BM is Underrated in PvP

It has amazing burst potential. Hands-down the best spec to defend nodes with.
Nothing beats 2-shotting 3 people who attack Quarry in Isle of Conquest. Once you do it, you'll understand. Edit: apparently this thread has been derailed by people claiming that BM is superior to MM. That was NEVER the intent of this post. |

I don't think it's viable in most arena comps, but I'm saying that it's very viable in RBGs and random BGs. It can do comparable damage unless you're in a situation where no one is dying and you're just attacking things. It has a good self-heal, great burst, and good 1v1 capabilities. It's fine for RBGs, especially if you get stuck on node defending. |

it's overrated in pvp. No, that sums it up nicely I'd say. But the thing is, while you have BW popped, you can ANNIHILATE things, and it only has a ~35 sec cool down considering the CD starts while you have the effect. Not bad. |
it's overrated in pvp. i doubt anyone was going to say anything like this. but you have to to hand it to some of the BM hunters out there, they can just rip people up with or without BW. |

it's overrated in pvp. against awful and terrible players in random battlegrounds. because that matters so much. in arena pet ai / opposing player ability makes beast mastery damage trivial (at best) and makes life for the hunter more difficult than it needs to be. beast mastery is arguably the most overrated pvp spec i have heard of yet so far this expansion. right up there with some warlocks saying destruction is halfway decent. |

Either go MM as a hunter or reroll into another class, BM is godawful for arena and pvp in general

MM if you're serious. If you're BM you really should make sure your partners/team is ok with it because performance wise you are holding them back. This can always change, but currently that's just the way it is. If they are ok with this, or you're not playing super serious, then it's a fun spec I guess. I've always liked MM as it seems to be one of the very few specs left in the game that takes finesse to do well. To each his own.

BM is fun for getting points in 2v2 as double DPS and great for ganking.
serious PvP BM fails. sorry OP, but any class/spec can do very well in 1,800 RBGs. get to 2k plus, you will be annihilated. |

MM just brings way to much to the table to ignore and pets are really buggy not a good idea to rely
on your pet as a main source of your damage |

2000+ arena is not the axis upon which pvp revolves.
The majority of people spend the large majority of their pvp career in bgs/rbgs/tb. Since BM hunters excel at bgs.... |
