Pandaren, Tauren, and Worgen skinnable in MoP
|
They seriously need to be, because it makes no sense Tauren are big cows and they aren't skinnable, and Worgen are werewolves or wolf men but aren't skinnable, when wolves are.
They have fur, they make good leather, make them skinnable. |

This is just a terrifying idea.
I'm sorry, but, I'm going to disagree with this idea. |

I would love to have a Tauren skin cloak and helm, forget making it with leather working just skin me a cow and wear it bloody.

Actually, this would be a cool concept. Adding a way in which your professions can become useful in PvP. If this idea was to be used, PvP Gear could be made by using those leathers. Lastly, it could be kind of like a "In-your-face" sort of thing where you can skin people instead of the old "Steal their insignia" thing.
Yet there are flaws, such as the levels for it, because skinning a level 1 Tauren shouldn't be the same as a lvl 90 in MoP. Also, this may be unbalanced to people like myself, who either mine or herb instead. Maybe they could make BGs such as AV to require ores or herbs or some sort of mat to gain a little bit more firepower. Anyways, nice idea. I like it personally. |

this would be nice.

I agree, maybe not players being skinned when they die but the NPCs
I think some worgen NPCs before cata were skin-able, and they were skin-able in the very beginning of cata in silverpine forest. So they have done it. just NO SKINNING DEAD PLAYERS. to many level 85s killing 81s for savage leather |

They are still PEOPLE not just bi-pedal animals. It would make just as much sense to have Orcs or Humans be skinnable. Though I do abmit that would be a whole other level of satisfaction/humiliation.

Does that make the Lich King skinnable?

Granted its been done already by an NPC in the game at least once. There is an Alliance quest in the Southern Barrens that requires you to recover this Orc's helmet by a worgen. Come to find out the Orc was wearing the worgen's brother.
The trouble with skinning, or any proffessions being put in a BG would be the number of people farming rather then contributing to the battle. This haunted Tol Barad so bad that Blizzard had to phase out the nodes/mobs during the battles. Alterac Valley would just be as bad. Not sure if you can skin the mobs there or not. And on the aside I've heard human skin makes for an inferior leather. |

Technically speaking, you could skin a night elf, draenei, or orc.
That doesn't mean it's in good taste. |
|
|
No. You know why?
Skinning a Worgen would aggro every Worgens. Skinning a Tauren would aggro every Taurens. Skinning a Pandaren would aggro every Pandarens. And of course, skinning a Druid would aggro every Druids. |
No. You know why? Oh yes skinnable druids to. |
|
|
And we should be able to
- Skin Hunter pets - Steal gear/gem/accessory/bag items from dead players - Have a small chance to instant kill other players, like a super crit - Ride Worgen, Taruen, Pandaren, and Druids as mounts |
|
|
YES. Well, Druids, at the very least. I mean, come on! Give druids an item, 1.5s cast, not usable in combat that increases your speed by 100% and lets one ally ride on your back. Riding saddle!
Mmm, yes and no. Depending on the quality of the skin it probably wouldn't make a terribly good leather. Most of the human-esque races presumably don't have thick hides. |
|
I believe this would cause some pretty bad PR. There have been times in human history that skins of humans were taken and used, it happened in WWll. Just very bad feelings and PR. Too close to not good real life events. Yeah this is a gory game, but there are limits.

I missed the part where skinners double up as Yautja...
Not something i can easily see implimented, and downright creepy. |
