So blizzard wants to make us only have 2 stances and switch depending on wether we need aoe damage or not. I dont have a problem with this and actually think its a good idea.
They currently plan on making berserker stance increase the damage of whirlwind, cleave and similar abilities. Yes this would accomplish the aoe vs single target stance idea but I doubt that either stance will feel different enough. The aoe stance needs to feel different from the single target stance, otherwise switching stances would feel like an annoying chore required to maximise dps. Yes the current plan would feel different in that some of your aoe moves would deal a bit more damage but i would imagine very minimally. My suggestion is to make berserker stance work a lot like a combat rogues bladeflurry. Switching to berserker stance would make all attacks do about 80% original damage to the target while doing about 40% to a nearby target. These percentages would make switching to zerker stance a 20% increase to damage in aoe and a 20% decrease in single target. Now blizz could switch the percentages around to find the numbers they like but i think 20% sounds good. If this did not feel aoe enough blizz could even make the copied hit evenly split across all adds in the area. Just wanted to hear thoughts on this idea. I like it a lot better than blizzs current plan with zerker stance. |

Three, but yeah.
Berserker stance will be different because I'm pretty sure there will be no cooldown on Whirlwind while in it. So basically your rotation would be Whirlwind->Whirlwind->repeat->forever, squeeze in Cleaves if you have enough rage. |

I like the sound of this but i just checked the talent calculator and the zerker stance tooltip says increase whirlwind and cleave damage by 20%

Frankly, I cant understand why wouldn't also increase the damage of Tclap.
I wish it was a stance that added an extra attack or splash effect to all our specials. Something like, "Each time an enemy is struck by your special attack, another nearby enemy takes damage equal to 20% of the original attack." |
