So I was playing WoW earlier, then I took a short break to go with some friends for about 3 hours. I got back maybe 10 minutes ago and when I went I hit "play" on the launcher I got a message I've never seen before. It says:
"World of warcraft was unable to start up 3D acceleration. Please make sure DirectX 9.0c is installed and your video drivers are up-to-date." But I was playing the game 3 hours ago... shouldn't everything be up too date? Nobody was using my computer during my outing with friends either... Please help this concerned and confused Draenei? |

Can you post some information about your computer? Cripes forgot to mention this little caveat.....do a custom install and ensure you UNCHECK any 3D drivers if you don't have any 3D equipment (glasses/goggles, 3D monitor, etc). If you fail to do so, you're going to have to go to Add/Remove Programs (Programs & Features in Windows Vista/7) and remove anything labeled "NVIDIA 3D xxxx" or else you'll hit some nasty WoW crashes.
