I bet I know why Theramore Isle is destroyed.

Blizz is just too lazy to add a new dock to go to panda land. No more Theramore Isle, no more place for that boat to go. But, hey look, it can go here now.
Where as for the Horde, they'll just slap another ugly Zeplin tower into the landscape, can't have too many of those things. Not that Blizz would ever admit this. |

hey i happen to like those ugly zepplin towers! :P

A boat has traveled between Menethil Harbor and Theramore since launch. It also sometimes took you to Stonetalon mountains, when the captain had been drinking heavily. |

I wonder if those Deserter Agitators have something to do with it, and the aggression towards Jaina...

Stormwind still has two unused docks. Hmm... so does Theramore.

One can only imagine how that Jania can be so stupid to think that her town is safe on the edge of horde territory when Thrall's not the one calling the shots anymore. Betrays her own father but seems to assume that a warmonger like Garrosh will want to be friends with her just because Thrall was.

LOL really? I missed that, darnit! I did however, hit my ghost button after dying in Desolace only to have my ghost appear in Westfall once. As for the "reason" Theramore is destroyed, it looks like someone has never read the lore, played entirely through starting zones, or even actually quested in Theramore or Dustwallow Marsh. Have you looked at a map recently? Theramore is RIGHT DOWN THE COASTLINE from Orgrimmar. You know, that place where the "temporary" Warchief Garrosh sits & yells that he WILL wipe all non-horde (which SHOULD actually read non-orc) life off of Azeroth so that the orcs can destr-- have it all? (Ok so he doesn't like sit there & yell it through Orgrimmar, but the guy has absolutely NO idea about "inside voice" so he yells EVERYTHING he says when you talk to him or turn in quests.) If you'd actually played any of the Cataclysm content, you'd know this & the destruction of Theramore would make more sense to you. Not to mention, Jaina just happens to be one of the more "pesky humans" with her constant bids for peace between both sides. Now that Thrall/Go'el is out of the picture, if he "accidentally" kills off Jaina too, there is no longer any possibility of "peace" between them & he no longer has to deal with anyone suggesting it. I do sincerely hope that Jaina does NOT die though. I want to see that girl ANGRY! It's time someone actually DID hand Garrosh the slapdown he so richly deserves. (No, not because he's a thoroughly dislikeable character, although he IS, but that said, he's actually a proper orc & Thrall was not, but because of how he has treated those who have been so loyal to the horde for so long - Vol'Jinn, Cairne, Baine, Saurfang, etc.) |

I hope Blizz stops portraying Alliance leaders as incompetent retards. Gilneas, gone. Ashenvale, under siege/destroyed. Azshara, gone. Hillsbrad, gone. Andorhal, overrun. And yet Blizz portrays them all as thinking it will stop there. Not to mention how Tirion can just sit idly by Hearthglen and not see Sylvanas going all Lich Queen. And how has even Garrosh not done anything about her using the plague on Gilneas. Hell he threw one of his own generals off a cliff for killing innocents(Tauren and Night Elves) in Stonetalon. It's not like her plague raises those it kills as forsaken like when Arthas did it, it just kills.
|
And those ones in Theramore are staying unused since it's going buh-bye to the alliance. Though I suppose they might be used depending if Theramore is occupied instead of burned to the ground. |

It's not like her plague raises those it kills as forsaken like when Arthas did it, it just kills. Actually sylvanas's plague does the very same thing, for the sole purpose of the forsaken not being able to breed. She may sound insane but like any true leader her people come first. And she knows what she can, and can't get away with. |

From a lore perspective, if some crazy undead !@#$% killed me and turned me into a Forsaken for the purposes of bolstering their ranks, I sure as hell wouldn't be happy. I'd probably throw myself into the nearest bonfire or just play along and ascend through the ranks until I could unleash some crippling sabotage on a massive scale. |

If that were true, Gilnaes would have an undead population, there is nothing there. What Sylvanas has made is something that was supposed to kill the living and unliving alike as it's original intended use was to be used against Arthas. |

Sylvanas raises new Forsaken with the aid of Val'kyr, not with the plague. If you missed the Wrathgate cinematic, the Forsaken plague KILLS the living AND the dead (undead). This is the same plague she is using on Southshore & attempted to use at Gilneas. |

Go do the quest lines in the Southern Barrens, both Horde and Alliance. Those quests give their factions views on what happened at Camp Taurajo which will ultimately lead to what happens in Theramore. As to why, Shaie says it better than I can,

HAHA! It's so true! Basically it all comes to down to Garrosh. I really don't think Garrosh cares so much about what actually happened in Camp Taurajo but he see it as a means to further his goal to destroy Jania. As for Garrosh and Sylvanas, I personally think the old cliche, "keep your friends close but your enemies closer" applies. Garrosh is afraid of Sylvanas. He does not know what she is capable of (yet) so he tolerates her, but Garrosh is not stupid he is watching her. Studying his enemy, planning his attack, and waiting for the right time to strike (MoP maybe?). |

More then enough reason to put her down like the dog she is. |

But that means the blood elves would have to actually contribute something to the horde.
|
You think that adding an entire destroyed town to the Dustwallow map (and the associated questlines and lore events) is easier than adding a boat that goes to one of SW's unused docks? |
|

Blizz is just too lazy to add a new dock to go to panda land. No more Theramore Isle, no more place for that boat to go. But, hey look, it can go here now. Zepplins are classic Horde transports while boats are classic Alliance transports. I would be a sad Horde panda if I had to take a boat. And there is a dock right outside Org, so if Blizzard wanted to be lazy the could just make a Horde boat leave from there. |
