im not saying give it to everyone just buff the drop rate by say .3%

yep same here im up to 397 attempts ive seen 2 pets both on the same toon. Kinda usless huh cant even mail it to an another toon.

i know of 2 people on my sever who have a rocket and this is thier first year running the event.


RNG with a low drop rate is bad enough....now lets factor in 14 attempts a year.

Yeah that's my point if it were a once a day or even once a week thing i could handle it but a fortnight a year is just a tad silly for such a low drop rate.

i got lucky this year i got it to drop on friday on my main. and jugdeing by how only 3 ppl on my server have it ya it does need a boost

My only issue with this is the fact they advertised such a low drop as a part of the holiday.

We're supposed to be able to strive for things; This isn't even something you can hope for doing the event each and every day.

I've done the event every single day for 2 years now. Nothing.
I haven't even gotten a single holiday mount drop yet despite doing all of them.
There's absolutely nothing fair about limited attempts with such low drop rates.

Rare is rare.
Non-existent is non-existent.

Actually, you should probably count all of the people you did the dungeon with. Most people open their box before leaving the group that I've noticed and I can't say I've ever seen anyone get it that did the dungeon with me.

I like that there are things that are super common, super rare and everything in-between. The chance of getting the Big Love Rocket adds something to the world event that wouldn't be there if it was a common drop, or even a less uncommon one.

There are other rare mounts that require much more work to get (in addition to luck), real world money (e.g., TCG mounts) or are no longer available, it's just part of the game. I'm fine with it.

I like a 1% factor for holiday mounts. Seems about right for a mount.

I prefer the effort based system - However it'd be better if they had it so you couldn't just go farm a single pack of mobs for 3-4 hours and get the mount.

I don't see how a mount I've never even seen a single person on my server have adds anything of value to the game. It's so rare it may as well not exist at all.

i went i with 6 characters every day and never seen anyone recieve one let alone get one myself so 14x6 and each of those runs i watch what people get, rare is one thing this is silly.

1 person my my server received it, luckily they care about acheivements!

I've yet to get one either... ran it every day I could the last 2 years. I've only seen 2 people with it on my server, and one was from last year I think.

Yeah this is one mount i have given up hope on, dont often say that with mounts but its just one that we wont get.

Even funnier when they only have 6 mounts and one of them is this. Seriously, it is pathetically low. Either make something extremely low drop rate or make it limited time. Don't make it an extremely low drop rate and only give you 15 attempts (Can get one in as soon as its available on servers) per year. Its a terrible design concept.

The way they claimed it would work is that since players could only have one chance and only one chance a day (instead of summoning with alts for your main or paying people for their summon) that the special items would have their droprate buffed up to compensate. Pretty sure they "forgot" to include that mount. But whatever. hardly a surprise from Blizz.

Few people complaining and wanting buffs to drop rate... why? Then it's not so rare. I did opened 130 boxes this holiday and didn't get it. I still believe it should be left as it is, and it will be.
