What will happen to the items such as love tokens, lovely charms, and charm bracelets after the event? Do they evaporate, or are they just taking up room till next year

Anything which has the label "Requires Love is in the Air" will vanish permanently when the event ends.

Anything which has the label "Requires Love is in the Air" will vanish permanently when the event ends. ^^ This. This is true of all holiday events with any item labeled as such for the event. I'd also caution, based on your timezone - to not wait till the last minute to make your purchases. If your realm timezone and instance timezones are significantly different, there are always a few edge cases that come up where tokens and such disappear due to those time differences as well. Please, make sure you have any necessary purchases done as soon as possible prior to the end of any holiday. |

Used the Slags in HoL (on my tank toon) and got about 200 in 45 minutes of farming. That was more than enough to let Pah buy the mount and pick up two of the pets on my warrior for ... speculation. And since the charm bracelets don't bind, you can share with your friends. oh, the drop rate wasn't horrible, but when one has altitists, it gets a bit 'meh' over time, lol
Or alts. :Ptried mailing, wouldn't let me. unfortunately, due to remodeling, i won't be getting the mount this year, though i did manage to get another toon two Meta's closer to Long Strange Trip! |

You have to send them in wrapping paper. :)
The only thing that is standing between me and my violet proto are the Children's Week PVP achievements. This means I will never get the proto. :( |

There are two dailies which do not require bracelets (Crushing the Crown and the random sample daily), plus additional love tokens from the Heart-Shaped box from the Crown Company daily boss. I spent two long weeks collecting Love Tokens to buy that new swift Lovebird mount. A few of my toons needed 50 tokens or less to get it at the end of the holiday and I was looking forward to getting it at the beggining of next year's holiday. But you (Blizzard) took away all my tokens! That is NOT fair. We get to keep our Coins of Ancestry from the Lunar Festival, why not my Love Tokens? Give them back please....

They aren't going to give them back. They've moved more toward the holiday currency disappearing after the holidays are over.
I'm assuming that the Coins of Ancestry stay as these are strictly quest rewards and you can only get a finite number each year, from the Elders. All the other holiday currencies can be gained by doing dailies, farming for them, buying them from vendors, etc. I don't know if that's the actual reason we get to keep the Coins, but that's what I'm guessing. :p If you think the holiday currencies should be kept year round, you might want to post about it in the General forum, since that's where the developers look. They don't check this forum. :p |
