Having recently lost entirely too many raiders to SW:tOR and being unable to fill even one 10-man raid more than once a week or so, it's time to recruit.

Our raid times are 7-10 server (Central) time, Tuesday and Thursday, with Monday for any spillover/progression/just for fun content. Our current needs are:

Two tanks of any kind, with a preference for a Blood DK and Prot Warrior. A DPS offspec is preferred as we have a reliable Main Tank, but not mandatory.

Two healers of any kind, with a preference for a Holy or Discipline Priest and a Restoration Shaman. We have a reliable Resto Druid and Holy Paladin and would prefer not to double up, but interested Druid/Paladin healers should feel free to app anyhow as our first concern is to get reliable people.

Melee DPS, with a preference for a Rogue (we kill Hagara every week if you've not managed to get a pickpocket on her yet), an Enhancement Shaman, and one or more plate DPS; preferably a DK and/or a Warrior. Offspecs are desirable but not mandatory.

Ranged/Caster DPS is low priority- we have up to three Warlocks, two Mages, and two Hunters as-is. However, our needs are such at this time that we do potentially have room for one more ranged DPS, so if you like the rest of what VoW is about enough to app anyhow despite gear competition, and you're a good fit, we'd be happy to have you.

We are currently only 4/8 in Dragon Soul, mostly due to our inability to raid consistently with a reliable raiding core. We've run into a bit of a wall on Ultraxion due to some low DPS/attendance issues. Make no mistake; this is not an excuse. VoW is not a hardcore progression guild and as such you should not expect to be completing hard mode content in the near future, but if you like relatively casual raiding without the pressure of heroic content and can be relied upon to show up, and want to down content on Normal mode rather than LFR, VoW might be a good fit for you. Deathwing is exceedingly doable, and with a solid core group of reliable raiders benefiting from the content we can down every week, we will resume progressing through Dragon Soul.

We are currently rebuilding our raid team after losing several members to post-Firelands disinterest and to other games (damn you, Star Wars). Prior to our recent troubles, we had two 10-man raid teams complete all of the Cataclysm content. While building two raid teams is not a likely goal at this time, one solid 10 man raid is only 3-4 recruits away. We've completed virtually all the raids since Vanilla. I'd like to say the same for Dragon Soul- this is where you come in.

Our guild policy is to keep Vent chat and Guild chat mature and PG-13; innuendo, jokes, most mature language, and friendly teasing are common and expected. However, flagrant f-bombs (especially before midnight or so, server time), offensive behavior, and abusive conduct of any kind are not permitted. Intolerance is a personal pet-peeve of mine, so if I see anyone engaging in discriminatory speech/behavior based upon creed/social status/ethnicity/sexual orientation etc. I will dispense summary justice- most likely a g-kick. If you're the sort of person who feels compelled to drop the other f-bomb, for example, this is not the guild for you.

What we do like are people who are friendly, helpful, insightful, and interested in both the game as a whole and with helping guildmates in particular. Many of our officers have a good deal of raid experience across the spectrum from 10 man normal through 25 man heroics across a number of different classes, and are willing to offer advice/assistance to anyone struggling with an alt (or a main, if you're a new player and don't really know your class inside and out yet). We expect all of our members to follow this example and be positive and helpful toward their fellows. We avoid trade chat trolling (or at least lean toward the more intellectual and/or absurd forms of trade trolling), we avoid publicly dissing other guilds, we avoid anything that would reflect negatively upon us as people. In short, as one of our members put it in his app, "Just act like your momma raised you right" even if she did not.
